A great hotel, would happily go there again

Read a few reviews before travelling that made me a bit concerned. All i can say is what a great place. Stayed in block 9 and had a really nice room. Not far from beach. The complex is big but not an issue at all. Stayed with my daughter. Delt a safe place and all staff were usual Dominican friendly (2nd time in the country).
Good food, good pools and beach. I could see areas where improvement is due in the hotel and rooms but nothing that spoiled anything for us.
I suppose i could have just been lucky with my room as i did hear some people advising of aircon issues but no problems for us. Food wise we tried all the restaurants and the only one i didnt enjoy was the Italian one. The restaurant looks great but the food was average and not as good as the main buffet.
Japanese and steak restaurants really nice and there is no limit on amount of times you can use them.
Only one day did i see the seaweed issues people have mentioned. Ok so its a natural occurance and the hotel clean it up, but we are talking about a line of seaweed you just step over and get on with what you were wanting to do. Just don't get what the comments were for but guess everyone has their own thoughts.
100% we had a great time there and would happily go there again. I would certainly say its better as a family holiday place than paying to upgrade to adults only side. If you want an adults only holiday you are not far enough away from kids and families and the pools on the family side are much better. Personal opinion from how i would feel if i had gone without kids
I would definitely recommend block 9 as it is close to beach and quite peaceful compered to rooms near main pool

We came to Ocean El Faro for our wedding. We were amazed at how far above and beyond the team at Ocean El Faro had gone for us.
The wedding coordinator team of Hilda and Stephanie made our dream wedding come true. Every little detail was covered. I would recommend anyone get married there.
Our butler Juan made sure we well accommodated from a perfect room, to ensuring restaurant bookings were promptly made and ensuring our overall experience was over the top.
We quite enjoyed Mike's coffee for our daily beverage. The atmosphere there was impeccable.

The best Mojitos ever by Luis in the piano bar at H10 Punta Cana. Very friendly and the Mocktails are great too for my 9 yr old daughter. Service very good, so attentive and never miss the attention to detail.

Amazing experience

This resort was so amazing children friendly. Me and my family had a awesome time, the staff was friendly check in was quick and easy. The buffet was a 8/10 my little one went for pizza mostly every day but it was good to me. I love how the staff cleans up around the resort daily. The restaurant stake house was awesome I can eat that every night of my stay, in room dining wasn't so bad. Yes I will be back at this resort.
