H10 Timanfaya Palace, Lanzarote

This is a fantastic hotel set in a beautiful location. The lovely Lanzarote breeze makes it perfect to enjoy the sunshine in a blissful setting. The staff are fantastic and offer high quality service. The food and drink choices are extensive, with top quality brands! Can highly rate the Kasbah restaurant and the breakfast option for Privilege guests is first class. The hotel is very well run and it was a lovely gesture that both the Hotel manager and his deputy attend the welcome meetings for guests, something Ive not experienced before, a lovely touch! Outstanding service at all levels but a special thank you to Paula and the Kasbah team and Sergio and Sofia! Great entertainment, loved the live music in the hotel lobby and wonderful to see the lovely hotel cats and to see how well they are cared for. In summary a fantastic hotel in every way, one which I will certainly be visiting again.

Booking directly through H10 got us a hugely discounted Superior room with sea view (Rooms around the 350s) These rooms are excellently set out, with two two thirds double beds, huge comfy armchair, a good sized bathroom with walk-in shower, a balcony with reclining chairs, and a welcoming bottle of cava and chocolates. Heres the downside if you want these rooms. Theyre the furthest from reception and the lifts (theres more about halfway too), resulting in a long walk for pools, bars and restaurants. Though access to the pools and loungers can be made down three flights of stairs at the end of the floor. The walk certainly helps burns off the calories, but if youre not that fit or mobile it might be worth thinking about before booking! Continuing with mobility, there are marbled stairs everywhere, but access to all floors and amenities are supported by lifts. Around the reception, bars and pools there are ramps and the main pool has a hoist. The All Inclusive experience was good to excellent: in the main restaurant - a huge variety of breakfast menus including freshly cooked-to-order omelettes, a reduced range of choices for lunch, and themed nights backed by more generalised food for everybodys tastes. Bottles of wine, beers etc. can be ordered to complement the meals. Men - long trousers are THE rule for dinner. A pain having to walk all the way along to change to after-dinner shorts! The Pool Bar offers a good choice of lunches but they are big servings from the sandwiches and burgers, to salads and pizzas. Theres a coffee shop offering a wide range of afternoon coffee and teas with muffins, cakes etc. Alcohol: The selection is vast, with some premium hand I mean premium) brands: dont order Smirnoff when theres Grey Goose for example. The drinks list and cocktails are listed on the H10 App, or by accessing the QR codes around the bars. The a la carte Kasbah offers a complimentary dinner per week (we enjoyed two), and the menu choice is good with first class service. Evening live shows are from the ok to good, depending on your tastes. Drinks are served at your seats. Staff are welcoming, friendly and nothing appears to be too much trouble for them - always a smile and hola The location at Playa Blanca is quiet, but offers daily activities, the promenade walk to limited shops is ten minutes, the pools are ice cold (you adapt after a while in the water). Taxis to the centre are requested at reception and are around 5. Personally upgrading to Premium gets you a secluded sunbathing area and deck, maybe more premium drinks but not really much more. Theres enough sun loungers spread throughout the grounds and these staff WILL remove towels and personal items from any that are reserved. Wait until 9.30 if youre one of those, to avoid the embarrassment at reception. I wont book again - too many places Ive yet to see - but if you want reasonable luxury, no children, a quiet location, Timanfaya Palace is worth a look.

We have been to this four-star hotel several times now and continue to be impressed with the service we receive to make our holiday special. The hotel has impressive views, is very clean and has something for everyone. We use the all-inclusive option which means we pay for very little on site. It has 2 lovely outdoor pools as well as a jacuzzi and there is a pool bar which provides food and drinks throughout the day. When it comes to cuisine and dining, there is a lovely restaurant with a wide range of food available with special country themed menus each evening as well as an a la carte restaurant for more discerning diners and for those who wish for something a little more special. Each day a full programme of entertainment is organised and led by the wonderful Animations Team - something for all tastes and interests. The evening entertainment is particularly excellent, with a choice of bar entertainment (my favourite is Maximo the guitarist) or evening shows preceded by a short quiz. What is outstanding about this hotel is that all of the staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful and all rooms are kept clean and tidy at all times. Management is evident throughout the day if you have any issues to discuss (thank you Joel) and the reception are especially helpful. There are many places to visit near the hotel, and if you go out of the back gate and for a short walk along the promenade you will find yourselves at a small but lovely beach with a store and some bars for food and drink. Another easy walk and a little further takes you to Porta Blanca and Playa Blanca. However, if you dont want to walk, reception will call you a cab. We thoroughly enjoyed our stays here and highly recommend this adult only hotel.

Beautiful place and a very beautiful hotel. Quiet, although near the boulevard.Lovely personel. Good food. Great swimmingpool: cold and warm water. Good entertainement. Many sunbeds. We go there also in februari, oktober and december.
