Lovely Relaxed Stay

ViksEll

HOTEL REVIEW: H10 Lanzarote Princess, Playa Blanca I just got back from a brilliant stay at this property, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! From the moment you walk into the bright, beautiful lobby, you can feel the quality and the warm welcome straight away. If you are looking for a relaxing, uncrowded, and perfectly located getaway in Lanzarote, here is my honest takeaway from my time there: The Rooms: We stayed in a Superior Pool View room on the 3rd floor. Even though it overlooked the childrens pool, it was incredibly quiet and offered lovely sea views. It comes well-equipped with a fridge, a great bathroom, a hairdryer, and plenty of quality toiletries. Housekeeping was immaculate daily. Inside tip: We had a minor issue with a running toilet; I called reception and maintenance was up to fix it within minutes. Top-tier service! The "Smart" Wristbands: The hotel is completely cashless. Your room key is a wristband that also gets scanned for any drinks or extras, which you just settle at the end of your stay. No worrying about carrying cards or cash to the pool! Food & Flexibility: We booked Half Board, but because we love exploring local restaurants for dinner, we took advantage of the hotel's flexibility and swapped our evening meals for lunch instead. Breakfast (even at peak time between 910 AM) and lunch always had a great, hot selection. The Pool Area (And a strict insider tip!): The layout here is fantastic because its incredibly spaciousno feeling like you are climbing over people! There are no sunbeds directly on the poolside, which keeps the whole vibe relaxed. INSIDER WARNING: The hotel strictly enforces a "no reserving" policy. My husband and I popped out for 20 minutes before 10 AM to grab coffees, and came back to find our towels had been cleared by the staff! It keeps things fair for everyone, but definitely don't leave your beds unattended early in the morning! Bonus: The pool bar has a cold water station to refill your personal bottles all day. Location, Location, Location: This is the main reason we chose it. It sits perfectly in the middle of Playa Blanca, meaning you can walk easily in one direction to the town, or the other way to the stunning Marina. Plus, you are literally just across the road from the beautiful Playa Dorada beach. Entertainment: Hosted outside for the summer months, the evening acts looked and sounded like great, high-quality talent from what we could see from our balcony. My Verdict: Would I stay here again? 100%though Id personally choose Bed & Breakfast next time just because we love eating out in the evenings. Its a peaceful, spacious, and genuinely lovely hotel that isn't rowdy at all. It is a fantastic choice for both couples and families alike and will definitely be recommending this hotel to my clients for their Playa Blanca holidays. #HolidayInspo #TravelInspiration

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in

Inspire39709861180

I booked a 10 day trip here for my husband's 50th birthday. From the moment I booked, the hotel and reception staff couldn't have been more helpful. They helped with balloons, cake etc in the room I requested a sunny balcony which they delivered on. I booked the Privilege package which for us was the icing on the cake, being able to go into the privilege bar and sit and chat (especially when the weather wasn't as nice) make our own drinks (all top brand names which again we loved) and coffee, snacks etc was fantastic as it also meant we were away from children (not that there was many children while we were there but we were on a child free holiday after all). The hotel itself is in a superb location right in the centre of everything it was spotless clean throughout and our room was made up everyday and water delivered to us every evening and the cleaning staff were always super friendly and helpful. We loved our room it was big and spacious with a super king bed (not two single bed s pushed together like usual) the only negatives I have on the room are 1. the bathroom was a tad small so my husband in particular found it a bit awkward getting in and out of the shower and 2. two of the legs of our bed were starting to bend so maybe check all the beds to make sure they don't need fixing/replacing. The noise level in the hotel was also really good you had a couple of usual noises if your sliding door was open but unlike the hotel we stayed in the previous week this hotel was really nice and relaxed. The pool area was really nice and spacious we didn't feel on top of one another at all the girl in the pool bar was so so nice always a smile and so helpful on our first day. My only negative or comment really around the pool is regarding the "heated" pool although it is covered and I love the area where it is situated it was definitely not heated in fact I found the main pool to be the same temperature if not slightly warmer so I am not sure if there was something broken or if it's not heated but shouldn't be advertised as a "heated" pool if the water is freezing. I am a gym goer and like to keep up somewhat of a routine while I am away the gym here was one of the better ones I have seen in a hotel it had everything you would want or need for a good workout (including a Smith machine) and was open really good hours so whether you like early morning or later evening you could go. Last but not least the food :-) We went all inclusive as we found the price difference between that and half-board wasn't too much and even though we like to go out to eat in the evening we still thought it was worth it and to say I am glad I did is an understatement. The food was honestly unreal the flavours, the choice, the fresh meat counter cooked to order, everything at every meal was super and hats off to the chefs I don't' know how they do it and always with a smile on their face . I have read previous reviews saying the food wasn't great I don't know if they are just fussy eaters but I am confused how anyone could not like what was on offer in this hotel (I suppose you can't please everyone). What I also loved about the restaurant was the fact that you sat down and were served your drinks by a waiter so you felt like you were out even at dinner time the atmosphere and the layout was so nice we ended up staying in the hotel for dinner every night in the end. We also booked the Teppanyaki specialised restaurant one of the evenings and to say I was pleasantly surprised at how good that was too as any hotel I've previously stayed in that had the specialised restaurants weren't great but this again felt like we were going out on to a restaurant the chefs and waiting staff were all amazing and they made it a great night. The bar staff were great too and I sampled a lot of the cocktails on offer and they didn't disappoint. I also loved the fact you had live music in the bar area and you didn't have to go into the cabaret/show area for some entertainment. I hope I have covered everything but in short this is honestly one of the best hotels I have stayed in for location, price, quality it had everything and I will definitely be booking again for our holiday next year.

