10/10 Hotel stay

We had an amazing stay in this hotel.Highly recommend it. From check in to check out all the staff were fabulous. Have to thank Raquel at front desk especially for organising bikes and scooter hire so efficiently.Nothing was a hassel for her.Teresa in the bar was so kind and lovely too.The rooms were perfect and the food was 10/10 huge variety,and very tasty,another bonus was the bustop was literally outside the side entrance to the hotel,you open the door and you are the bustop for Cambrills and Salou.Will be back to this hotel.

TripAdvisor Review H10 Cambrils Playa Great family holiday wed happily return Weve just returned from a 7-night family holiday at H10 Cambrils Playa and overall had a really enjoyable stay. This was our second time visiting the Cambrils area, and we would happily return again. We stayed in a standard double room with an extra bed for our child, not poolside. The room was slightly on the small side for three people, but it was perfectly sufficient for what we needed. It was always kept very clean, and the air conditioning was excellent particularly important with temperatures in the mid-30s most days! The shower was also excellent, with really good water pressure. There was a good selection of toiletries provided, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toothbrush and toothpaste, a comb and more. We booked half board but decided to swap our evening meals for lunch, which the hotel allows you to do. One thing to note is that this can only be done for the duration of your stay rather than on individual days. The food was good, although Id describe the selection as fairly limited. It was more than sufficient for breakfast and lunch, and we were actually pleased that we chose to eat out in the evenings as I think we would have found the evening selection a little repetitive. However, we have come from large all-inclusive Turkey holidays in the last couple of years where you are spoilt for choice - so this is more about our expectations and recent experiences than anything. The hotels credit system for charging drinks and snacks to your room was really easy to use, although you can also simply use contactless if you prefer. The location is excellent if you want to be close to the beach. The beach is literally right outside the hotel, with beautiful white sand and very clean water and surroundings. There arent loads of restaurants immediately around the hotel, although there is a very good Italian restaurant just a couple of minutes walk away. The bus stop directly outside the hotel is a real bonus, with regular buses into Cambrils and Salou roughly every 1015 minutes. A single journey was 2.20 per person, making it a really easy and inexpensive way to get around. The evening entertainment was fairly limited and seemed more geared towards younger children. That said, we were usually out exploring Cambrils in the evenings anyway, so it wasnt a major issue for us. One thing that really surprised us was the difference between some of the recent reviews and our actual experience regarding sunbeds. We had read reviews describing a real bun fight for sunbeds and people getting up at 67am to reserve them. We absolutely did not experience this. We are naturally early risers, but there was certainly no need for a dawn dash. The photos Ive attached were taken at around 9:30am, with plenty of sunbeds still available. In fact, the pool area didnt really start filling up until around 1011am, which in our experience is pretty good compared with many Spanish hotels. Finally, the staff were all friendly and helpful, and their English was very good. They even tolerated my extremely limited Spanish, which basically extended to ordering a coffee or a beer! We also took a day trip to Barcelona which was very straight forward. Direct train from Cambrils to Barcelona-Sants (1.5 hrs each way). Train cost was 25 return per person with a taxi to/from the hotel to Cambrils station costing 20 each way. Overall, we had a great family holiday. Its a relaxed hotel in a fantastic location, right by a lovely beach and with easy access to both Cambrils and Salou. It may not have the biggest selection of food or the most extensive evening entertainment, but for us these werent major issues. We really enjoyed our stay and, having now visited the Cambrils area twice, would happily come back again.

Great for food allergies

We stayed for 5 nights at the start of June and it was our first 'sun holiday' as a family (2 adults, 2 teens). The reason we have avoided these holidays is because we have food allergies- nuts and seeds. This stay was amazing. The whole trip was made so easy. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful. The bar and restaurant staff were very nice and tidied after everyone very quickly. The animation team were great fun - the aqua-aerobics was a laugh. The rooms were kept very clean. There are bus stops right outside going to Cambrils one way, and Salou/ Tarragona the other, although there is a bike/ walking path along the beach, about 150m from hotel that you can take to both Cambrils and Salou. The beach is gorgeous but so was the hotel pool. There are restaurants nearby and a shop selling bus tickets. The best part, and the reason we'd go back again, is that we had included dinner in our stay and they were brilliant. Each morning and night, the chef met us and went through each dish to tell us what contained nuts and seeds. If you've ever had to manage food allergies you'll appreciate how much that helps. The food itself was delicious. All this meant we could relax properly and enjoy our holiday. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful hotel with professional staff

We stayed here for 10 nights & booked directly with the hotel. We paid the supplement for the pool view room & it was worth it. The room was large with a huge king size bed which was very comfy & there was an additional single bed. We had a fridge to keep drinks cool. The housekeeping service was very good & towels for your room were replenished as required . I requested a kettle & it was delivered to my room in 5 minutes. The bathroom was well equipped & a large shower area. The lobby areas & bar were impressive. The staff on reception were very helpful. We just had the breakfast service as we like to eat out at different places but there was plenty of choice & staff regularly replenished the displays. We only saw a small amount of the animation as were out every night but what we saw was good & they worked hard in the day to get people involved. Plenty of sunbeds & a big pool with clear water - as a swimmer it was one of the best I have swum in. The location of the hotel is Vilafortuny. The beautiful beach is a 3 minute stroll away & is part of the quieter section of beach. There is an excellent beach cabana for lunch (La Mariteca) & some lovely bars & restaurants in walking distance ( on the flat around 15 minutes). The bus stop to get into Cambrils is right outside the pool back door & the shop to buy your bus pass next door to the hotel with a small supermarket. To walk to Cambrils along the promenade takes around 50 mins - the bus 4 mins & costs 0.67 with the card. The bus service was great to be able to explore the surrounding areas. Quite frankly this is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
