My fifth visit to my favourite hotel and, yet again, it didnt disappoint. The weather has probably been the worst in the four decades Ive been coming to Tenerife and we felt so fortunate that we could at least still enjoy our holiday due to the high standards of the Big Sur. Our room had a sea view, (something I certainly recommend), and was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The fifth floor cleaning Manageress, Monica,is one of the loveliest people you could ever meet and wonderful at her job. All members of staff at this hotel excel and are the friendliest team of workers in the hotel business. A big shout out for the beautiful Camilla, the young bar girl who looked after us all so very well every evening . The entertainment is always incredible here but it surpassed itself with The Pioneers MC, a four piece group who specialised in Mowtown. They were superb!!!
Food here really wonderful, the pool area always kept immaculate and here we are - already planning our next trip.

Over 50 and up to 90 Fantastic. This is not top quality but it is very comfortable and very clean. All staff are excellent, food is good, breakfast excellent. Bar prices really acceptable and evening entertainment a lot of fun every day. Each evening has different music acts some of which are fabulous. This suits us and like lots of others we come back year after year. More pool beds than people so never a problem whatever time of day.

Not all I hoped for

A very good location right at the shore, and with a large outdoor pool and spa and with full sea views for a premium from front facing rooms. The hotel has been well modernised. Staff were excellent, particularly housekeeping and bar and Eva and Camila in the bar were both exceptional.
Not so good was being obliged to purchase water throughout my stay and breakfast and dinner being buffet style although there was a small grill area doing on the spot cooking of imited items. This resulted in many overcooked main meat and fish dishes although salads and puddings/cakes were not affected. The laundry service was excellent but very expensive e.g. 4.50 for a shirt. WiFi service in the rooms was ofter poor. My biggest surprise was how old the guests were. The average age looked about 60-70 with many using disability equipment and this definitely had a negative impact on the atmosphere.

Stayed at the Big Sur for 10 nights in February and cannot praise the hotel enough. The staff, sea view room, food and refreshments were 1st class and we cannot wait to return. Thank you H10 Big Sur for a wonderful stay.
