H10 Ocean Suites, Fuerteventura

Good hotel in central location.

We chose H10 Ocean Suites due to its location in Corralejo and the facilities provided for children. As we arrived at the hotel late the friendly, helpful reception staff were a delight to meet. Check in was smooth and efficiently done. Due to the number of clients arriving late a lovely buffet was available for us - this was very much appreciated after a long travel day! We had requested ground floor rooms near each other which had been provided. The rooms were of a good size with ample wardrobe and storage space. The flat screen TV is located on a central unit with drawers, this acted as a room divider. The lounge area has a sofa( which converts into a double bed) small fridge and coffee maker . A bottle of water was provided on arrival. Floor length mirror and wardrobes are positioned here which included a safe. The only notable word of caution is the split level - the bed and bathroom are located up a step from the lounge which can easily be missed ,I forgot about it twice and misjudged my step . I placed my suitcase in front of the bed so as I wouldn't forget especially in the dark. A recommendation would be for this step to be highlighted in some way to show a difference between the two floor levels, given they are of the same dark colour. The bed was very comfortable with an adequate supply of pillows. A good size bathroom with shower cubicle, toilet, bidet and a double vanity unit. Towels and toiletries ( soap, shower gel , shampoo and conditioner) were provided. The room was cleaned daily and the towels changed when required. Pool towels were provided on arrival and could be changed once during a week's stay. My only comment was that the floor was not mopped during my weeks' stay ,it became quite dirty under bare foot. The outdoor space was good with a clothes drier , table and chairs. Our room was in a lovely location which had sun in the evening so we could relax there before dinner. A varied buffet for breakfast, dinner and lunch was available. Our booking was on a half board basis and during our stay we were able to sample different food. Fresh fruit was always available and re stocked regularly. We were told on check in that we could swap dinner for lunch by contacting reception on the day required. The animation team worked really tirelessly providing entertainment for adults and children each day. My granddaughters especially enjoyed running into the pool along a floating mat supervised of course. The kids disco each evening with the animation team was thoroughly enjoyed by the children. Daisy always made an appearance at the end. The pools were an adequate size with 2 short slides into the children's pool. A lifeguard was presented at both pools. A pool bar is located at both pools and payment (if on half board) was via room bracelet. An itemized bill was provided on check out so a idea is to keep drink receipts if you want to check on spending. A well equipped outside gym was available to use during your stay. There is a shower room available if you have a late flight home. Best to book on day of departure. At all times the staff we met were friendly and helpful which created a lovely atmosphere within the hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

Best hotel in Corralejo

Yet again another fabulous holiday at this top hotel in Corralejo. Room was great with cleaners every day, and air conditioning. The food was as always, very good with plenty of choice. The staff at all areas and roles across the hotel were brilliant, friendly and always there to help. Positioned in the best place to explore the town of Corralejo. Thank you to all at H10 for a lovely stay.

Relaxing

Location excellent, atmosphere we would recommend a visit to the music square, rooms comfortable and clean.

Lovely stay, some helpful hints

45 minutes from airport and 5 min walk to main bars and shops, some start 2 min walk away. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are nice apart from the smell of the drains. I had an operation in January so was still struggling with crutch so 1st room we got was right at the bottom of the complex upstairs so not ideal. They was very helpful and gave us a room the day after right next to reception and same level, perfect. Staff are very helpful and attentive. Complex has 2 pools the expensive side pool was so quite even with people there and a rule for everything, we had a good laugh at the rules and lack of music The poor peoples pool was much better same rules but were far more relaxed, plus there was music. Loved that pool. Food was average but acceptable, not a lot of variety but OK. Pudding is topical all the colours of the rainbow, but basically lacking taste or texture. The special Italian restaurant was much better standard but still below what you expect. Drinks selection is average and cocktails are not as advertised piña colada was missing coconut cream and asperol spritz was not and don't mention the weirdest porn star martini we have ever tasted. Pools are nicely set out and always able to get a sunbed. Must try the mango daiquiri poolside that's nice. TUI need to work on excursion variety and cost of excursions. Did not try spa but was available for a minimal fee.
