Matthew from entertainment is fantastic! There was nightly games and activities near the lobby. The food is amazing as well and theres always something for everyone at the buffet. Tons of excursions nearby as well. The overall atmosphere is electric and perfect for couples and families alike!

Hotel is amazing! The amenities are excellent, the support staff is top tier, and the entertainment is unrivaled. In particular, Matthew Fernando Benitez was a throughly entertaining MC throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Our first time in Mexico and we loved it, the hotel is very comfortable and fun, there are always activities for children and adults, my daughters loved the kids club, Mili welcomed us the first time and was very attentive, and then my daughters went every day to the kids for the experiment, crafts and bowling, Thank you Mili for making Olivia and Miah very happy on the holidays.

We have just returned to normal routine after spending 2 weeks at ORP and i am finally getting around to the review. We travelled as 2 groups: 2A2C(2&5) and 3A - booked separately. When booking, we (2A2C) booked the rooftop junior suite with sea view. A month before our trip, our booking agent (Love Holidays) contacted us to say the hotel has informed them we cannot have this room due to a safety issue with the children - due to the height. After quite a bit of back and forth, we finally secured the Eden Master Suite in its place. This included all privilege services in the resort. The rest of our family booked a standard room and were offered a free upgrade from Daisy to El Beso at check in. Check in - We arrived at the hotel around 10PM. Privilege check in was smooth and easy. No one else there and therefore very quick. They explained all the privilege services to us fully and assigned out butler - Alonso. Check in for the rest of the family i cannot comment on, but they got a free upgrade so everyone was very happy. Rooms - Our Eden Master Suite was not available until day 2 of our trip so we were temporarily placed in a Privilege Master Suite. This room was above all expectations and honestly we were blown away. There is a ridiculous amount of storage to store all of your belongings whilst there. Beautiful artwork on all of the walls and a personal touch with robes, slippers and kids toiletries etc. When we moved to the Eden building, the room was the same, however it was notably under refurbishment. There was no art work, only hooks where they should be. No robes, slippers or toiletries etc. It felt like the room was half ready. We did get this sorted with our butler and it made no affect to our trip. Overall we absolutely loved the room and the space was great with a separate space for the kids to sleep. Also the view was phenomenal from the HUGE balcony! We had a large jacuzzi on the balcony but never used this. Food / Food Service - The buffet was great, huge selection and always something for everyone. Probably one of the best buffets we have experienced. However the staff are a bit ignorant and you are lucky to even get water. Oh and if you want a teaspoon.. take your own!! they are very strange about giving these out and kept giving our young children huge desert spoons for their ice-cream and were told they only use teaspoons for breakfast?! It would be nice if they had a selection of spoons with the ice cream as by the time we could get someone's attention, the ice cream was melted. Privilege lounge was our favourite place for all meals - the service and food was just a different level and was honestly AMAZING!! the upgrade is worth it just for this in our opinion! You are treated like royalty here and honestly couldn't fault it. Well, actually the only fault is just the staff are a bit pushy for reviews and will take our phone to force you to do this. The girls on the desk here were amazing and our kids loved holding their hands to the table each morning. Steakhouse - The flank steak just tasted like hamburger meat. I had the sirloin and this was nice but definitely a very different steak to what we are used to in the UK. Portions were tiny. Service was good here. Route 66 - Food was hit and miss. Burgers were bad but the CYO dishes were mostly good. Pulled pork sliders and nachos were great and we had many plates of these! However the service was bad here. We actually left halfway through the meal on one occasion as half the table were being served pudding whilst others had still not had a starter! Staff did not care and were never present. La Loconda - We went here the most for dinners as it was just phenomenal food each time. We tried the entire menu between our whole group and there's not a single item on it we could fault. Fabulous food, the chef is brilliant!! Service was good and bad depending on the waiter. One was really angry the whole time and made the dinner uncomfortable but others were friendly and helpful. Only issue is the service here is very slow! Pez Vela - Lunch here was lovely - food