H10 Roma Città, Rome

Just came home from my first holiday abroad and stopped at the Hotel Roma Citta. The hotel was lovely, very clean and all staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast had multiple choices every morning, they also offer taxi vouchers which was extremely helpful as the centre of Rome is a bit of a walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again if visiting Rome. :)

This review covers a number of visits to the H10 Rome Citta in late 2023 and H1 2024, on business. The hotel is lovely - staff very warm and welcoming and service is very good. The restaurant services really good food, sufficiently good that for the most part my colleagues and I stayed in for the evening meals rather than venturing out. Breakfast offers a good buffet though there was some inconsistency with the availability of key items such as yoghurts. Breakfast room can get very busy when Coach Parties are setting off early morning. The 'standard rooms' are OK, but for me it was worth upgrading to get a Beverage Tray. The rooftop terrace has pool, was not open (season) during my time (nor was the rooftop bar) but there were some sy=unny weekends during my trips which allowed some sunbathing! I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Checked out yesterday, after spending 4 nights. We took the train from the airport to Trastevere (8), then walked the 10 minutes to the hotel. Check-in took 20 minutes, despite us being the only ones there.! Tourist tax is 7.50 pppn. The room was nice. Lots of storage, hairdryer, minibar, toiletries. I saw posters about the taxis to the centre for 12. We took the train from Trastevere to Termini (city centre) every day, it costs 1! The neighbourhood is fine, a lot cheaper than central Rome. Some great shops/ restaurants nearby. Hotel bar is quite expensive, we would've used it more if it was cheaper. * Someone had their phone stolen on our train to the airport, it was very, very busy & perfect for pickpockets. Thief was a small man with a cross body bag. He got off 1 stop after getting on, probably rides these busy trains all day*

We stayed here for 4 nights. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by staff. Reception staff were always very helpful and kind. They were supportive with taxi bookings and information about areas in the city. The hotel has an excellent booking facility for taxis. For 12 you can get a taxi to the centre. Nearby are buses and over the river you can get a metro direct to Colosseo. The room we stayed in was an Executive room. It was well appointed with a bath and shower and an excellent firm and comfortable bed. One thing of a slight challenge was no mirror at the table. For drying hair, straightening etc you need to do this in the bathroom which has no electric fan. The bathroom door opened in and outwards which was a handy feature. Bath robes and slippers were provided along with a variety of pillows. All very good. We only ate for breakfast. This was very good indeed. Staff will serve you coffee and there is self serve for cold meats, fruit, bread, cereals, cakes and eggs. Staff around breakfast were always happy and positive. The cleanliness at reception, in toilets and in the bar was excellent. Bar prices were reasonable for a hotel and there is a lovely outdoor area for drinks. The pool was closed as we visited when out of season, but this looked lovely. Staff are a massive strength in this hotel. The surrounding local area is excellent. We ate in three different local restaurants close to the hotel that offered great value. We were very surprised about the comments about the surrounding area from previous reviews. The surrounding area is excellent with local bars, restaurants, gelato stores and supermarkets. The "safely" concern comments from previous reviewers are totally unjustified and borderline racist in our opinion. Overall this was a great base to explore Roma. Fantastic staff, clean rooms and excellent breakfast options. Prosecco was left in our room when this coincided with my birthday. Lovely and thoughtful. Well done to all staff at H10 Roma Citta.
