H10 Timanfaya Palace, Lanzarote

Amazing hotel in an amazing location. Highly recommended.

We frequently stay at H10 hotels, so we like to compare the different H10 resorts we stay at. This is our first time at a H10 hotel in Lanzarote and we werent disappointed. Being an adults only hotel was a bonus. Were on day 7 of our 8 night stay. Hotel A beautiful and large hotel. You will recognise it immediately when you see it from a distance. It has an amazing energy. It's well laid out and everything is easy to find. Location The hotel is right on the sea front in the quieter part of Playa Blanca. The light house is about a 45-minute walk, and the Rubicon Marina, which is the busier part, is about the same in the other direction. Theres a few bars towards the lighthouse, but the main bars and shops are on the way to the Marina. Flamingo beach is a few minutes walk away and is full of golden sand. Theres a few rocky areas outside of the hotel with steps down to the sea. Staff All of the staff are absolutely amazing, friendly, and so helpful. A big thank you to Jose in the Kasbah restaurant who had just started working there and was amazing. Room The room was amazing and spacious. It was room 355 and a corner junior suite. We had 2 balconys and a 180-degree view of the sea. The bathroom was spacious with space for his and hers items. There was plenty of storage space with his and hers wardrobes. The shower was always hot with plenty of pressure. The room was tidied and the bed made every day with lovely Lindt chocolates left on the pillow. The coffee pods were replaced every day. I left them a note saying I wanted decaffeinated pods and this is what they left every day. Thank you for this. Privilege We booked Privilege as we always do in the H10 hotels as, although were not big drinkers, we like to have a tipple when we want. The Privilege lounge was lovely with a friendly ambiance. There was plenty of drinks with everything you could choose from and plenty of snacks. The privilege sun lounger area was quiet with plenty of beds and there was a bar there, but you had to pay for drinks. It would be even better if you could have free drinks in there like other H10 hotels, and also proper parasols, it just had those coconut / wicker shades which you could not move to protect yourself from the sun. Pool The outdoor pool temperature was perfect for me as I do ice baths, but I didnt see many people using it throughout they stay. There is a heated indoor pool which was warm. Gardens The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. Theres several cats who live there and I meditated with them every morning Restaurant La Bocaina A great buffet restaurant and again the staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of choice of food for both breakfast and dinner, but the thing which could have been better was a better choice of mains for vegetarians. We are both vegetarian so some nights we did struggle a little to have a meal if, that was more than vegetables or pizza, It would be even better if you put on mains like vegetable lasagnes and curries like you do in the Kasbah restaurant. It opened at 8:00 so some mornings we couldnt go as we had early trips booked. Restaurant Kasbah A beautiful restaurant that we used as part of our Half Board booking. The food was beautiful and we highly recommend eating here. As mentioned previously, a big shout out to Jose. When I asked for vegetarian sausages for breakfast, they didnt have any, but they got some for the next day. Thank you. Entertainment Theres a separate area for the entertainment. We went in a couple of times and it was great. We love a game bingo. Gym There was plenty of weights equipment and it wasnt too busy. What would have been better if it opened earlier like other H10 hotels weve stayed at. It opened at 8:00 on a morning whereas some other H10 hotels I stayed at it opened at 07:00. I'm and earlier riser and like to get to the gym while I wait for the wife to wake up. Spa We havent had our treatments yet but we expect them to be as good as the other H10 hotels where we have stayed. Overall, it is definitely worth a visit. We will return at some point, and I can see why it has so many return visits. The suggestions I have made are for me and not a criticism of the hotel.

A beautiful hotel to visit

Absolutely loved this hotel from the moment myself and my mother stepped inside we were greeted with smiles and complimentary prosecco a lovely touch. From the dining room staff right through to bar, housekeeping,reception and massage therapists every staff member was polite and helpful. Attention to detail is very much shown here, the hotel is spotless, pools (of which there are many) are very well maintained as are the areas around it. We will definitely be back again, an absolute pleasure of a holiday . Well done everyone!

Fantastic hotel

This is our favourite hotel in the Canaries. We were All inclusive and it was definitely worth it. Breakfast is brilliant with almost everything you could possible want. We like the Buffet for dinner and again a vast choice is on offer. The entertainment team , Mattea , Filipe and Eleanora were great fun. They worked so hard to please everyone. The cocktail and Mojo sauce making, at lunchtime was great. It was a laugh. The hotel is well run and staff all friendly and obliging. We will return again soon.
