HOTEL REVIEW: H10 Lanzarote Princess, Playa Blanca
I just got back from a brilliant stay at this property, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! From the moment you walk into the bright, beautiful lobby, you can feel the quality and the warm welcome straight away.
If you are looking for a relaxing, uncrowded, and perfectly located getaway in Lanzarote, here is my honest takeaway from my time there:
The Rooms: We stayed in a Superior Pool View room on the 3rd floor. Even though it overlooked the childrens pool, it was incredibly quiet and offered lovely sea views. It comes well-equipped with a fridge, a great bathroom, a hairdryer, and plenty of quality toiletries. Housekeeping was immaculate daily. Inside tip: We had a minor issue with a running toilet; I called reception and maintenance was up to fix it within minutes. Top-tier service!
The "Smart" Wristbands: The hotel is completely cashless. Your room key is a wristband that also gets scanned for any drinks or extras, which you just settle at the end of your stay. No worrying about carrying cards or cash to the pool!
Food & Flexibility: We booked Half Board, but because we love exploring local restaurants for dinner, we took advantage of the hotel's flexibility and swapped our evening meals for lunch instead. Breakfast (even at peak time between 910 AM) and lunch always had a great, hot selection.
The Pool Area (And a strict insider tip!): The layout here is fantastic because its incredibly spaciousno feeling like you are climbing over people! There are no sunbeds directly on the poolside, which keeps the whole vibe relaxed.
INSIDER WARNING: The hotel strictly enforces a "no reserving" policy. My husband and I popped out for 20 minutes before 10 AM to grab coffees, and came back to find our towels had been cleared by the staff! It keeps things fair for everyone, but definitely don't leave your beds unattended early in the morning!
Bonus: The pool bar has a cold water station to refill your personal bottles all day.
Location, Location, Location: This is the main reason we chose it. It sits perfectly in the middle of Playa Blanca, meaning you can walk easily in one direction to the town, or the other way to the stunning Marina. Plus, you are literally just across the road from the beautiful Playa Dorada beach.
Entertainment: Hosted outside for the summer months, the evening acts looked and sounded like great, high-quality talent from what we could see from our balcony.
My Verdict:
Would I stay here again? 100%though Id personally choose Bed & Breakfast next time just because we love eating out in the evenings. Its a peaceful, spacious, and genuinely lovely hotel that isn't rowdy at all. It is a fantastic choice for both couples and families alike and will definitely be recommending this hotel to my clients for their Playa Blanca holidays.

Very good but some improvements and kitchen staff training required

Overall: We would definitely come back!
We had a great holiday and would happily stay here again. Overall, the hotel has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, an unbeatable location and friendly staff. There are just a few areas that could be improved.
Location
You honestly couldnt ask for a better location. From the pool area theres a back gate that takes you straight onto the beach and within seconds youre at the main bars, restaurants and shops in Playa Blanca. It really is one of the hotels biggest selling points.
Atmosphere
Overall, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The hotel isnt huge, so it never feels overcrowded or noisy.
One thing we really appreciated was that breakfast is served until 10:30am. It means you can actually enjoy a lie-in without feeling like youve missed out. No matter what time we came down, there was always plenty of fresh food and, more importantly, there were always sun loungers available around the pool.
Andrea from the animation team deserves a special mention. She was incredibly positive and brought a fun, welcoming atmosphere to the pool without it ever feeling over the top.
The housekeeping staff were also lovely. They always smiled, said hello and were genuinely friendly throughout our stay.
The only area that took away from the relaxed atmosphere was the buffet restaurant. While the food itself was good, the dining experience often felt quite chaotic.
Unfortunately, one member of staff repeatedly pushed a large food trolley through crowded walkways without warning, often knocking into guests. On one occasion, while I was serving myself at the buffet, she pushed the trolley behind me and into my back, trapping me between the buffet counter and the trolley. Instead of asking politely to get past, she repeatedly nudged me with the hot food trays she was carrying, despite me saying excuse me twice and clearly having nowhere to move. I eventually had to move the trolley myself to get out. It was a very strange and unnecessarily aggressive interaction, and throughout the holiday I noticed similar behaviour from the same staff member. I also overheard other guests commenting on it. Whether this is due to pressure or poor management, I think better safety and customer service training would really help, as having large trolleys moving through busy buffet areas could easily result in someone, especially a child, getting hurt.
I also noticed several hygiene issues from guests rather than staff. I saw adults and children picking up buffet food with their hands, using the same tongs across different dishes, and on one occasion a guest sneezed directly over the food. While this isnt the hotels fault, some polite hygiene reminder signs around the buffet could help encourage better practices.
Room
Id seen YouTube reviews saying the rooms were small, but honestly I thought they were perfectly normal for a hotel room. We hadnt paid extra for a sea view but were lucky enough to get one anyway.
The room came with lots of useful extras including conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shower caps and a comb, which was a nice touch.
Housekeeping was excellent. Every day we returned to fresh towels, clean sheets, spotless floors and clean surfaces.
When our safe developed a technical fault it was fixed almost immediately.
The only small thing I didnt like was that the bathrooms contain used toilet brushes. I know theyre practical, but personally I prefer hotels not to have them visible as you like the room to feel completely fresh for each new guest.
Pool Area
The pool area was immaculate every single day.
There were always plenty of sun loungers available, fresh towels were easy to collect and the heated pool at the back was lovely.
The pool toilets deserve a special mention as they were genuinely the cleanest hotel pool toilets Ive ever seen. Every time I visited they were spotless.
There are also plenty of activities available including free mini golf, table tennis, pool and outdoor chess.
The direct access gate from the pool to the beach and promenade is another huge bonus.
Gym
The gym is a good size and has a varied range of equipment.
The only improvement Id suggest is giving it a proper deep clean. There is quite a bit of rust and dirt on some equipment. Every time I wiped down the benches and mats before using them, the paper towels came away brown, so I think the gym could definitely benefit from more thorough cleaning.
Reception & Hotel Interior
The hotel itself is modern, stylish and very clean.
Theres a small shop inside, a nice indoor bar and the whole reception area gives a great first impression.
Dining
We stayed half board and were able to swap dinner for lunch one day, which was a nice option.
Breakfast had a great variety and there was something for everyone. They even make fresh chocolate churros, so its difficult to complain!
Dinner also offered a good selection of food.
The biggest downside was drinks. Ordering them often took quite a while and even basic water wasnt included with dinner unless purchased, which felt disappointing. Whether youre half board or all inclusive, getting a drink often required waiting for table service, and it could easily take 1015 minutes. It actually became one of the biggest frustrations of the holiday. We genuinely left feeling more dehydrated than we should have because getting a drink always seemed like such an effort. Improving drink availability would make a huge difference to the overall experience.
Entertainment
The entertainment was good for a four-star hotel, with activities and shows for both adults and children, both indoors and outdoors.
Overall
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return.
The location is outstanding, the hotel is clean, the atmosphere is relaxed and 99% of the staff are welcoming and friendly. Being able to sleep in, still enjoy breakfast until 10:30am and always find available sun loungers made for a genuinely stress-free holiday.
The main improvements Id suggest are making drinks and water more accessible, improving cleanliness in the gym, and making the buffet area feel safer and less chaotic.
Despite those points, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily book this hotel again.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in

