H10 Itaca, Barcelona

A friendly welcome on arrival, and nicely appointed (very clean) rooms with large and comfortable beds. The plunge pool (unheated but it is shallow) was most welcome after a hot day's sightseeing, and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The evening menu is limited but the food was again excellent, and the outside eating & drinks area was a great place to use. The staff were all friendly and really seemed to want us to enjoy our stay in the hotel and Barcelona generally. The location of the hotel is not totally central, BUT it is just a 6/7 minute walk & suitcase pull from Sants railway station. Tarragona station on Metro line L3 is closer still for very frequent Metro trains to Las Ramblas (10 mins away), Catalunya and Sagrada Familia. There is also a good direct bus service from Sants station to close to Park Guell. We bought "Hola Barcelona" cards giving unlimited travel in the city on buses, metros and trains. There didn't seem to be many restaurants near the hotel, so we caught the metro to eating spots. Recommended without hesitation. We'd be very happy to stay there again.

Stayed 4 nights in Aug 2024, had 2 rooms, both very clean and tidy, however very small rooms. But they served a purpose, to sleep in and rest after our days of sightseeing! Has mini bar in room ,but you were charged for anything you had from it! Hotel is in a good location from Barcelona Sants train/metro station. Around a 10/15 min walk. Good transport for bus and metro links. Some good cafes, restaurants nearby, with a supermarket, large goods shop and a pharmacy. We didnt have breakfast as it was priced at 18 per person, which we thought was overpriced, and didnt eat from the bar food menu, so cannot comment on the food. Bar was open until 11pm and staff were helpful and friendly. Good choices of alcoholic and soft drinks and a small cocktail menu was also available. Reception staff were polite and helpful and did respond to our query quickly when we had no electricity in our room. Overall good hotel, would recommend.

We stayed here for 4 nights recently and it was fantastic. The staff were really helpful with great English. They were able to advise us on places to go etc and how so save funds. The hotel its self if in a really good location right next to Sants metro line which is a great underground train line with super fast 2/3 minute trains (we dont have these in England this good other than London so we were impressed). We recommend getting a 10trip pass which was around 13 I think but so worth it this was recommended to us by the hotel staff. We had a deluxe room and other than the coffee machine Im not too sure what was deluxe but we loved it. The beds are so comfy and even had 2 pillows on each bed which is amazing. Light sheets plus a duvet for if you get cold. The air-con in the room was great although a little noisy if you need silence to sleep- we didnt. Rooms are clean but could do with some TLC such as limescale clean around the bath tub, shower head and window ledge but didnt put us off. It was still very clean. It had a bath tub but no plugs for bath or sink. Might have been able to ask for them but we didnt need it. The breakfast was good lots of choices even for the fussiest eaters like myself. Fresh juices and water available. Breads, meat, pastries, fresh fruit and more. The meals in the restaurant at night were fabulous too. We didnt see much about this on reviews before we went so had to risk it and it was fabulous. We had burgers, pizza & sandwiches and were really good quality food full of flavour and tasty. So I would recommend this and wish there was more reviews about it. The pool is a great plunge pool for sitting in and relaxing it was deep enough to sit and be mostly submerged. It wasnt the cleanest so you have to not think about the pigeons taking a bath next to you or the dirt floating around (also didnt smell of chlorine) but it did the job to cool down. I do wish there were some sun-beds in the shade or with some parasols next to them as I didnt want to always sit in direct sun but wasnt another option. Or even some away from the pool area. But over all we loved our stay and would highly reccomend it to anyone visiting Barcelona- couldnt have been a better and more convenient location.

The H10 was beautiful! The entrance hall was amazing! Bedroom was just right for myself and my friend with lots of wardrobe space. Only small point in the bathroom it was very spacious but the window was small and up high so couldn't open it. The breakfast was amazing...lots of fruit, pastries and hot food to fill up on. For anyone travelling from a round the globe you will not be disappointed with the selection.
