H10 Vintage Salou, Salou - Cambrils

This is a very busy hotel. I have never seen the inside of the hotel being used so much. Lots of people playing cards and watching the entertainment too. Our room was a decent size, although could do with some hooks and shelving for extra storage space. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash and body lotion. If you were just coming for a few days with carry on, you wouldn't need to bring any of those toiletries in your bag. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed too. The staff were all lovely and always said 'Hola'. There was always a queue for both pools. The downstairs main pool opened at 9am and the Sixth floor sun terrace pool opened at 10am. We always managed to get a sun bed upstairs, but you did have to queue if you wanted one all day. I registered for the H10 club before going, but didn't get any benefits when there, which was disappointing. It won't stop me going back. We enjoyed our stay for sure.

Just back from a lovely week staying at this hotel. Great hotel, very modern and clean. Rooms good size and shower is AMAZING. Room cleaned each day, beds made and fresh towels. Food was okay, breakfast decent but struggled at evening meal times. I am fussy to be fair but didnt think there was much choice. They are catering for a lot of people from all over the world so its expected. Pool area very nice, spotless and well maintained. We dont get up early and there was always sunbeds available although not sure there would be in high season. We spent a day on the rooftop area but preferred the ground floor sunbathing area. Had a couple cocktails in the hotel which were nice. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly and very attentive. Although Salou isnt for us, in would certainly book a H10 hotel in a heartbeat with the hope theyre as good as this one.

Overall a great holiday and great hotel! As Club 10 members we had accumulated points and this was converted to euros and put on our room account. We also had chocolates in the room. Quick check in and had room 110. This was a deluxe on first floor with the big balcony. The beds were so comfortable and room was fine except the air- con. The room just never got cool let alone cold. We complained 3 times and the maintenance chap came to the room and said it was fine! We were actually sweating in the room. Anyway that's the grumbles out of the way. The food was excellent and lots of choice. On 2 occasions we swapped dinner for lunch which was handy. The bar service was excellent and drinks very reasonably priced. The same people every morning queued at the door for their favourite sunbeds. This is probably because there was a major shortage of parasols, only about 15 for the whole pool area. The lifeguard was brilliant at clearing people's belongings off the beds if they were left too long. It was quite entertaining! The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. There was a water refill point inside the lounge area on the bar. We caught some of the entertainment and it was generally very good. The games how was very competitive, good fun. Love the H10 hotels and this one didn't disappoint!

This hotel is in a great location. Check in was quick though you don’t get into your room until 3 so had to leave our cases and go back. We had a pool view room which I would recommend. Rooms were clean though a bit dated. We were half board and although buffet wasn’t massive the food was always fresh and topped up regularly. We caught the evening entertainment a couple of nights and it was really quite good. If you have a pool view room you can watch from your balcony as it is held outside when weather is good. We stayed 9 nights and never had an issue getting sunbeds. We used the roof terrace a few times and it was really clean and a nice small bar. As mentioned in previous reviews there is very little sound proofing between rooms which can be an issue. My only criticism is that although there are lots of sunbeds there are very few parasols. During our stay we never had one at all and in the temperatures we had while there I would definitely have used one. We took the Plana bus to Tarragona which is well worth a visit if you are in Salou and for those that like shopping it has a great shopping centre. Cambrils is also well worth a visit.
