Beautiful and special place

We recently enjoyed a six night stay at The One hotel in central Lisbon. The reason for selecting this accommodation, in addition to its location and excellent reviews, was that I had previously stayed at another hotel in the same group and had really appreciated the features and quality of that property. The One did not disappoint. The hotel is certainly not inexpensive but I truly believe that its offering justifies a premium. It is perfectly located in a quiet side street, within a nice area of the city close to a number of main squares, plenty of shopping and walkable to the waterfront and the other main regions of the city. The hotel is constructed within a former palace and the renovation is both sympathetic and visually stunning. The hotel is built on five levels, one with a beautiful garden/outdoor restaurant and another offering a small pool, smart sunbathing area and pool bar. It is boutique in style and there are lots of extras that help it stand out including a glass of the local and exceedingly good sparkling wine on arrival and chocolates at checkout. Given the history of the building, there are a variety of rooms on offer - we had hoped to book a room with some outdoor space but the hotel was virtually at capacity when we stayed. However, this was not an issue as our room was spacious, attractive and with a large comfy bed. We had everything we needed to be extremely comfortable. All the staff members that we met were warm and helpful with real personality which meant that the hotel did not have a faceless corporate feel. We made great use of the garden - a real rarity in the centre of a bustling city. We had breakfast outside in the garden each morning which was a highlight of the day. Along with full table service which made us feel totally spoiled, the breakfast itself was extensive and delicious. My husband and I are both plant based and there was a wide range of options from which we could choose. We also used the garden as a respite from the busy city - there were many comfortable chairs available together with an all day drinks and food service. In the evenings, when we returned to the hotel after dinner, the garden transformed into a gorgeous fairy lit social space where we enjoyed premium drinks, attentive and engaging service and a cooling breeze. We also used the well equipped gym at the hotel on a daily basis daily (complimentary cereal bars were provided). We could not have enjoyed our stay at The One any more. It is a beautiful and special place where guests are treated like friends and everything is authentic and luxurious. I highly recommend the hotel for a city visit to beautiful Lisbon

We organized a family lunch and couldn't have been more satisfied! The space is wonderful and the team was absolutely incredible, providing us with a very beautiful and special day. The lunch was delicious and the entire team was extremely attentive, making sure to meet all our requests and ensure everything went as smoothly as possible. We thank the entire team for the professionalism, friendliness, and dedication. It was a fantastic experience, which we recommend without hesitation!

Outstanding Performance
