Fantastic stay at H10 Gran Tenerfe

This is our 4th time staying at this adult only hotel. Great location, great food, cleanliness to a high standard and the staff are helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend staying there.

Beautiful hotel Adults only

I'd have given my review 5 stars if it wasn't for the food, I felt for such a grand hotel the selection of hot meats was poor, i did struggle most days as don't eat fish, but a good selection of salads, breads and cold meats Breakfast was lovely, desserts lovely, look I didn't go hungry I always found something but I'd have liked bit more choice main meals, we ate in the waiter served privaledge restaurant for lunch and had good meals, mikes coffee shop was lovely nice caramel frappe with choice of cakes went down well at 3pm lol hotel itself is beautiful, at first we were given a room very dark no balcony this wasn't what we paid for so asked to be moved we were moved to beautiful room S36 in the annexe behind the gym (no noise) room was massive large ceiling fan helped instead of having air con on. I think this was possibly a superior room. We had 5 rooms booked in total and everyone was happy, very comfortable beds and pillows. Staff are so friendly welcomed us with cava or fruit juice whilst checking in. Hugo guests relations came to find us after few days to check everything was good for us. We found the beach not great outside the hotel but that's not hotel fault. We did get cabs in to the fanabe area most nights so location wasn't perfect for us and for that reason only I'd not stay again. Pools are beautiful here and for once are not freezing, 13 of us and still got sunbeds together however before 10am u have to sit on them, the pool guy comes removes towels, good thing maybe but it meant couples had to go breakfast separately, I think personally saved beds 1 hour if no one returns then remove towels. Overall we had a wonderful 5 night stay and I would recommend to friends if location wasn't so important.

Great Hotel but not as good as used to be!

We recently stayed at the H10 Gran Tinerfe and, while we enjoyed our holiday overall, there were several aspects of the experience that prevented it from fully meeting the premium standard we were expecting.
The hotels location is one of its strongest assets, with direct access to the seafront promenade and beautiful ocean views. The adults-only atmosphere is generally calm and relaxing, and the grounds are kept in good condition. However, one significant issue was ongoing construction work on some of the upper floors during our stay. Protective coverings were visible around balcony areas, clearly indicating active works. Unfortunately, this was not communicated to us at check-in. The noise at times was very loud and disruptive, and this is something guests should be informed of in advance so expectations can be managed.
The food offering had both strengths and weaknesses. Breakfast in the Los Menceyes buffet restaurant was consistently very good, with a wide variety of fresh and high-quality options. Lunch in the buffet, however, was more limited and repetitive, so we often chose instead to eat at El Mirador Brasserie, which consistently delivered excellent quality despite a smaller menu.
The speciality restaurants were a real highlight. Asensen Food & Experience provided an intimate and carefully curated fine-dining experience, while Il Gran Cuore Italian Restaurant was equally impressive and well worth booking during your stay.
Around the pool, the Drago Snack Bar was extremely busy throughout the day, often with queues stretching across the bridge. While the selection was generally good, we did experience inconsistency in service, including being refused a snack despite service still being open, which was disappointing for an all-inclusive hotel.
The lobby bar is another area where the hotel could improve. It offers some of the most comfortable seating in the hotel and would be ideal as a daytime relaxation space and a welcome escape from the heat, yet it does not open until 5pm. It feels like a missed opportunity not to utilise this space during the day, even just for tea, coffee, and soft drinkswould make better use of this area. In the evenings, it becomes extremely busy, and service can be slow, particularly as the Sunset Chill-Out Bar was not open during our stay, leaving pressure on a single bar to serve multiple areas.
The mini bar service has also changed compared to previous visits and is now only provided once at the start of the stay with no replenishment. Room safes are also not included and are provided on a paid weekly basis with a physical key rather than a keypad system. While secure, this feels outdated for a hotel of this standard.
In addition, bottled water is charged at 2.80 per bottle, which feels excessive given tap water is not suitable for drinking.
Staff were generally friendly, welcoming, and hardworking. However, there was inconsistency in enforcing hotel policies, particularly around smoking in designated areas. The 20 per towel deposit also feels high for this standard of hotel with an additional 1 charge to get a clean fresh towel.
One area where the hotel deserves particular praise is its attention to special occasions. Prior to arrival, the hotel was informed that we would be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, and on arrival we found the room beautifully prepared with decorations, chocolates, and a complimentary bottle of cava. During the stay, I also celebrated my birthday, and again the hotel provided cava, glasses, and a chocolate cake with a candle. These thoughtful gestures were genuinely appreciated.
Overall, the H10 Gran Tinerfe has many strengths, particularly its location, views, breakfast offering, attentive staff, and excellent speciality restaurants. However, the lack of communication regarding construction work, inconsistencies in service, limited facilities in the evenings, and changes to in-room amenities mean the experience does not fully match the premium image the hotel promotes. We still had a very enjoyable stay and created some great memories, but there are several areas where improvements would significantly enhance the guest experience.

