Reviews
Amazing family hotel and holiday
Lisa F
I just wanted to leave a review after coming for a week at the beginning of August 2026. I was someone who was a little worried before coming due to some of the reviews on Tripadvisor so I'm hoping this helps someone else who has booked or thinking of booking here.
We absolutely LOVED our stay. We have a 5 year old and 8 year old. The food for both breakfast and dinner was varied, cooked well and lovely. I was concerned the food wouldn't be cooked well and wouldnt be very nice but we all loved it. So much choice, amazing breakfast selection, the pastries and doughnuts were so good. Lots of dessert options and a kids section which our kids loved, especially the ice cream station, wow!
The pools were amazing. Very clean. Obviously the areas around the loungers can get a little mucky but thats due to people walking in shoes/water, etc. There's one life guard who is a little strict and loves his whistle (the supervisor all in red) we just avoided the splash park and pirate pool when he was there as kids like to go down backwards/on their bellies etc. Other lifeguards dont mind so much and one is a lot of fun and will squirt some of the kids etc.
The sunbed situation, we didnt sit round the pirate pool so can't comment on that as my kids preferred the other pool, yes people queued from around half 9. We joined it in the morning around 9.50 and could always get 5 sunbeds. The mornings we went to the beaches, and we got to the pool lunch time we could still get 3 or more sunbeds. So really no massive issue here! If you want beds with a parasol or in the shade, queue for them, pretty simple. You could always get sunbeds at the splash park.
The hotel supermarket is fine but we used the one at the Sun Club hotel opposite to buy baguettes cheese and hams and made our lunch by the pool most days. The pizza place at the hotel does really good pizzas too!
Ok so the thing I was most worried about as its the reason we booked this hotel... the entertainment, the thing that perhaps gets slated the most on here. I can honestly say the kids daytime pool entertainment was incredible. Lots of activities, they arent strict on younger children joining in, learn the names of the children quickly. My two loved Nico and Alex especially who were absolutely brilliant with the kids (and adults). The entertainment team were on the go all day and evening. Dancing, activities such as archery and water basketball and aqua dance/gym. My youngest loved the water games especially the little boats they bring out. The kids disco in the evening was in Spanish mostly yes, but they also talk to the kids in English. My two loved the Spanish dances and loved it more as the week went on as they got to learn the moves. They are still playing the songs now at home!
Honestly if you are at all worried about this, please don't be. They are BRILLIANT!
Splash park was fab and kids loved going there daily. Seemed like a little trip out as its outside the front of the hotel. Well looked after and kids had such fun on the slides.
There are 3 lovely little cove beaches, our favourite was Cala Penya-Tallada, the closest one to the hotel. Its beautiful.
We went into Salou one night, we thought we'd do this most evenings but we preferred the beaches close by and kids preferred the disco and hotel entertainment!
The hotel rooms were cleaned daily, I think our bedding was changed 2 times during our stay and we also had a spillage one morning and we left them a note and they changed the bedding for us. Towels were changed if you left them in the bath. Floor yes wasn't spotless but they did sweep and use the mop daily, but still left our feet a little dirty before bed, so we just wore flip flops in the room. The rooms were perfectly fine and the air con works almost TOO WELL. Another thing I was worried about, as long as the door is closed and the card is in, it works. We were cold during the night
We had the best family stay here and would absolutely return.

Mediterranean Village Cap Salou 2023

What an amazing holiday the hotel was of excellent standards and the resort was lovely. Special mention to Sebastion our bar waiter for the excellent service
Cap Salou is beautiful a little hilly but you get used to it beautiful coves and beaches with beautiful La Pinaeda only a 20/25 min stroll away and the main town of Salou a 10 min bus ride. Be sure to get the multi person bus pass can’t remember what’s it’s called but 10 journeys for €10 then only €6.5 for a top up of 10 more trips
Would 100% return