Family holiday Spanish style! ??

Still here having a lovely holiday……. Start with the positives as I was uncertain after reading the bad reviews. Hotel nice, clean pool area, lobby, bars etc. Pool suitable for family’s with a kids area, plenty of sun beds, drinks bar, ground generally kept clean and tidy. Staff continually working keeping it clean. Our family room was lovely on the quiet side of hotel. Maid service each day was to a high standard. Kids entertainment good and staff brilliant with the children. All staff were friendly and helpful, they work very hard at looking after the guest. Drink selection good, plenty to choose from. Good selection for breakfast lunch and dinner. It is limited to some point but what is on offer is fresh and tasty. The salads are very nice. Oh the coffee shop does gorgeous drinks for adults and kids. The Italian is very good for food, we didn’t eat in the Japanese but heard it was good. The not so good points……. The staff are limited which means at meal times some food wasn’t stocked up as quickly as it should have been, tables weren’t cleared quick enough for the amount of guests which meant sitting outside wasn’t much of an option due to tables not being cleared. Having to que for the fresh grill area was a pain, but worth it. This is nothing to do with the staff as they are excellent they just need more staff! The restaurant can be hectic at busy times, we chose to eat at the quieter times so not a problem. They need more parasols as it is a family hotel so they need to provide shade for the families with young kids. Table service should really be offered for the outside entertainment area, would give an extra touch. The cactus bar only has one person serving which makes it slow, it also gets messy in there from other guests not being able to tidy up after themselves! Again no fault of the lovely staff. Don’t reserve your sun beds, we did each day so we had good shade for the kids, we returned after breakfast to find our stuff has been taken away. You then have to do the walk of shame to collect your bag with belongings inside. It was funny, they do say not to reserve your beds! ?? If you want a chilled typical family holiday suitable for all then you can’t go wrong with this hotel. Some reviews are a bit harsh. The location is fab with bars and restaurants and supermarkets a 5 minute walk away. The marina is lovely for food and a walk. I personally wouldn’t do All Inclusive again in Lanzarote. It’s not expensive to eat out and the quality of the restaurants is very good. Thank you to the hotel and staff for a lovely holiday in the sun, but please see the negative points as a way to improve on the little things that matter.

Honest family review, A week in August 2023

scottymillsuk

Just got back from a week half board with 2 x adults 2 x kids. Overall hotel was fine, typical holiday hotel for kids. You read some of the reviews and its laughable. if you want my 5 star treatment, go to Dubai and pay for for it. You wont go fare wrong with this hotel...…Yes its getting a bit tired and can improve in areas but overall its fine. Firstly if you want to upgrade to all inclusive you can this at reception, cost about £17 a day for kids and £37 a day for adults but you cant do it for the odd day, has to be for the rest of of your holiday once you start it. Staff are mostly fine but it does feel that they need more staff in busier times. You get water and orange juice at breakfast but nothing for lunch or dinner, everything is chargeable. Also the hotel make you take this blue card and bit of paper to lunch or dinner. This is so old school - hotel need to get rid of this for a more modern system. They charged you roughly £1 to change a towel which I find very odd, surly this should be free? If you exit the rear of the hotel there is a supermarket and if you go further down and turn right, there are loads of restaurants to eat at, 100% recommend doing that rather than eating at the hotel everyday, prices are pretty good as well. Don't have any rooms tips, pretty much all the same wherever you are? Everywhere takes card and cash, Outside of the hotel a beer is roughly £2.90 a pint (did see it somewhere at £1.40 in happy hour), Any Vodka / Gin and mixer is roughly £5.5 - £6 but they are always minimum doubles. Bottle of wine is roughly £15- £25 depending on what you want. Sunbeds aren't a problem, loads of them about and always some available somewhere. What I would say is that they 100% need more parasols, simply not enough for the amount of bed and hot weather. Pool area is fine but hate the pool liner, cant beat a tiled pool lol. Can see why they have done it but personally I don't like it. Hotel is roughly 40 mins from the airport. Beach is lovely! (4 min walk from hotel) Bring a snorkel! Roughly £3 a day per sunbed and roughly £3 a day for a parasol. Bring towel clips as the whole place is very windy, A good windy though, as it gives you some relief rom the heat. Enjoy!
