We have just had another 3 week stay at this lovely Hotel.
The main reasons we keep coming back are the fabulous location and views The friendly hardworking and helpful staff (and a big thankyou to reception for getting the room we requested )
Also a special mention to the always smiling Nerea and fab Rocio on the show cook to order section. The big clean rooms and large beds. The beautifully kept grounds and heated swimming pool. The Blue team with a special mention to the energy from Matea. She's a real star
Other comments: We have found the food can be a little hit and miss in the restaurant downstsirs in the Kasbah. Some very strange combinations such as sole in pea soup. The buffet is of a good standard and have had a lot worse at a 5 star hotel in PDC. We like the new display cabinets but the team have to work hard to keep the smaller display dishes topped up at busy times.
I would like to see the hotel do more to encourage guests to use the hand gel on entering the buffet. Lots of people handing the same serving spoons, and squishing rolls/cutting bread (not using a napkin) is a perfect way to spead any nasty pathogens! Sorry José I cant get away from a career in food technology.
Most annoying things are the small coffee cups l and the additional charge to hire a safe .
Overall no where is perfect and despite its few idiosyncrasies, like the ageing lifts which will probably need some capital expenditure in the near future, all is good.
We hope to keep returning evey year as long as we can as it is still by far the best Adults only hotel in Playa Blanca.

Not sure that many people write a review BEFORE their visit but I wanted to share my appreciation to Javier and Elena for their prompt and professional response to my questions relating to our room preferences and for helping to organise a meal on my wifes birthday. I hope that I get the chance to thank them personally and we are really looking forward to our stay next week.

Perfect half-term break

This was our first time at the Timanfaya, and we shall definitely be back. We had absolutely no complaints about anything, even the weather was spectacular.
Lots of reviews on here go into specific positives and negatives, but for a short, half term all-inclusive break away from children, we left the Timanfaya feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. See you next February!

Rooms very comfortable, bed extremely comfy. Good value. We upgraded to get sunny balcony.