was great and everyone enjoyed it. However, dinner was awful. Food was stone cold and poorly cooked. Be prepared that this restaurant is open air on the beachfront, meaning it is VERY windy so wear your hair up! Ocean Burger - the snack bar was just that. Food was okay but not ideal for a quick bite as we waited over an hour for a burger! Creperie - I went once with my daughter as soon as it opened and it was great. we were in and out in 30 minutes which was ideal. However when my partner took her another day, they waited an hour and a half.. for a crepe!! Blue moon - Don't rate this at all. 1 hour waiting just for our drinks and to take our order. left during main course after asking for bread 5 times and being ignored by the waiter, whilst watching him give bread to every other table! Veg was raw and meat incredibly chewy. We did not try Sakura as although our butler booked us in for this, he didn't actually tell us until 15 minutes before and we had already eaten by then. Didn't get a chance to try the juice bar or la terraza. Overall, the food was good and we enjoyed most dishes we tried! Service - Around the resort the service is up and down and you can clearly tell they favor the Americans / Canadians as they tip A LOT. Being from the UK, tipping is out of the norm for us so we did so every now and then (when we got good service or ordered a lot for example). We ran out of money halfway through the trip and the ATM was broken so we could not tip and WOW did we receive a dip in the service! Lobby bar the staff are great and friendly., The animation team are good and there is always something going on for everyone. The staff in the bowling and the bar inside were disgraceful and we were disgusted by their attitudes. We had a blind member in our group and the bartender said we could not order her drink for her and she would need to get up and do it herself... she was sat 2 meters in front of him in an empty room! The girl at bowling was miserable and i don't think she put her phone down the entire time we were there. Half the lanes were broken at one time we visited but we always managed to get in to play with the wait being 15 minutes maximum. pool bars were good but the staff tend to favour big groups. I waited 40 minutes with my 5 year old to get her a drink whilst a hen party came over and got served first! Maids were good - our family in el beso regularly got towel arrangements on the bed! we did not, which was a bit disappointing considering our room was so costly, but not the end of the world. Overall service I'd give a 7/10 overall for the whole resort. there are some amazing ones and some who just do not care! Activities - there is something for everyone all day every day!! The evening shows are a hit and miss - our kids LOVED the Disney show! they got to take pictures with the princesses after and had a great time! The underworld show gave our 5 year old nightmares after the performers were grabbing the audience - maybe an age rating should be placed on this one as definitely not suitable for kids! Karaoke night was brilliant and the blue team are great at their jobs - full of energy and joining in to make the evenings really enjoyable. We didn't use the kids club as our youngest is too little and our eldest would not go alone, but we saw them throughout the days and was nice to see the kids in ratio's groups having fun - they were always smiling! Beach - We are NOT beach people and hate sand but we did venture down to have a look. My daughter loves it and she enjoyed the small area there is. It is a very very bad beach though so definitely avoid if you are a beach person. Pools - We mainly used the Eden, Daisy and El Beso pools. Despite being privilege, we never used this pool. It is actually just a section of beds for privilege and anyone can use the pool itself. The Eden pool has a great mix of people and is the busiest.. be prepared to be up at 6am if you want a bed here. Daisy pool was good for the kids and the slides etc were lots of fun her. Beds were easy to get and loads still available around 9am - same for the privilege and el beso. Didn't use the beach pool as again - don't like sand! Grounds - Cannot fault the hotel as it is truly beautiful and spectacular. They are constantly working to keep it in good condition and well cleaned and it was perfect. Privilege - Worth it ONLY for the food and liquor. Our butler was useless and messed up every dinner reservation and never responded to us. I had to request the basic amenities we were entitled to multiple times and we still never got them. We received turndown service twice out of 14 nights and if not for the food i would say its a waste. Overall our trip was great and everyone enjoyed themselves.

The food is exquisite!!! The staff is amazing!! Especially the entertainment teams Matthew Fernando from Canada!!! Rooms are very nice and clean, and Mikes coffee shop is reason enough to go there! Amazing place, been there 3x now and will come again.
