Decent Hotel, OK Location

Flight went via Fuertaventura because of high winds. Appreciate being safe but added to travel time. Airport process at Glasgow and Tenerife was seamless. Bus to hotel was painful particularly after a long flight. We mustve passed our hotel by a few times we couldve gotten off and walked a short distance rather than go the long route via every hotel that were across from each other. Unnecessary unless there are mobility issues to consider.
Hotel was in an ok location. Not much directly around. Beach area desolate at night. The places we enjoyed on the golden mile or towards Adeje would be preferred for future trips. Hotel check in was quick. Room on 7th floor overlooking the mountains. Lovely view. Had we been on a lower floor, Id not have been happy as the view would be restaurant roofs and fans and the greasy smell we sometimes smelled would be more powerful. The room was ok. It was small and clean. Floors modern and walls reasonably freshly painted but furniture and wallpaper was very dated. Bathroom was modern but sealant and grouting had some dated mould. Good amenities with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.
Buffet restaurant was noisy and busy so not relaxing. Food was fine, always found something. Having stayed in the Benidorm H10 which is amazing, this was a bit of a let down. The restaurant that looked like the Benidorm one was only for privileged guests in Tenerife. Over the week we managed to go right up the back where it was quieter. Omelettes were amazing when the good chefs were on. This was when it was busy. When it was quieter the b staff were on and they were not so well cooked. Fillings were odd eg: carrot or aubergine so I would get tomatoes from the salad bar with a cheese omelette. Fruit always looked old or bruised so that was disappointing. Salad bar was brilliant. Hot food was decent. Grill area was ok. Breakfast pastries were limited choice. Desserts were variable. The half board upgrade was good value overall.
Pool area was lovely and relaxing. Choice of areas for busy, quiet, shaded, sunny. Although overcast, I enjoyed the aqua aerobics.
Lobby bar had no atmosphere and felt like a pop up bar. Lighting too harsh. No wine list. We ordered a bottle with dinner and took upstairs and sat in reception which was a nicer area.
Entertaining bar was a nicer area but only open if entertainment on. If you didnt have kids, you had to suffer baby shark to get a seat for the later show so we didnt bother so cant comment on entertainment quality.
Not sure if I would return. Wouldnt say dont go but go with info and if it fits what you need it will be perfectly suitable. Things that would put me off returning are mainly location and the possibility of a lower floor.

Stayed here for a week - Adapted bathroom was excellent as was our twin room - no sun on balcony at any time of day but had good views of pool(s) area, gorgeous gardens & even sea views ( Room 0069 on same floor as reception )
Hotel is huge & very centrally located
Tip - can exit back gate from far end of pool area ( near the only designated smoking area ) which takes you straight to the beach promenade to save walking all the way around
Rooms were attended by housekeeping daily & they did a great job
All Staff were lovely
We had a couple of small issues which were attended to immediately
Main buffet dining area - Fabulous with so much choice and a different Country theme each night
Breakfast choices were extensive
Snack Bar by pools - Lovely place to sit - Food not so great but literally just a snack to have with a drink so, all good
Italian restaurant within the Hotel was lovely with super friendly staff & great meal & the Jaoanese restaurant was Fabulous - even if you're not in to Japanese food ( which was good ) recommend you go once purely for the whole experience
Biggest shout out is to Mike's Coffee Shop ( near the main dining area & exit to pool area ) Absolutely lovely - Espresso Martini tick tick tick
Night time live entertainment in hotel a bit dodgy but definitely worth one visit purely for entertainment value - you'll see what I mean when you get there !!
Overall, would highly recommend this Hotel

lovely hotel with beautiful sea view

this hotel is in a brilliant location handy for beach, cafes and amenities, The hotel itself is very clean ,the room we were in (215) was very clean with a great sea view .but the bathroom could do with some work ie shower over flowed onto bathroom floor due to poor seal round door and sealant round glass .there was also a few slack sockets that need attention, the food was good there was something for every taste ,we found the piano bar could be quite cold the downstairs bar had a nice atmosphere bar staff were very friendly entertainment was a bit hit and miss. pool area was brilliant and pool bar was good. found the hotel bracelet system poor as there is no receipts given so you don't actually know what you're being charged. overall we had an enjoyable week

It was my ,first holiday alone, but everyone was so welcoming and friendly, from the lovely chap by the pool who sorted my umbrella for me to all the staff, entertainment in the pool was great, plenty choice of food which was delicious, rooms were spotless.my only moan is I caught the bug going around, and the road view was loud at night, but once i closed the doors it was ok. I will be back next year.xx
