H10 Timanfaya Palace, Lanzarote

Arrival / room - allocated our room very quickly and given an overview of the hotel. Room located on the 1st floor, very clean, lots of space, great king size bed, bathroom / shower brilliant. I was a little cold on the first night, asked for extra blankets which were brought to our room promptly. Room was so quiet, no noise, peaceful, over looking the pool. Food - Amazing! Breakfast, so much choice, cereals, fruits, yoghurts, pastries, cheese, meats, cooked breakfast, omelettes. There is so much choice, fresh juice, cava, smoothies, tea / coffee. Evening meal - theme nights .. Italian, Hindu etc, Mexican was our favourite again so much choice. Brilliant service, drinks served very quickly. Visited the Kasbah restaurant, yes its nice but personally I thought the main restaurant was better. Good if you want quiet table service. Sunbeds- I have never seen so many sunbeds, never had a problem anytime of the day in getting a sunbed. Clean / comfortable. Pool , yes its not heated but there is an indoor heated pool should you need it. Entertainment- plenty of activities daytime / evening if you want it, aqua fitness, darts, table tennis, quiz, live acts etc.Entertainment team very friendly. The staff are very helpful, those in the dining room work particularly hard and are always friendly. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach with some lovely bars / restaurants. Just be mindful if you have a late flight your check out is 12 midday and your band which gives access in / out and gets your drinks deactivates but we didnt find it a problem. We did notice some people having difficulty getting a meal on their last day if on half board and wanting to change dinner access for lunch because of their flight times, they were told no ? Not sure why this was but appears because they were left a snack on late first day arrival this counted as a meal? I dont think its a good idea to serve the late snacks, they were not kept cold and were very warm so not edible. The hotel has great facilities for people with disabilities, good level access, toilet facilities and a pool lift.

We recently stayed as a couple, for the first time, celebrating a special birthday. On entering the room, staff had left a bottle of bubbly and chocolates along with a birthday note which was really appreciated. We had a double superior ocean view room as booked. Room was airy and spacious and couldn't fault it. Large bathroom sockets beside the bed, and plenty of toiletries if you forgot anything....dental kit, comb, shaving kit etc. Also large bottles of shampoo conditioner and shower gel in the shower. The room was spotless. There was air conditioning also. We spent five lovely days here. We were on an all inclusive basis, and really enjoyed the branded spirits, which was my main reason for picking this hotel. Jameson, Jack Daniels etc. Staff were extremely generous with drinks. We didn't qualify for a complimentary dinner in the speciality restaurant as we only stayed 5 instead of 7 nights, which was disappointing, but we found the buffet food good, especially the chefs at the back serving delicious made to order steak, fish, omelettes etc. There was plenty of options, and a variety of food available. We ate breakfast and dinner here. For lunch, we really enjoyed the pool bar and some beautiful cocktails at the pool. The entertainment staff, in fact all staff, work really hard. I had a pedicure in their spa and it was really enjoyable. We cannot wait to return.

We have just returned home after a 14 night stay at the Timanfaya Palace. My husband and I have never returned to a hotel or holiday resort in our life however after visiting this hotel last year we knew we just had to go back as we had such an amazing time. This year was no exception. We had an amazing holiday. The General Manager Jose and his professional team certainly know how to make your holiday perfect in every way. Our room was a garden room on floor 3. Spotless, so so spacious and has every facility you need including plenty of storage and a fridge. We had perfect rest every night. We ate at the buffet and at the Kasbah and had beautiful meals which we throughly enjoyed. I noticed one review which stated the meat was poor quality. I never experienced this. We ate deliciously prepared tenderloin steak and pork in pepper sauce. My particular favourite was beef tail and pork cheek which were absolutely so tender and delicious. There is also a cooking station where fresh fish and meat is cooked to order. The, breads,salads and fruit are plentiful, fresh and varied. Breakfast has every option uou can think of. We could not fault the food. Everyday Ivan looked after us in the buffet, he was so attentive and helpful. We swam in the large outdoor pool, it was clean and sparkling. Cool, but we liked that. The gardens and pool area are large and spacious and the no lounger reservation before 9.30am rule is strictly enforced and therefore mornings were stress free, we had breakfast and walked down to the pool and never had any problems getting a lounger. It was so civilised and relaxed. Excellent bar service with well prepared drinks. Great coffee shop. Varied entertainment which we enjoyed. Our holiday at the Timafaya can only be described as perfect, we felt happy and relaxed the whole time we were there. Will we return? Yes, you bet we will return. We are already looking for dates next year. Thank you Jose, to you and your hotel team, for a perfect holiday.

The best things about this hotel were the staff, the large bedroom and balcony, the entertainment, the food, the sunbed location , well pretty much everything! The only blip was when I reported to reception some broken glass in the corridor , it was met with disinterest and later although better I still picked up more bits . I hate glass and could imagine people coming back to bedroom with bare feet after sunbathing . Im not a complaining person and we really loved our week here , will return .
