H10 Timanfaya Palace, Lanzarote

We have now visited for 3 years and the wonderful service is still there great view from our balcony and selection of food is wonderful we looked forward to the daily entertainment both during the day and in the evening thank you for another wonderful stay we look forward to returning next year

Just got back from our 4th visit to this wonderful hotel ideally situated with a leisurely walk into Playa Blanca shops and a further 20 mins to Rubicon Marina well worth a visit for the wed or Saturday Market . If you don't fancy walking a Taxi works out around 6euro each way. As for the hotel,the staff makes the difference to other hotels such welcoming people nothing is too much trouble a credit to Jose and all the various departments too many to mention. We had a problem with the water not heating up when we arrived this was sorted by the time we got back from the evening entertainment . We were on the 4th floor where a number of rooms were in the process of been refurbished slightly noisy but we are not one for sitting in all day so not an issue as we totally understand that room updates have to be done and very difficult when you are open 365days of the year. Just booked again for next year all the very best to Jose and all your staff fir Xmas and the new year Richard and Chris

A most enjoyable week at this lovely hotel. We arrived quite late (11pm) along with several others off the coach transfer from the Airport. I left hubby to collect our cases off the coach, while I was one of the first to the reception where he joined me. A great tip I had heard from previous travellers, as with only 2 receptionists there was quite a wait due to the amount of people checking in. We all enjoyed a glass of cava anyway so that was a good start to our holiday. In the reception area there was always access to water to refill your bottles, and iced water with lemons/oranges to drink as and when, plus sweets to help yourself to. Our room was 171 on the ground floor, though ideally, we would have preferred a room on a higher floor, it was convenient for the swimming pools. We had a sea/pool view towards the lighthouse. It was very quiet. A large spacious room, and the most amazing huge beds with lots of plump pillows. Air con available and a nice big ceiling fan which we preferred. Big balcony with hanging space for Pool towels etc. The room had a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. A TV. Plenty of storage including a wardrobe with hangers. The lighting was good and lots of plug sockets. The dressing table had no mirror, but I always take my own small mirror anyway. There is a safe that you get a key from reception that cost 2.43 Euros per day. Nice big bathroom with walk in shower and plenty of places to put things. We had an issue with low water pressure with the shower on our first day, but a quick mention at reception and it was sorted straight away. All the staff do their best to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. We were not sure about wearing a wristband with an electronic chip for the whole week, but it is an ingenious idea because this is your room key and you are able to use it for drinks etc to charge to your room. It is waterproof too. No need to carry a purse or wallet. The swimming pools are not heated, but when it is very warm and sunny and you need a refreshing dip, its not a problem. I believe there is an indoor heated pool but we didnt use it. Theres a steam room (Turkish bath) and sauna and a gym. Various beauty treatments were available (at an extra cost) and I enjoyed a manicure and pedicure. The entertainment staff were fun and there was a schedule of events throughout the day. We did not see any Aqua aerobics, but Im guessing it was due to lack of interest from hotel guests. Hubby played table tennis with one of the entertainment staff, again no-one seemed interested in that. However, the aloe vera, sangria and cocktail demos seemed very popular. Evenings there was a musician (pianist/guitarist etc) in the bar, then there was bingo, a quiz etc, and often there was black jack which seemed popular. The main entertainment was often very good and our favourite during our stay was Gentlemen on the Road." The restaurant was buffet style, and during our Welcome meeting the General Manager apologised in advance for food not being as hot as expected. Hence the 4 stars! With buffets this can often be the case so a microwave is provided. However, most of the time the food was fine, some choice (limited) for vegetarians, though loads of salad and fruit available. No-one went hungry thats for sure. The sea and the Paseo Maritimo (Promenade) is immediately behind the hotel, with easy access and it is an easy couple of miles walk to the lighthouse, and in the other direction Flamingo Beach with its bars and cafes and lovely beach are minutes away. There is also a lovely walk up Montana Roja a local extinct volcano which approximately 30 minutes walk from the hotel, although ensure you walk the safe way up, which starts by a mobile phone mast. The walk up the volcano is strenuous initially but gets easier and is well worth it, with breathtaking views from the top of the crater, which you can also walk around before making the descent back down the volcano. The port is approx. 15-20 mins walk, where you can catch a ferry to Fuertaventura , and just beyond the port are the main Blaya Blanca bars, restaurants and shops.

We have holidayed at this hotel regularly over the past 25 years. It is so good we just keep coming back! The rooms, the food, the faciluies, the ambience, the staff, everything is excellent. The position is brilliant with fantastic sea views, adjacent to the coastal walk and 5 minutes walk to Playa Flamingo a beautiful beach. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops and shops nearby. Short walk along the coastal path to the centre of Playa Blanca. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for an excellent holiday.
