H10 Imperial Tarraco, Tarragona

This is a must stay hotel in Tarragona.

My husband and I highly recommend H10 Imperial Tarraco in Tarragona, Spain. The customer service is excellent. The 3 gentlemen at the reception desk went above and beyond to help us communicate with the car rental service, when our rental car (SKODA) started by itself when we were no where around; unlocked and locked itself, again while we were not present; and, turned on (and off) its headlights when we were no where near the car. Needless to say, the rental car was a liability to us, others on the roadand a fire risk to the security of other H 10 hotel guests. The 3 gentlemen at the reception desk, assisted us with the language barrier (we are not fluent in Spanish) through multiple transferred calls through the Europcar maze. Pere, Dimas and Unai helped us through a very stressful time. At our request, Pere convinced Europcar in Barcelona to drive to Tarragona to pick up the defective car and haul it away on a tow truck bed. While we were too stressed to obtain the evening security guards name, he too helped a great deal. (Our replacement car was a standard drive car, which I hadnt driven in over 30 years. While I had no problem going forward, the security guard showed me how to get the standard into reverse.) These 4 gentlemen are caring about their guests and the safety of all the guests in this beautiful and very comfortable hotel. We stayed only 4 nights at H 10, but we will definitely return, during our next visit to Tarragona. (We highly recommend this town, which is less than an hour south of Barcelona. Unlike Barcelona right now, Tarragonas residents opened their arms and hearts to us. The view of the Mediterranean Sea in Tarragona, is just as beautiful, if not more so than in Barcelona.) Friendly Staff

When I arrived, the front desk staff made me feel really welcome with a smile and a lovely welcome cocktail. Check-in was quick and easy and the gentlemen at the reception was very helpful, giving me great recommendations for places to visit in Tarragona and some good local restaurants. The Hotel itself is beautiful and the rooftop bar has amazing views and relaxed atmosphere. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and will be coming back.

Warrants a place at the top of choices for Tarragona

Really enjoyed this place, the parking was fine (prepaid to park onsite at an acceptable rate), reception were lovely, Cava to welcome us, room very clean and though a standard/basic room it gave us a great view of the sea and pool from the balcony, The rooftop view was something else, probably the best in Tarragona. Staff were all nice people, efficient with a smile, thanks H10, would love to come back!! X

Another great stay !

I always look forward to staying at the H10 Imperial Tarraco and this year's visit was as expected. It's a great hotel in a super location and it's new and modern. Although there was a slight mixup when I checked in as the room which I had booked was not available but this was soon rectified the next morning very professionally. The rooms are holding up well, slight wear and tear as you would expect but they are spacious and well appointed. The views from your balcony make the trip worthwhile. The bed is clean and very, very comfortable, the blackout blinds work very well and it is a great hotel to stay in. Plenty of wardrobe space and complimentary water which was replaced every day ( a smaller size to last year) Breakfast is varied and great. Plenty of choice of everything and some which I am not sure about - carrots or cauliflower for breakfast ? The choice of cakes and pastries continues to amaze me even though I do not have an especially sweet tooth. You will not leave the breakfast room hungry. They do clear away at 10.30 so don't be late. The rooftop pool are is a lovely place to relax and sun bathe or have a drink. The downstairs pool area never got very busy. There are pool towels available in the hamper by the sun loungers. All of the staff are great, helpful yet friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much. There is plenty of places nearby to eat, drink and shop nearby. The bus stop for buses 11 or 12 to the beaches is right outside the hotel so you are very well situated. The main bus terminus is about a 10/15 minute walk away. There is a Carrefour Express and a Spar both nearby for any snacks or water which you might need. Enjoy the wonderful H10 if you choose to stay here !
