H10 Big Sur, Tenerife

Chilled, relaxed & attentive - excellent experience at the Big Sur Located at the quiet end of Los Christianos, easy access to the front and shops Los Christianos main bus station very close and great if you want to explore the island . Definitely will be coming back

Our first stay at H10 Big Sur. Our first stay in Tenerife for some time. The drink offered at reception on arrival is a lovely touch, whilst completing the check-in paperwork. You are issued a wrist band during check-in. This enables entry into your room and is also used for payments during your stay. On entering our sea view room it did feel quite small. There is not a huge amount of storage space for clothing etc. The room also seemed a little dark, with not a lot of lighting. The room was very clean, with complimentary hand wash, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. A coffee machine with pods, milk and water is in the room. The water and coffee supplies are replenished daily. A mini fridge, filled with drinks which are chargeable if used. I would have preferred an empty fridge to use as I wished rather than pre-filled. Safe, which is charged daily, in the room. You can choose to eat inside the restaurant or on the terrace. The terrace can become busy and you may have to wait for a table. We had booked on a half board basis. Breakfast. Plenty of choice each day. The freshly made omelettes are delicious. Evening meal. Good choice of hot food and salads. With fruit or small cakes for desert. Drinks ordered from the waiting staff during the meal is paid using your wristband. The prices of drinks are not advertised, I do believe a wine list can be requested, or prices can be found using the H10 app. Pool area is quite compact, there is an amusing pool dash each morning which we watched from the balcony. We prefer to explore the resort and nearby areas than spend all day for a pool. We did manage to find a bed by the pool each afternoon on return to the hotel. The pool bar serves drinks in plastic glasses which you need at ask for when drinking by the pool. Payment again is made using the wrist band. Pricing of drinks and food is not easy to find, we used the app. We didnt stay for the evening entertainment, so cant comment. Preferred to go to bars nearby for entertainment and cheaper prices for drinks. We made payment for the safe and drinks charged to the room on check-out. The hotel is very clean throughout, didnt encounter any unapproachable staff. Did have a slight issue with the safe during our stay, which was resolved in minutes by maintenance. The bed is so comfy, slept really well. Towels are changed daily. Reception is very helpful if you need any information regarding buses or local travel. The hotel is smaller than surrounding hotels which we preferred. It is ideally situated for bus stops, the beach, town and nearby bars.

Only stayed one night but was very impressed with the location, cleanliness and quality of food etc and the levels of service. The additional nice extra touches that came with our room were appreciated and made our stay extra special. Would highly recommend.

Excellent, friendly hotel with a tasty buffet and lovely terraces, bar, pool and dining areas. We had a lovely stay and if you book the sea view room there are beautiful views of the harbour area. Theres also a wonderful roof terrace with great views and comfortable beds there. I enjoyed the aqua aerobics class in their lovely pool. Would highly recommend this adult only hotel.
