H10 Tenerife Playa, Tenerife

Our second visit in 6 months. A few new faces and lots of older ones. The staff do work so hard here. We had 6 nights here half board. Plenty of choice for breakfast juices cereals yoghurt pastries cooked meats pats breads cakes fresh fruits doughnuts along with bacon eggs sausage hash browns . I do recommend the freshly cooked omlets. Also a plethora of coffee teas beer if you want it and cava. Evening meals also had 30+ different main courses. And so many deserts. The room was clean and tidy 318 but not a great view and is showing its age now. The cleaners are hard working and do a great job. Restraunt staff also. Reception, bar staff, security and the pool staff also brilliant. I used the laundry service to get 3 shirts ironed all done within an hour highly recommended.

We have just come back from a week in H10 Tenerife Playa hotel. Lovely staff, nice location on the promenade facing the seafront. Main promenade is to the left of the hotel; if you go to the right and up the main street at the end, there is a small shopping centre. Also a mini market within 2 minutes walk. - A good amount of restaurants within walking distance, lots of souvenir/beach towel etc. shops as well and reasonably priced. - Lots of different people (not just Brits and Im a Brit!) so it was nice for my teens to practice their Spanish a bit. - We are not sunbathers but we passed the pool every morning around 9am and there were still a few space left, probably because the sun doesnt really get super hot until midday. However at midday, only the odd chair left. Lago Martinez is opposite the hotel with lots of sun beds, its 5 pp but be warned, the water is cold! But there are 5 large pools. - Staff are lovely at the hotel, super friendly. - We are 3 ladies so there were 2 single beds and a large sofa bed. I found the bed quite hard but then, I have a sensitive back. My teen said the sofa bed was comfortable. Good sized room, managed to fit 3 suitcases without tripping over them. - Good air con and housekeeping did a great job. Shower gel etc. good quality. - A few excursion shops/stands up the promenade and on different side streets so plenty of opportunity to go to Loro Parque and Siam Park. We got the dual ticket and I would definitely say it was worth it. The bus takes around 1.5 hours for Siam Park at 8.30am but well worth it (around 24pp). For Loro Parque, there is a free tram that goes every 20 minutes from the McDonalds at the end of the promenade. Also lots of boat trips available. - The restaurant isnt too bad. Ive been to a few all inclusive and half boards. We went HB this time. The evening selection was average compared to those and this is a 4* hotel. However there was something there every day for everyone. There are breakfast and dinner queues if you arrive at 9-9.30am or 8.30-9pm respectively but thats to be expected I guess. We like an early dinner so were fine at 7pm. Breakfast was good, fresh omelette made to order, other eggs, cereals, yoghurt (interesting texture!), fruit, usual bacon, beans, hash browns, some breaded fish items. Fruit smoothies were nice as well. Staff show you to your table and clear plates quickly. - We didnt choose a sea view room so we were facing the side street. It was loud until late at night (11-12pm) so I found it hard to sleep at times. Then early in the morning, deliveries would arrive so we could hear those. - The entertainment was average. There was a Caribbean show one night which was good. The other nights were ok. The animation guy worked really hard day and night. Not many people watching the entertainment which isnt great for the performers. I think a lot of people just went out to the restaurant and bars on the promenade. - Dont worry if you dont like dressing up for the meals - not many people made an effort. - Can get quite breezy near the seafront at night so you might need a light layer (standard seafront expectations) Overall Im impressed with the H10 hotel.

I was a little uneasy after reading all of the complaints on here before I travelled. However, don't listen to a single word. I have stayed in many hotels and this one is up there with some of the best. The location is one of the best I've stayed in..right on the bay, amazing views of the surfers, and on the main promenade. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a medical incident during our stay, and the staff went over and above. Yes the restaurant does get busy during popular times but the variety of food for every diet is amazing. We stayed half board and absolutely loved the variety for breakfast. The rooms were cleaned daily and the whole hotel is spotless. All in all a brilliant stay, and yes I will certainly be back!!

We stayed here for 10nights, we upgraded our room from the ground floor to the eighth floor over looking the sea & the mountains to our right. The food was excellent with lots of varieties for breakfast to many to mention. The two pools were good. Cafe de Paris a five minute walk from the hotel put on a show every Thursday evening. Tickets cost around €50 -€60 each highly recommended. The only issue we had was two cockroaches in the quiet room & one in our room on the day of departure. The hotel call them Tenerife butterflies. If I was to rate the hotel & holiday it would be 10/10.