I booked a 10 day trip here for my husband's 50th birthday. From the moment I booked, the hotel and reception staff couldn't have been more helpful. They helped with balloons, cake etc in the room I requested a sunny balcony which they delivered on. I booked the Privilege package which for us was the icing on the cake, being able to go into the privilege bar and sit and chat (especially when the weather wasn't as nice) make our own drinks (all top brand names which again we loved) and coffee, snacks etc was fantastic as it also meant we were away from children (not that there was many children while we were there but we were on a child free holiday after all).
The hotel itself is in a superb location right in the centre of everything it was spotless clean throughout and our room was made up everyday and water delivered to us every evening and the cleaning staff were always super friendly and helpful. We loved our room it was big and spacious with a super king bed (not two single bed s pushed together like usual) the only negatives I have on the room are 1. the bathroom was a tad small so my husband in particular found it a bit awkward getting in and out of the shower and 2. two of the legs of our bed were starting to bend so maybe check all the beds to make sure they don't need fixing/replacing. The noise level in the hotel was also really good you had a couple of usual noises if your sliding door was open but unlike the hotel we stayed in the previous week this hotel was really nice and relaxed.
The pool area was really nice and spacious we didn't feel on top of one another at all the girl in the pool bar was so so nice always a smile and so helpful on our first day. My only negative or comment really around the pool is regarding the "heated" pool although it is covered and I love the area where it is situated it was definitely not heated in fact I found the main pool to be the same temperature if not slightly warmer so I am not sure if there was something broken or if it's not heated but shouldn't be advertised as a "heated" pool if the water is freezing.
I am a gym goer and like to keep up somewhat of a routine while I am away the gym here was one of the better ones I have seen in a hotel it had everything you would want or need for a good workout (including a Smith machine) and was open really good hours so whether you like early morning or later evening you could go.
Last but not least the food :-) We went all inclusive as we found the price difference between that and half-board wasn't too much and even though we like to go out to eat in the evening we still thought it was worth it and to say I am glad I did is an understatement. The food was honestly unreal the flavours, the choice, the fresh meat counter cooked to order, everything at every meal was super and hats off to the chefs I don't' know how they do it and always with a smile on their face . I have read previous reviews saying the food wasn't great I don't know if they are just fussy eaters but I am confused how anyone could not like what was on offer in this hotel (I suppose you can't please everyone).
What I also loved about the restaurant was the fact that you sat down and were served your drinks by a waiter so you felt like you were out even at dinner time the atmosphere and the layout was so nice we ended up staying in the hotel for dinner every night in the end. We also booked the Teppanyaki specialised restaurant one of the evenings and to say I was pleasantly surprised at how good that was too as any hotel I've previously stayed in that had the specialised restaurants weren't great but this again felt like we were going out on to a restaurant the chefs and waiting staff were all amazing and they made it a great night. The bar staff were great too and I sampled a lot of the cocktails on offer and they didn't disappoint. I also loved the fact you had live music in the bar area and you didn't have to go into the cabaret/show area for some entertainment.
I hope I have covered everything but in short this is honestly one of the best hotels I have stayed in for location, price, quality it had everything and I will definitely be booking again for our holiday next year.
