H10 Atlantic Sunset Horizons Collection, Tenerife

This review is about the hotel on its own merit and in comparison, to other H10 hotels we have stayed at. We booked the hotel for a 7-night stay and upgraded to Privilege which we always do in this hotel chain. CHECK-IN It is advertised on the website and in the hotel about personalised check-in and check-out for Privilege clients. This is a standard that we have been used to at other H10 hotels we have stayed at. When booking the hotel, we were notified by email that we could check-in online before arriving to beat the queues. A few days before we arrived, we checked in online. The technology seemed pretty good as we had to upload a photo of our passports and all the details were scanned and loaded into the online page. Fantastic! We were checked in online. When arriving at any 5-star hotel were usually amazed at the look of it. From the outside it does look amazing but when entering the reception it didnt give me 5 star feeling. It does look great, but it didnt give me that Wow! Factor. When we arrived at the hotel there was quite a few people waiting to check-in. We fully understand this as after all, its a hotel. There were three reception staff who were do a brilliant job checking everyone in. And there was another person coordinating everything, but all of these didnt seem enough. There were two members of staff sitting in guest relations who didnt do anything, these could have possibly helped. This is where the comparison with other H10 hotels starts. Weve stayed at the H10 Costa Adeje Palace and the H10 Gran Tinerfe in Costa Adeje. When we arrived at these hotels, we were whisked away to a Privilege reception where we were dealt with personally. We were shown around the hotel and all the features. Even though it states a personalised check-in, it didnt happen at this hotel. We handed our passports over and were told our names would be called. About 45 minutes later we were seen to, we did get two drinks of cava and some snacks. This is the longest weve had to wait on any hotel check-in. There were other people arriving at the hotel after us who got dealt with before us. Once we did get called to check in, we had to fully check in again. Doing it online a few days before did not make any difference so was a waste of time really. We were told the rooms werent ready and there was no problem with this as we knew we had arrived before the 3 oclock check-in. Possibly they could have told us straight away, took our bags then called us when the room was ready. We got a brief explanation about the Privilege area. They called us later when the room was ready. ROOM I cant fault anything with the Privilege room 3306. It was very spacious with a small seating area. A large balcony with amazing views. The bed was huge and comfortable. A large bathroom with his and hers side. Lots of storage space. The only thing which was different to other hotels was that there was nothing in the fridge. We didnt go all-inclusive but normally there are drinks in the fridge, and you can have a cheeky beer and get charged for it. We got free water every day which was a bonus. And the coffee pods and milk were topped up every day. The room was cleaned every day. PRIVILEGE AREAS We went along to the Privilege area. This wasnt cordoned off so anyone who hadnt paid for Privilege was using it. This is where its different to the other H10 hotels as you can only access the areas if you are Privilege. The lounge itself with the free drinks, you have to be Privilege to be able to gain access to it, but you couldnt take drinks outside. Again, this is different to the other H10 hotels as they allow plastic glasses outside. We went to the 6th floor Privilege which only Privilege guests can access. This is classed as a quiet zone but its full of children so got really noisy, especially in the infinity pool. You have to pay for drinks in this Privilege area which I thought was strange. So, in comparison to the other H10 hotels I think the Privilege areas werent as good as the other H10 hotels. BUFFET RESTAURANT Its not a very large restaurant and there were queues every day to get in with lots of people complaining as they hadnt booked. We had no problem having to book for the meals as the app was very easy to use. It was very busy at times with lots of noisy children running about. We know this isnt an adults only hotel but there seemed to be no control over them at times. It would have been nice to have an adults only area. Were vegetarian and the food options were great, especially the desserts. PRIVILEGE RESTAURANT Again, no complaints here. There's not as much choice as the buffet restaurant, but for an amazing dining experience I recommend booking here. SUMMARY Overall, this is an excellent hotel for families with children. Its not the hotel if you want the 5-star feeling and touches. The hotel feels like a really good 4 star. There didnt seem much of an atmosphere compared to other hotels and we only used the entertainment room once. It's pretty good value for money for what you do get at the hotel. Its in an absolutely beautiful location. Its really quiet compared to the likes of Costa Adeje, Las Americas and Los Cristianos, but we knew this before we went as we wanted a quieter resort. The hotel offers a free return shuttle bus into Las Americas which is excellent and which we used several times. The views from the hotel are amazing. All of the staff are amazing so thank you to everyone. There definitely needs to be an adults only area as this would make the hotel stand out. I would stay again but this would be with grand children, I wouldnt come back as a couple.

