H10 Timanfaya Hotel Playa Blanca

We stayed at the H10 Timanfaya Palace Hotel when we arrived we were upgraded to a superior room which was lovely but a little tired in some areas although it was very clean the location is excellent for us you can walk to the lighthouse or the other way into Playa Blanca both great walks if youre fit. The hotel has different activities going on but you dont need to join in and the evening entertainment is great we stay upstairs in the piano bar listening to various artists people dancing to the guitarist was brilliant the only downside I would say is the food this was are 3rd time staying at the hotel I dont think the theme nights are up to much but it wouldnt stop us from going again what makes this hotel so good are the staff they are amazing incredible fantastic they all go above and beyond to make your stay a fabulous one not just the bar and restaurant staff but all the ancillary staff who keep the hotel running

The staff's attitude is a credit to the hotel

We were recommended this hotel by some friends and I'm pleased to say it lived up to expectations.
Spotlessly clean with friendly, attentive staff. Some in particular had a great sense of humour (Angel and the newly appointed Mohamed were very good examples).
Unlike some hotels, the sunbed policy (no reserving sunbeds before 9.30) is actually enforced. You can sit on your sunbed as early as you want but don't reserve them before 9.30
There was one minor issue but I have contacted the hotel directly to report this as I'm sure it can be dealt with quickly and without fuss
There is little I can add to the positive reviews other than to increase the 5 star / excellent ratings

A great week

Really enjoyed our week here, lovely big room, over looking the pool.
Like most people,we arrived in the morning and had to wait for our room. We chose to wait in the bar by the pool and we were able to access our room just after 2pm.
LOVELY BIG bed, room cleaned daily, fresh towels as and when needed.
We did all inclusive and enjoyed the al a carte during our stay, which was fantastic.
Loved the cocktails and the coffee shop.
Food in the main buffet resturant was good in particular the cooking stations at the back.
We had a few issues while here but the staff and TUI reps couldnt do enough for us, they had things sorted within minutes, no request was to much trouble.
We loved the bar by reception and the bar by the pool. Great vibes at both, with music and dancing.
Very generous with the spirits and they never once left you waiting for a drink, not once.
The best thing about this hotel? The staff!
Every single one of them, the bar staff of an evening were an absolute pleasure.
they had already been in the pool bar working and transfered to the main bar of an evening.
They loved a dance and chat, i can see why people keep going back.
A very grown up, quiet hotel which we would return to.

Nice hotel but improvements needed

Me and my boyfriend have just returned from a weeks trip and found it very relaxing and mostly enjoyable with just a few improvements I could suggest.
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could need. The pools are lovely and the grounds are huge with lots of space to relax. Most of the guests are older (60+) which didn’t matter to us but may be considered if younger guests are wanting somewhere a little livelier. We had a ground floor room which was so lovely and a great location. The room itself was perfect and super quiet at night.
The food we found not to be amazing. It’s hard for the same chef to pull off different cuisines every night perfectly so we found most nights the food was underwhelming. We did also notice that usually the leftovers from the night before were used in a lot of the dishes the next day. Breakfast was good and the female chef who cooked the pancakes every morning was so lovely. It would be great if a vegetarian meat option would be available at breakfast as a non pork eater myself, I did struggle in that department. However there are many restaurants in playa Blanca that are much better than the evening buffet if you fancy a trip out.
We loved the activities during the day however for a younger audience, the evening entertainment was more focused for older adults and we found it quite hit or miss.
Most of the staff were absolutely lovely and more than happy to help however on two occasions we found some staff members to be less accommodating.
On one of the days we were there I had an injury that I thought the hotel first aid could have a look at. It was just a bad graze, I did not need to go to hospital but it definitely needed cleaning up and dressing as there was a lot of blood and me and my boyfriend are not medically trained. I told the front desk and the man on reception came over with two tiny plasters and a used bottle of sterile water. He then told my boyfriend he had to deal alone with it as the man on reception couldn’t (not sure why).
This was the only help we received which was worrying as I assumed they would have some staff who were first aiders. Also with the older clientele, I would hate for someone elderly to have an injury like mine and be left with almost no help like we were. Thankfully we went to a pharmacy which were much more helpful but we did end up spending €30+ euros on supplies to clean up my wound.
On another occasion I went to the pool bar to ask for a mock tail. I asked a young girl behind the bar for it and she laughed in my face and sighed as if it was too much of an order for her to make me and then started laughing about it to the other workers behind the bar. It did make me feel quite uncomfortable and like I’d done something wrong by asking for the drink. I would hope other people would get better customer service than this.
They are my only negative points and for a weeks stay they didn’t put a damper on the fab time we had in lanzarote. I’m not sure we would return but purely due to the fact we like to travel around.
