Scrapes a 4* rating, Needs a revamp

Stayed here last week, arrived late and were met at reception by a woman who wasn't very helpful and really didn't care, not the best of starts, reception is nice and spacious, got given wristbands which are used to unlock your rooms instead of a key card, the key cards did not work, so went down and got them activated as the lady didn't do that, I waited until she left and dealt with a nice gentleman, and all other staff that I dealt with at reception were equally as nice, the rating is nearer a 3 than a 5, Good points - Roof top terrace, both sides at floor 8, one side with a whirlpool the other with a few beds and loungers, great view, rooms were spacious, Food was decent, the cooking stations are busy but at least the food is fresh and hot, and most of the staff are great, 5 minute walk to one of 2 beaches nearby, 1st is 9 euro for 2 sunbeds and a lounger, the other beach is 12 euro, plenty of shops nearby as well, kettle in the room, 1st bottle of water is free. great side view balcony, Bad points - Rooms are dated, Door to bathroom struggled to shut, leaks kept appearing after a shower, the wristbands are used to buy drinks but beware with this for 2 reasons, 1st is the drinks are not cheap and 2nd, twice they tried to charge me for drinks I did not have, we kept paying on a daily basis to keep an eye on the amount we drank, there has to be an easier way for this, Overall enjoyed Los Christianos and this hotel to some extent but the wristband issue and the bathroom annoyed me slightly.

Disappointed

The hotel is lovely in everyway, staff, food, cleanliness. Only downside, where it is. Very built up all around it and lots of run down areas around, shops boarded up and litter lying about! Unfortunately this has only happened since Covid. Los Cristianos used to be a lovely area, not so much now!!

So beautiful it made me emotional

Absolutely perfect. Lovely location, beach, people everything is perfect. Staff go above and beyond to help. Restaurant staff very attentive. All so friendly. Hotel is so clean and well kept.

Fabulous H10 Big Sur

We had a most enjoyable stay at H10 Big Sur. The staff helped make this a memorable holiday, we had a lovely room with a gorgeous balcony and sea view. The room was a bit dated, along with the bathroom, they could certainly do with a refresh but they were cleaned daily and fresh towels were plentiful. The daily surprise gift's were lovely along with the chocolates each evening, a lovely gesture. We were delighted with our surprise rose cava in our room on arrival and a welcome drink on check in. Elana on reception was helpful and kind. The food choices at breakfast, during our stay were varied and there was always something new to try. We loved the Irish sausages and rashers. The choices for evening meals were fabulous and the extremely, hardworking chef's go the extra mile to prepare sumptuous meals, all cooked to order. We particularly liked that all meats and fish were cooked fresh each night, they were worth the wait and always served with a smile. The waiters were so welcoming and friendly particularly Pasquel, Juan, Jose, Kenneth and lovely Lorenzo. We looked forward to dining each evening and would highly recommend half board. The entertainment each night was fantastic and the artists were professional, polished and highly entertaining. Probably the best hotel entertainment we've ever experienced. The only issue we had was the lack of air conditioning in the reception, foyer and indoor dining area. We will definitely return to this hotel albeit during cooler months.
