Great Boutique hotel.

Great place to stay. Fab location. Superb breakfast choices. Friendly staff. Boutique feel around. Lots to keep you busy.

Had a 4 night extended weekend at H10 Big Sur and it was fantastic. Situated right on the promenade that is Los Cristianos through Play de la Vista and on to Las Americas and beyond. It makes for a great starting point for a lot of walking. The hotel to be honest doesnt look like much from the outside, but once in there you are transported mainly thorugh all the serrvices provided and the behaviour of the staff. Theyre so friendly welcoming and genuinely interested in providing a service. The pool was excellent. Mike's Bar had a great rolling set of offers from coffees to happy Hours. This adults only hotel is perfect to both chill and relax, to unwind or to reenergise. Rooms are clean and tidy well provided. We had a rear facing room which wasnt a probl;em for us becuase we were only in the room for a few hours to sleep. Some of the furnishings and decor in the rooms was a bit dated and tired could do with some repairs and repainting but overall thoroughly presentable with good clean beds and bedding and incredibly good value for a long weekend. Being positioned at the end of the prominade, and having a rear facing room we didnt have any problems with noise levels, and thehotel was remarkably quiet overall due to its adult only nature.

Christmas at H10 BIG SUR

On Arrival was welcomed by Anna nice Lady, Room 308 Pool view nice room the cleaning ladies worked so hard to keep everything clean, bed very comfortable Shower water Hot and plentiful. Dining Room A nice welcoming Room, waiting Staff very good and made sure your needs were met Selection of Food is very good ( could be hotter) just an observation. Christmas Evening Meal Well I felt sorry for the staff they had worked so hard to make it special all smartly dressed, but they opened the doors at first sitting it was horrendous people shoving and pushing felt really uncomfortable, and for public to go to a special meal in Shorts T shirts and flip flops how disrespectful to the Staff. Having said that would we visit again possibly

Can' Wait To Return in 2024!!

The coach drops you a short walk from the hotel entrance, as the entrance isn't big enough for the coach, this wasn't an big issue, just to make you aware if you are any mobility issues. You will have to be in the same place when you are collected and not in the hotel lobby, something to bare in mind. Arrived at the hotel to a warm welcome and a cold glass of cava, check-in was quick. Our bedroom was ready which was a bonus. We had booked a front facing balcony room on the fifth floor. Had a great view of the passers-by and the sea. The hotel was room was great, beds were really comfortable. The balcony has two chairs and a table. The little extras - Nespresso machine and pods that were replenished daily, along with a couple of biscuits and 2 bottled waters. The cups were on the small side, so we asked one of the housekeepers and she provided 2 larger cups. The daily cleaning was to a high standard and we accordingly left a good tip. Wish we had tipped daily, as there were different housekeepers every day, will remember this for our next visit. We were provided with two good quality towels, which could be changed when necessary around the pool. The pool area was opened daily at 9.30 am. Some people chose to queue to get a 'particular spot', we didn't feel the need as there was always lots of beds available and this is one of the reasons we chose this hotel, not getting stressed about getting a bed, you are on holiday and deserve for it to be stress free. There are also two small roof top terraces, we only used one of these on the last day, to give it a go. The were very clean and there was a shower if you wanted to refresh yourself. The beds on the sun deck had thick cushions and there were also full sized beds there too .... it does get hot up there as you can't feel any breeze. We are not fussy eaters and always found there was plenty of choice, the staff were in the main very polite and friendly. I'm sorry to say there was an exception to this. The breakfast manager in the restaurant was bordering on being rude, he stomped around, never smiled, barked orders ... so much so I mentioned it to the lady that took your room details in the evening, she did say she would pass my concerns onto management. The breakfast manager became a talking point amongst quite a number of guests on how rude he was. Such a shame as the evening restaurant manager was the polar opposite and couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. The entertainment was varied, some acts were better than others, the entertainment usually started about 9.15 ... some nights it was on till 10pm and other nights till 10.15. Shame it doesn't start a little earlier. The bar prices are a little more than local bars, but not expensive for a hotel. It was nice to have an afternoon drink and be in the cool in the open bar area/terrace. The foyer always smelt lovely. Found the reception staff to always be helpful. I reported a plug in the bedroom wasn't working and it was repair within the day. There is a local market on twice a week and it is literally within 5 minutes of the hotel. The hotel is central for lots of walks and shops/bars. Would I go back, in a HEART BEAT ... look forward to a return visit in 2024. TIPS - If your budget allows book a balcony. Enjoy the restaurant terrace, lovely to be eating outside. You can enjoy a free coffee and one cake (you will have to share) at Mike's within the hotel, this is every day I think its 4-5pm, then there is happy hour in the same place, only downside to this ... there isn't much outdoor seating and its mainly in the sun and boy does it get hot while you are sat there. There is a small pool table and table tennis table at the side of the pool for a small fee. There was exercise in the pool most days provided by an external company, it was good to watch them all :-) ...
