H10 Las Palmeras, Tenerife

We stayed 7 days all inclusive in a privilege room in this hotel We have stayed in a good few other H10 hotels on a privilege basis. As far as the room is concerned we found it rather small for a privilege room in comparison to what we have had before in other hotels. Facilities in the room were all good and the bed comfortable. The one complaint I had was that the floor was not regularly cleaned but everything else was good. The staff throughout the hotel with the exception of the pool bar were excellent and especially the security guard and the gentleman on the privilege desk who helped my husband when we lost the key to my mobility scooter. The privilege lounge and terrace did not open till 10am which I found very odd. I can see that they could not give access to the drinks till then but I think they need to find a way to still allow guests access to the terrace and sunbeds. Perhaps a locking shutter over the drinks shelves would do that. It jut seems strange that guests can access sunbeds everywhere else in the hotel early morning except the privilege area until 10am. The only criticism I have of the privilege terrace was that again the floor was not cleaned. I don't think it was washed throughout our stay and you could not leave your bag or step on it with bare feet without getting dirty. Not that it affected us, but we also noted that the privilege lounge closed at 7pm where any other in our experience has been open until 11pm. Not huge gripes but I do think the hotel neds to address the dirty floor situation. We always wore the slippers provided but knowing it had not ben cleaned annoyed a bit and the terrace one really was very bad Food wise we found the Italian and the Teppanyaki restaurants to be very good. The main reason we book privilege is that neither of us like buffets. We did try twice at lunch time as apart from pool bar food it was all that was open but we never found anything other than the salad bar that we would have eaten. The food service at pool bar was very very slow and staff grumpy s o we went out for a sandwich at lunch. I must add that the privilege lounge always had nice sandwiches in the morning and pizza at 4pm but we never tried as had breakfast and don't eat in afternoon before dinner. We always like to come away from the sun and have a leisurely lunch even if it is only a sandwich. The hotel is well placed with the beach to the rear and a walkway with shops and cafes which provides a nice walk after lunch. To the front you are straight onto the main street of the resort with restaurants, shops and bars in abundance. The beach is rocky although these is a sandy part but if going into the water beach shoes would be advisable. All in all we enjoyed our stay but if we returned would have to look at what board basis would suit us if any, as the choice is limited on privilege although the restaurants are good

Just returned from 1 week in this hotel. Its a strange one. It felt like we were stepping back in time to a 1990s Tenerife. Hotel requires updating. However very clean and welcoming reception areas. However it was a hit and a miss with waiter and waitress service, some so cheerie and helpful and others so rude and unhappy. The pool bar was the worst ever. Cocktails were just premixed bottles under fhe counter with alcohol added. Counter was drab and old fashioned and snack food not worth ordering. Main dining room, resembled a canteen. Nothing charming or warming about it at all. Looked as if it had never been modified in 30 yrs. Some nights food choices brilliant - other nights - was like, what is that ? Bedrooms - again very clean - however sparse, small. 1 plug at bedside. 1 under the dressing table - no good for man nor beast as no mirror above it. TV has taken over that space. Large dress mirror but no plug near it so could not even pull chair across to dry hair. Only option was a hot steamy bathroom with the hair dryer in there. These things seems petty, however in these modern times, with electric devices, hair dryers, straighteners etc. just totally hopeless. Wardrobe - short length - so dresses crushed. TV - if you had a bad day was actually ok to watch. A lot of British channels. Poolside - very busy - but always found a sun bed - however would not wish to be there in height of summer. Some umbrellas broken, beds dirty. This hotel just needs an uplift to modern day times, We needed to use reception as we both took ill on final day and rhey were fantastic - shout out to Javiar - who helped us emmensly. We had a high floor room on the opposite side to the Dubliner and only heard the waves when we slept. Shame that it was the 2024 European surfing championships and we had arena level music from 8am till midnight .. constantly. However we were on holiday. Until the restaurant and rooms are upgraded I would not return. This has the making of a fabulous hotel, it has just been left to the side I think. Staff doing an amazing job and very clean.

Great staff, breakfast had lots of options and sweets stuff for sweet tooths. The beaches were close by and the pools were enjoyable. Shopping for groceries and souvenirs were close by and cheap. Location is great! Thank you for the free upgrade.

A very lively hotel in a very lively area. As long as you aware of that fact then everything is good. Good food, good atmosphere and lovely staff. The only downside was not a hotel issue but selfish guests. People would be queuing at first light to reserve sunbeds, which would then remain unused until after lunch. A trip whale and dolphin watching was amazing and a trip to Lori Parque was fantastic. We are booking again for next in this hotel and bringing the rest of the family.