Weve just returned from nine nights at the H10 Atlantic Sunset Horizons Collection in Playa Paraiso, Tenerife, and it easily lived up to its five-star rating. We stayed all-inclusive through Jet2 Holidays and found the whole experience smooth from start to finish. The flight into Tenerife South took around four and a half hours, and the transfer to the hotel was a simple 30-minute drive. Hotel & Location The hotel sits on the edge of Playa Paraiso with lovely views out to the Atlantic. Its modern, spotless, and well maintained, spread across three connected buildings with around 300 rooms. Theres a small town nearby with a few bars, shops and cafés, plus a shopping centre about a 20-minute walk away. Taxis are always available, and bus routes run from just outside the hotel. Arrival & Room Check-in was quick and friendly, with a glass of champagne and pastries on arrival a great first impression. Our room was large, modern, and spotless, with a sea-view balcony, comfy bed, safe, air-con, coffee machine, and plenty of USB sockets. The bathroom was bright and spacious with an excellent shower, and we loved the wristband room key simple and convenient. Food & Drink There are four main restaurants plus one reserved for Privilege guests. The buffet restaurant was consistently good varied, fresh, and always topped up. We especially enjoyed the la carte options: Route 66 (American-style diner), Stromboli (Italian classics), and Sakura (Teppanyaki show cooking our favourite!). The coffee shop also served great snacks and desserts in a relaxed setting. Bars were excellent too cocktails and friendly service during the day, with live entertainment in the evenings. Marcus at the pool bar really stood out for great service. Pools & Facilities There are four main pools plus a Privilege rooftop infinity pool. All were temperature-controlled with plenty of high-quality sunbeds. The Splash Park kept families busy, while the Circle Pool beside the swim-up rooms was perfect for relaxing. The Infinity Pool overlooking the ocean was stunning. Other facilities include a modern gym, full-service spa, small arcade, and a well-stocked on-site shop. Everything was spotless and well managed. Entertainment & Activities Evening shows ranged from singers to tribute acts the Elton John night was brilliant. Daytime activities were varied and easy to join in, from aqua fit to paddleboard yoga. Families are well catered for with a great kids club and friendly animation team. Getting Around The resort is built on a hill, but lifts and ramps connect all levels, so its easy to move around. Accessibility is clearly well thought-out. Nearby Just outside, theres a small row of bars and shops plus the Hard Rock Hotel and its shop. A short walk uphill takes you to the Rosa Centre for more restaurants and cafés. Fanabe Market and Costa Adeje are about 15 minutes by taxi, and La Caleta is a great nearby spot for authentic seaside dining. Final Thoughts We really enjoyed our stay friendly staff, great food, spotless facilities, and a relaxed atmosphere that still feels high-end. Theres plenty to do whether youre travelling as a couple or family, and the hotel feels calm and welcoming throughout. Wed happily stay again or try another of H10s Horizons Collection hotels. A Fantastic Family Getaway We'll Be Back! This was our second time staying at this hotel, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. The rooms are incredibly spaciousperfect for families. With five pools, each offering a unique atmosphere, there was something for everyone: younger kids, teens, and even older parents found their ideal spot to relax or play. We upgraded to the Privilege package, which was absolutely worth it. The food was consistently lovely, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the animation team kept the energy high and the fun flowing. Our children spent hours in the pools which were heated and had an amazing time. We did encounter a small hiccup on the last day regarding our room extension, but the reception team handled it promptly and professionally. Aside from that, everythingfrom the food to the pristine condition of the hotelwas flawless. Were already looking forward to our next visit

Loved staying at this hotel. Everything was exceptional. Amazing food, polite staff, clean in general. The reason why I am giving it 4 stars only is that the Roof top Suite jacuzzi is not actually a jacuzzi, but a tub with hydrojets and is too small for 2 people. Also,the tub was keep blowing some black flakes into the water when yhe hydrojets were on. This was improved after we reported it, but it did not stop completely. The cleaning of the room was great and the overall hotel. In our shower there were some black mold between the tiles in some areas. The views from the hotel were breathtaking and the staff amazing. We really enjoyed our holiday here and most likely, we will come again. Thank you for having us!
