H10 Lanzarote Princess, Lanzarote

Enjoyed our stay at the Princess and we would stay again. Our room was a little tired, with draws/doors that didn't close properly, but overall it was an enjoyable week. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit of a lottery tho. Shortage of cups, teapots, sometimes not all the hot food available.

Weve stayed in the Lanzarote Princess many times over the last few years. The hotels position is perfect and outside areas immaculate. The staff we have encountered have been courteous,friendly and an asset to the hotel. Now to address the contentious issues that seem to come up. Yes the dining area is looking a bit sad but this hotel is open all year round so this is a difficult issue to fix. However Ive been led to believe some refurbishment will start soon. The same can be said of the bedrooms. While completely comfortable they are looking tired and dated. While we were there though we saw that again refurbishment is under way. Food- the buffet provides a good choice but can get busy especially at dinner time. But most hotels with buffet service are the same. We will have no hesitation in returning and hope to do so sooner rather than later. While we visit other hotels during the year the Princess holds a special place in our hearts.

This hotel is very well located with an easy walk to the town, beach and market. The staff are very friendly. We had a well appointed and large room (a family room for the two of us!). Evening entertainment was good with a choice of venues. If you are not on full board, the choice for lunch is disappointingly limited. Our main concern was the arrangement and placement of the hot food for the evening meal. Choice was ok but limited. The placement of some of the hot food on to cold counters meant that it was often luke warm. The placement of the various dishes was also fragmented giving rise to a lot of activity as guests searched for their choices. It lead to a restless atmosphere that hampered enjoyment of the meal. Frequently particular dishes were slow to be refreshed. Overall a good value hotel and would stay there again.

Still here having a lovely holiday……. Start with the positives as I was uncertain after reading the bad reviews. Hotel nice, clean pool area, lobby, bars etc. Pool suitable for family’s with a kids area, plenty of sun beds, drinks bar, ground generally kept clean and tidy. Staff continually working keeping it clean. Our family room was lovely on the quiet side of hotel. Maid service each day was to a high standard. Kids entertainment good and staff brilliant with the children. All staff were friendly and helpful, they work very hard at looking after the guest. Drink selection good, plenty to choose from. Good selection for breakfast lunch and dinner. It is limited to some point but what is on offer is fresh and tasty. The salads are very nice. Oh the coffee shop does gorgeous drinks for adults and kids. The Italian is very good for food, we didn’t eat in the Japanese but heard it was good. The not so good points……. The staff are limited which means at meal times some food wasn’t stocked up as quickly as it should have been, tables weren’t cleared quick enough for the amount of guests which meant sitting outside wasn’t much of an option due to tables not being cleared. Having to que for the fresh grill area was a pain, but worth it. This is nothing to do with the staff as they are excellent they just need more staff! The restaurant can be hectic at busy times, we chose to eat at the quieter times so not a problem. They need more parasols as it is a family hotel so they need to provide shade for the families with young kids. Table service should really be offered for the outside entertainment area, would give an extra touch. The cactus bar only has one person serving which makes it slow, it also gets messy in there from other guests not being able to tidy up after themselves! Again no fault of the lovely staff. Don’t reserve your sun beds, we did each day so we had good shade for the kids, we returned after breakfast to find our stuff has been taken away. You then have to do the walk of shame to collect your bag with belongings inside. It was funny, they do say not to reserve your beds! ?? If you want a chilled typical family holiday suitable for all then you can’t go wrong with this hotel. Some reviews are a bit harsh. The location is fab with bars and restaurants and supermarkets a 5 minute walk away. The marina is lovely for food and a walk. I personally wouldn’t do All Inclusive again in Lanzarote. It’s not expensive to eat out and the quality of the restaurants is very good. Thank you to the hotel and staff for a lovely holiday in the sun, but please see the negative points as a way to improve on the little things that matter.
