H10 Imperial Tarraco, Tarragona

I asked if I could check out late, and they said I could, at a charge. I agreed, and they said I can check out at 3pm ..but on the morning of the day checking out, when I went to refresh the room card, I was told that it wasn't allowed at 3pm, it would be 2pm - So someone (one of the two people I spoke to) doesn't know the actual rules surrounding this. I could see my balcony door open, from the pool area below, and it wasn't cleaned (/ no cleaner turned up there) until 3.10pm. NB I am not annoyed by this, but just pointingout what happened (facts). I could hear the sea from my room, which was very nice. - It is actually quiet enough to sleep, with the french doors open. The bed was quite comfortable - it was 2 singles/ I'd have preferred a double. I didn't sleep very well, but that has little to do with the room (well, I may have slept better in a double as it did feel quitesmall - but hey, someone has to have one of thetwins in the hotel). The air conditioning worked well. The shower door and tray allowed water to flood across the bathroom floor, so I had to stuff a bath mat over the gap, on the inside. The ceiling fan squeaked, so It needed some oil (It couldn't be used). The room service menu is limited - There is really only a burger that is a proper meal - a pizza and small portions of pasta (that have nothing come with the pasta, like a small salad and a roll or something), are not a proper meal for a man. The main menus in the hotel are mostly beef and fish (there are 4 beef dishes, which is a bit unbalanced). - Note to hotel - In the UK we eat a lot of chicken, therefore if you put a chicken schnitzel with fries or something, on the menu, you would sell a lot of them. When I stayed here before, they had chicken or Ham croquettes and french fries, but these were not on the menu anymore, which was disappointing (only octopus and some kind of dry beef ones). There are buskers just outside the front of the hotel (on the seafront/ not near the hotel entrance) - some are very good, and some are awful ..droning/ karaoke types, crucifying classic songs by Amy Winehouse, Shirley Bassey etc IE One hopes they will end and clear off soon, as its painful to hear them for hours on end / they are shockinglyabysmal and irritating ..clearly with zero self awareness of this - The councilwould do themselves a service to vet them properly, before allowing them a licence. I had to keep my french doors shut a lot, when I'd like to have had them open. The hotel allowed my cousin to park his car at the front, so I was appreciative of that (he turned up to meet me for lunch one day). The staff are very nice and accommodating, and it was another great stay. I love the breakfasts/ I love sitting in the outside area, amongst the shrubs and the bird song, in the morning warmth (strangely, most people sit inside). When picking the grapes up off myplate at breakfast, I noticed quite a lot of black on my fingers (on 2 days and also in a fruit salad for room service), so I'd suggest they're not washed properly (even though they may primarily look clean). The roof is the big selling point of this hotel, it automatically makes it a very memorable stay, with magnificent 360 degree views, great seating areas and I love the pool (it's shallow, but you can still swim). The pool at ground level is also great - it is longer and deeper than the roof pool IE like a regular pool. Doves like to drink at the pool. There was a food truck in the lower pool area, but it never opened whilst I was staying (even though it is advertised on their website). Like my trip before, I found that the staff on the roof are very friendly. - If you're a solo traveller, they will make you feel welcome. I was not offered a drink at the reception when I arrived, but I noticed everyone else checking in, was offered one. I can understand that some perks like this, are done to 'wow' couples and families / After all, they are spending more money overall. I don't really mind, I'm justpointing it out (to you, the reader). This was my 2nd stay here (previous was in 2022), and I would certainly consider staying again.

Great location. Easy to get to the old town as well as the sea. You can even walk and see the mind blowing yachts. Comfortable beds with nice sheets. Beautiful rooftop pool and bar. Fantastic breakfast! Super nice staff. You don't need anything more.

Come and stay here at the premiere hotel overlooking the amphitheater at Tarragona by the ocean. Incredible location with great rooms, comfy beds, great waterfall showers and friendly staff. We loved everything about this hotel. They exceeded our expectations. Will highly recommend them and would love to come back here again.

Glorious experience at this hotel. The classic room had a view of sea and mountains. The pool off the reception area was spacious with plenty of sun beds. We watched the sunset while sipping our wine on the roof terrace. Highly recommend this hotel
