H10 Puerta de Alcalá, Madrid

This is a 4-star hotel masquerading as a 5-star hotel. I got top notch service here and couldn't wait to rave about it here. We missed our flight and had to find a place stat to call home for one night until we could head back home. We were exhausted and frustrated. They had 1 family room left for us and we made our way there. Our room wasn't ready, so they offered a discount for us to wait in their restaurant. We finally had a chance to relax and stay there for hours! Once I mentioned to them that the room number they gave me matched my son's birthday (which was in a few days), they dropped off a beautiful birthday celebration cake and beverages for us - it was SO nice of them. A very nice touch. And, I had a package I needed to send out before I left the country. It was a weekend and none of the local post offices were open. The front desk did not hesitate to help: they found me a box and put me in touch with a local courier that would handle the shipment for me. This hotel went above and beyond to provide service. It is modern and clean and in the best possible neighborhood. I would love to come stay here again for a longer sojourn!

The staff was very helpful and friendly especially the front desk staff. Accommodations were clean and orderly and vey comfortable. We enjoyed eating at the rooftop restaurant. Drinks and food were very tasty. We had an excellent time here in Madrid.

We spent a few days at this hotel and had a delightful and comfortable experience. It is a very cute boutique hotel. We were quite impressed and thought it good value for money. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The rooms, whilst small, were very clean, well laid out and included most amenities. The view from our room, whilst not over the park, was still lovely and there was a window so we could get fresh air. The location was even better than expected. We loved having the Parque del Retiro on the doorstep (perfect for morning runs) and the barrio of Salamanca was so pretty, trendy and lively with many options for cafes, bars, restaurants and of course the best shops. We found it easy to walk from the hotel to the main sites but it was helpful that the metro is 2 minutes away. There are also buses and it is easy to get a taxi. The highlight was the rooftop bar which was bigger than it appeared in the photos. It has a superb view over the city and was a really lovely spot. Only issue was that our key cards kept being deactivated. We were told this occurs when kept next to a phone or credit card. It would be great if the hotel can fix this, or at least explain this at check in. We had not stayed at a H10 hotel before, but will now look out for them. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

Nice hotel near Retiro park, and walkable to restaurants and the city center. Rooms are clean, quiet and modern, with comfortable beds. Service is friendly and welcoming. Would recommend this hotel for anyone staying a few nights in Madrid.
