Great hotel in a great location
Alison R
Hotel is in a great location a short taxi from the airport and is close to bars, shops and 5 minute walk to main strip and beach. It is also in a great location to go to other nearby towns or easy access to the buses/trains for trip further afield like Barcelona.
Hotel itself is a lovely, modern clean hotel, that is well maintained and looked after. It has a lovely welcoming reception area and most of the receptionist are very friendly and helpful and go out of your way to attend to (especially one called Diana)
Rooms are good enough size with a good sized bathroom, you can hire a kettle if you wish and they have hairdryer and toiletries provided, air con works great so room nice and cool when coming in.
Restaurant for breakfast/lunch/dinner has a nice area where you can sit outside, it has a good selection of hot and cold foods for you to choose from, I understand that some might not always like everything they see, but there is a variety for everyone and you will always get something you like.
The waitresses work very hard to clean up and look after you with drinks.
The main bar area also sells food, it has a nice choice if you are looking for something in the afternoon, they also have a good selection of drinks and make lovely cocktails that are well priced.
The bar staff/waiters work also very hard and are very nice and friendly, especially Danny, Jonathan and Joel, they were great throughout our stay.
The hotel has two pool areas a rooftop pool with a bar, if you are looking something a quiet and a main pool area if you want a bit of everything. The main pool is a good size it opens at 9am if you want a parasol maybe go at about 8.45, there is a slight que but its not a stampede by any means.
The lifeguard is friendly and funny not like in some hotels where they wouldnt even look at you unless you spoke to them.
The entertainment around the pool has something for everyone from aqua aerobics, shooting, fun games and bingo, Arian is such a lovely friendly guy who works very hard throughout the day to keep the guest entertained and having fun, he is great at what he does especially as he is on his own we had a great time with him, he also went out of his way in his free to help us with place/trips that we were looking to do outside of the hotel.
Over all we had a great experience in the hotel and will definitely return.

Ok, no pool umbrellas
Helen M
Am writing this sitting by the pool. There is no more than 20 umbrellas around big pool area. This makes for queues to form from 8.30am. As a must more umbrellas are needed, as soon as possible. For size of hotel, pool area is not big enough.
Food ok, should find something to eat.
10 min walk to beach.
Be aware walls are thin, if youve got neighbours who let door bang, it will wake you, and think someone is in your room.
Needs rooms to be more soundproofing.
Personally, this hotel feels to crowded for us.
Entertainment has been good.

Nice hotel, clean and food good. Staff friendly and informative. Only down side is room has no draw space, just bedside cabinets that are completely inadequate, clothes falling out all the time

Great location

This hotel is in a great location. Check in was quick though you don’t get into your room until 3 so had to leave our cases and go back. We had a pool view room which I would recommend. Rooms were clean though a bit dated. We were half board and although buffet wasn’t massive the food was always fresh and topped up regularly. We caught the evening entertainment a couple of nights and it was really quite good. If you have a pool view room you can watch from your balcony as it is held outside when weather is good. We stayed 9 nights and never had an issue getting sunbeds. We used the roof terrace a few times and it was really clean and a nice small bar.
As mentioned in previous reviews there is very little sound proofing between rooms which can be an issue.
My only criticism is that although there are lots of sunbeds there are very few parasols. During our stay we never had one at all and in the temperatures we had while there I would definitely have used one.
We took the Plana bus to Tarragona which is well worth a visit if you are in Salou and for those that like shopping it has a great shopping centre. Cambrils is also well worth a visit.
