Great hotel but needs some polishing. Worth visiting

H10 Lanzarote Gardens
First impression a good hotel but needs polishing, hence the 4.5 stars.
Last-minute family holiday to Lanzarote with daughter, 4 years.
Arrived late morning to the hotel; first thought was the reception area and lobby bar need modernising, but if prioritising funds, I would spend them elsewhere, which presumably the hotel did, as the rooms were clean and modern-ish, pool and restaurant area well maintained.
Check-in was prompt, quick, and easy with credit card registration for any misc. purchases, and our room was ready, staying in a family suite which has a separate living area with a sofa bed and a mini kitchenette with a fridge, sink, kettle, and coffee maker whilst we booked all inclusive; good touch to wash bits up, etc., and if travelling with a young family, this would be a big advantage.
The hotel is made up of blocks of suites around the property perimeter with the pools and restaurant in the middle.
Pool bar/snacks: you can have drinks on your all-inclusive package from the bar throughout the day along with some basic snacks, nachos, chips, burgers, etc., which were okay.
Service here was mixed; often slow but was no real issue; appeared to be a classic holidaymaker area. The area overnight, however, was not cleaned by the night staff, just left for the morning, which when up for breakfast early was a sight!
Pool -
Slippery floor around it, but with care isnt an issue; the gradient of the main pool is good with a splash/toddler section and then a slightly deeper bit with slides makes it easier to play in the pool and also relax due to the water depth. Good selection of slides for the kids. Pool was clean and well maintained; had on most days three lifeguards. And the hotel provides one set of clean towels, but changes are 1 per towel. Guess you could balcony dry them. Seems to be plenty of sunbed availability.
The pool and sunbed area was cleaned daily, but often bits of crockery /glasses were missed again. No real issue for us, just moved them. On a positive note, the hotel staff moved towels off sunbeds not in use. There are clear signs and advice not to rudely or selfishly reserve sunbeds, which is great.
The pool toilets need cleaning out more frequently during the day as the floor gets very wet
There is a small play park for kids at the side of the pool, which whilst small is ok. This was attached to one of the three kids clubs, which were categorised into ages: baby / toddler up to five, then a junior club. These were staffed with a good ratio of children to supervised staff,
Hotel has daily entertainment provided by an in-house team that provides a timetable of activities.
Food
Breakfast
Good selection of both cooked and cold foods: yoghurts, salad, and cooked meats along with the usual stuff. Only one issue: a few mouldy oranges, which was a shame as everything was ok
Lunch
Good selection of lighter food, fresh Mediterranean-style salads, etc., a cooked option, pizza, and the usual stuff. The selection was good and finished to a decent standard considering its an all-inclusive buffet.
Dinner: We tried to mainly go for the 18:30 opening as this is later than we would usually eat with our daughter. The restaurant capacity was ok at this time, but when we left, it was chaos.
Serving staff were very polite as were everyone, no grumbles with attitude but very slow and clearing tables even if they do them at all between courses.
Check out was prompt we had a late morning flight and was able to store our luggage briefly however the hotel does offer long term storage and changing facilities for those guests needing rooms or a place for an evening flight. Not sure if this is a charge or not.
Overall great holiday

Great family hotel
Travellingtwinnies
Faultless from start to finish.
Everything is spotlessly clean, the entertainment team clearly enjoy what they do & the staff are lovely.
Food theme changes daily and theres lots of variety. Theres a great salad bar so also great for vegans/vegetarians. Everything is very fresh. The food area is kept exceptionally clean with spills etc cleared up straight away and everything is replenished regularly.
The kids disco was ok to kill a bit of time and the kids enjoyed it.
The evening entertainment was fun & varied & kept kids and adults entertained.
Theres a small football pitch which the kids loved & was great for meaning friends.
The pirate ship play area is fun for kids up to about 8 if they enjoy imaginative play.
We will definitely revisit & highly recommend.

Family holiday

Me, my partner & our 2 kids (7&3) just got back lastnight and I honestly want to book again already! This was by far the best family holiday weve had. Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, and everything is right on your doorstep. The animation team were unbelievable. There from 8/9/10am until 10/11pm with so many different activities and shows. Pools were great, cold but thats to be expected. Breakfast was always fresh and nice! We only did breakfast in our package so cant comment on other meal times. I will say something we did notice was we had to pay for all our drinks in the complex as we werent all inclusive and we were a bit disheartened to realise we werent getting branded spirits even though we were paying 5+ a drink. The cleaners could also be a lot more thorough in the rooms. We had a family suite and every day I cleaned the bathroom (toilet, mirror & shower), living area tables and floors myself as they werent up to standard at all. Everything else was 10/10 though and I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic holiday!

We have just returned from a 7 day stay and we had the best time! The location is excellent - shops and supermarket opposite the hotel and the beach a 5 minute stroll away.
The rooms are incredibly spacious and clean - the concealed kitchenette is a great touch as we like to have drinks and snacks in the room for our children.
I would suggest to pay extra for a pool view as we didnt and had a view of the playground at the back of the hotel - it didnt overly bother us but the hotel grounds and pool area are so beautiful, it wouldve been a fantastic view!
The animation team are fantastic, the mini disco and evening entertainment are brilliant - our youngest daughter was fascinated with Daisy, the mascot (and all the merch that came with it!).
There is also crazy golf and the aquarium a 5 minute walk away if you fancy getting out for a few hours (we also did the submarine safari trip and went to the water park, both of which were fabulous).
In short, we had a wonderful holiday!
