A foodies dream but needs a makeover
sorcham767
We went for our pre-wedding stay on the privilege all-inclusive package.
The food and the staff were the absolute highlight. However, it was definitely more of a four star than five. A few tweaks would definitely bring it back.
The great
- The staff are some of the warmest and friendliest people you'll meet. The manager in Route 66 and in Stromboli deserve a raise! They managed busy restaurants effortlessly and the food was excellent.
- The food was fantastic and I am a coeliac!! The breakfast in the View was calm and peaceful. You can order two items off the menu. Eating perfectly cooked eggs outside was a real treat, no rushing and you can start your day right. They've a small buffet but it's more than sufficient.
As a coeliac, the main buffet gave me the absolute fear. I wasn't to worry as the chef shows you around. Marcus, a second chef there, went above and beyond for me - cooking a separate pasta dish in a coeliac friendly zone. The four cheese sauce he made was to die for. That level of effort alone would bring me back!
- The room was spacious and clean. Despite it being two beds pushed together, it worked so well as they have dressed the bed that you wouldn't know. We had a welcome bottle of champagne for our pre wedding celebration and it was a really nice touch.
- Mikes was the spot to be in, while it was closed several days during our stay, when it was open, it was the best spot to get smoothies, cakes and coffees. Definitely a spot to stop by.
Much needed improvements
- The spa is very outdated and really needs a good overhaul. Lots of black mould growing between the tiles. The sauna and steam room need a complete make over.
- The gym equipment needs to be replaced. It's a small space and the weight section is excellent but the bikes and rowing machine have seen better days - not what you want from a 5 star
- The rooftop pool is beautiful but there are SO many tiles missing and the lack of maintenance really impacts on the experience. We were also under the impression it was an adult only space, it isn't. I really would recommend that they only allow over 8s in, as a group had small children playing on the steps and it made it incredibly difficult getting in and out of the pool - no one wants to hurt a small child trying to get in and out. A couple complained to the parents and there was a minor argument. Not what you want when you're trying to unwind. The lifeguard who should have stepped in was glued to his phone.
- Snack options need improvement! The rooftop bar only offers crisps or peanuts with the alcohol and soft drinks served. While they do go around with fruit cups which are delightful, I would recommend adding in ice cream, fruit pots and other snacks people can grab - make it unlimited on the all-inclusive. It's a similar story for the circle bar.
- They say you cannot reserve sun beds but you witness it as you're coming down for breakfast at 8am. They don't really enforce rules and the whole running for sun beds really cheapens the vibes. It didn't happen in the privilege areas, just the general pools.
- Booking everything on the app can get very tedious.
- Late checkout is subject to availability and I strongly believe it isn't something they actually offer. You need to call the day before to 'reserve a spot,' then ring again the next morning. They could only offer us a room for 30 mins which defeated the purpose entirely as we had four suitcases and a wedding dress. It isn't giving a seamless experience and the whole process really annoyed me.
Would we come back? We are on the fence, while the food was excellent and the staff were fabulous. Some areas of the hotel need a serious make over. Rules should be enforced to ensure the safety and pleasure of all guests. More snacks during the day would be a wonderful plus.

Lovely first family trip abroad with new baby
Mark R
This was our second stay at H10 Atlantic Sunset, and once again we had a fantastic experience. This time we opted for the standard all-inclusive package rather than Privilege, as we were travelling with our 4-month-old baby girl and knew our evenings and use of the speciality restaurants would be a little different with earlier nights being the priority!
The staff were absolutely amazing with our baby girl. At every meal, staff would come over to say hello and were incredibly friendly and welcoming to her and to us. It was such a lovely touch and really made us feel comfortable travelling abroad with a young baby.
We had one evening meal in Route 66, which was really delicious. The buffet restaurant is also of a very good standard. I wouldnt normally be the biggest fan of buffet dining, but this is definitely one of the better hotel buffets we have experienced, particularly for both breakfast and dinner.
I also ate lunch in Route 66 each day and found it consistently very good. The drinks were good quality too, and one thing we really appreciated was that there was never any significant queuing at the bars.
The location is lovely for a relaxing holiday, with the seafront providing a nice place to go for a walk. It was the perfect first holiday abroad with our newborn, allowing us to completely relax while still enjoying everything the hotel has to offer.
The rooms are spacious and modern, with large balconies and lovely sea views, which were particularly nice to enjoy in the evening.
Overall, another excellent stay at H10 Atlantic Sunset. The combination of great food, friendly staff, spacious modern rooms and such a welcoming attitude towards families with young children made this the perfect relaxing holiday for us. We would happily return again.

Beautiful hotel with Beautiful views
Mirona-Elena V
Loved staying at this hotel. Everything was exceptional. Amazing food, polite staff, clean in general.
The reason why I am giving it 4 stars only is that the Roof top Suite jacuzzi is not actually a jacuzzi, but a tub with hydrojets and is too small for 2 people. Also, the tub was keep blowing some black flakes into the water when yhe hydrojets were on. This was improved after we reported it, but it did not stop completely.
The cleaning of the room was great and the overall hotel. In our shower there were some black mold between the tiles in some areas.
The views from the hotel were breathtaking and the staff amazing. We really enjoyed our holiday here and most likely, we will come again.
Thank you for having us!
