Good service, 3* food at best

The location is great and the hotel staff are really nice. The rooms are clean and the hotel in general is clean and well maintained.
Downsides: this trip pushed us into a discussion about going self catering moving forward. The food in this H10 was below average. Very limited choice, poor taste (no flavour, even for a curry!) and always too cold even at first sitting. Having to use the microwave for every dish is pretty disappointing. Especially given most of the food was already overcooked.
We had breakfast one morning and I don't know how mushrooms can be so yuk, they only need a bit of butter and salt & pepper. So we ate out a fair bit, although it is important to highlight the al a carte lunch at the poolside bar is freshly cooked and hot.
The evening entertainment was catered towards the majority of guests - retired/over 65. If you're under 55 and planning a fun, upbeat/lively time bring your own entertainment or plan time out.
Otherwise, good options for exercise in the gym or aqua aerobics and plenty of options and sunbeds for sunbathing. The staff are very nice, big shout out to the lobby bar staff and great job by the room staff they do a great job of maintaining the bedrooms/bathrooms.
It wasn't disappointing, it was an average chilled time in a good location, the let down was definitely the food and the really hard bed...

I reviewed this hotel in December 2019, and other than the covid years, have continued to return, so they must be doing something right. All the staff are pleasant and friendly. The bedrooms are fine and the restaurant is more than adequate. The food is varied and generally good. One strange thing is that prior to one evening meal, my wife and I decided to take our drinks from the upstairs bar into the restaurant but it was not allowed! I could understand if we had been bringing bottles/cans in from outside the hotel but from the hotel bar?
No matter, overall it was still a very enjoyable break and we will be hoping to return again this coming December.

Friendly and efficient staff throughout the hotel, which is well maintained and clean. Great food with a good variety. Special mention for the evening entertainment programme. In our view it is the best that we have ever experienced.

Absolutely love this hotel from the location to the staff. The hotel is very clean the food is great and the staff are very helpful. This was my 3rd visit and will be going back again.
