Good, could be great!

We recently had 2 separate 3 night breaks, either side of a family villa stay over half term, hoping for some quiet adult time!
We booked privilege h/b and were lucky enough to be allocated our requested room ( 376) which has a lovely pool and sunset view. The room was spotlessly clean with a huge comfy bed and excellent walk in shower, complimentary bottle of cava was a nice touch.
Breakfast in the Kasbah restaurant was a great and leisurely start to the day with generous plates of freshly cooked food.
The evening meals were not to our personal taste, especially the main courses which tended to have heavy sauces and limited fresh vegetables.
Having stayed in many H10 hotels we were slightly disappointed with the privilege areas. The sunbathing terrace is at the far end of the hotel with good views and nicely padded sunbeds, but in a very windy area and a long walk from the privilege lounge tricky to enjoy a refreshing drink while relaxing during the day! The lounge itself is very small and the outside space has no real outlook, also no sun during the day. The drink selection is good and in plentiful supply but not so much the snack selection- just crisps, dry pastries and fruit!
On our final day we had a late flight home and the evening before( 31/05/26) we arranged a 3pm checkout with reception, with a taxi booked for 3.15 pm. We intended to relax and have a leisurely lunch before our departure time.
Soon after midday on departure day I was phoned whilst at the pool, by a staff member insisting that we should have checked out by 12. He refused to believe what had been previously arranged and our room keys had been deactivated. We then had to visit reception, thinking the situation would be quickly resolved but unfortunately he insisted that we were in the wrong and he needed to speak to his manager, saying he would call me back in 5 minutes. No call back came, so another trip to reception only to find said staff member had gone on his break! Luckily his replacement quietly and efficiently sorted the issue but we felt it had been badly handled from the outset and meant that our final few hours tainted our overall impression of the hotel.
The hotel is in a great location but some of the public and communal areas are really showing their age and need refurbishment.
Also, were pleased to report that the majority of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful.

Great first time holiday

This was our first visit to Lanzarote and we were delighted with this hotel. We arrived to a glass of cold fizz and then had a leisurely lunch until our room was ready as we were given wristbands straight away. We did not expect our room to be ready as we were late morning arrivals and reading previous reviews cant understand why others dont just go with the flow! We had room 345 which was at the far end of the hotel with a fabulous view of the sea sand the lighthouse. It was lovely and quiet and we slept really well. I would recommend it if you dont mind a bit of a walk. The bathroom was lovely with great water pressure in the walk in shower. The room was cleaned daily to a high standard. We really enjoyed the all inclusive package and we were amazed by the range of top end spirits and mixers available. The bar staff we encountered were all lovely as were the staff in the restaurant. We liked the fact there are so many spread out sunbeds and we were able to pick great spots at any time of day. The atmosphere of the hotel is relaxing and friendly. We met several couples who had been a number of times before and we can see why. Playa Blanca is a lovely resort and we liked to walk along the promenade every day. We fully enjoyed our holiday and we fully recharged our batteries.