Excellent week

A lovely week away. Went all inclusive.
Arrived to a warm welcome, tall glass of bubbles or juice if you preferred and sat us down whilst they checked us in. Slight downer that the room wasnt ready until 3pm so we wandered around after we had lunch.
Room: We had a deluxe terrace room located on the ground floor which was very spacious. Plenty of plugs, 3 pillows each on a comfortable bed, one was probably enough as they were quite plump. Lovely bathroom with good quality toiletries included finished off with robe and slippers for each of us. Bonus points for tv with English channels for those tipping point fanatics. We had allocated sun beds on the terrace outside our room which was a few steps down if you wanted to access the pool. Very luxurious to have sun loungers outside your room.
Pool: 3 pools, one warm, one cold and didnt try the other one. Plus a hot tub which was hot. Pool bar had branded drinks and no limit on how many you can order.
Breakfast: different coffees from a machine and a huge tea corner with teapot's and speciality teas. Usual full English for the die hards and continental for others. Show cooking included pancakes, omelettes and fried eggs.
Lunch/dinner: lots of salad, soup, show cooking of fish and meat plus usual buffet choices. Im not a vegetarian but my favourite dishes were bean stew, squid in tomato sauce and spinach pastry. They also had themed nights which included Hindu, canaries, British, Mexican. The themed nights only displayed in a small section though so plenty of other choice. They had shell on king prawns on the show cooking one night which were delicious. The soup lost points as very samey. You have to book a time for dinner using the QR code. Waiters also did a drinks order when you sat down including glass bottled water.
Entertainment: usual day activities like archery, water exercises etc by the animation team but we didnt participate. Early evening singer in the lobby bar and the main evening bar. The late show was around 9.30 and a disco after til late. Inside the main bar they take your order at the table.
Coffee bar- serving shakes, espresso martinis, all kinds of coffee, ice cream, cakes and pastries. All included with all inclusive.
Drinks- branded spirits and wine. Cocktail menu as well.
I celebrated my birthday there and there was a foam pool party on that day. Our neighbours told them it was my birthday and the next thing I knew i was in the pool with bubbly. The hotel left me complimentary cava and birthday cake in the room.
Outside the hotel there are supermarkets and shops. The hotel has direct beach access, if you turn right you can walk to Costa Adeje or left for las Américas. There are lots of restaurants and bars outside the hotel if you are not all inclusive. They give you 2 vouchers to use at their on site la carte restaurant to use but we didnt use them as enjoyed the buffet so much.
The beach was nice, but when in the water its very rocky. If you turn right and walk to Costa adeje there is a lovely beach with lots of activities, shops and restaurants.
Siam park- amazing day out, went on all the slides twice. Went all inclusive which includes fast track, definitely worth it.
Overall, the staff were very attentive especially Orlando who was amazing. Would definitely stay here again. Couldnt fault the hotel or the team. The photos are from 7am on the day of departure.
