Good, great outside space, nice inside, food could be better

ok, nice hotel, there's a couple of issues but over very nice
The location is good, on the natural lava cliffs, great views, nice beaches just a short wander away, the sound of the sea is ever preasant and calming as you are so close
There's a small Spar, a hiperdino, pizza place, a couple of tour shops and car hire, as well as a scuba dive lace not far if you need anything
The 500 bus nearby (stops both above and below the hotel) goes into Santa Cruz pretty often, trip is 1.5 Euros each way, and drops you at the edge of the main town
Hotel itself nice and clean, the pools are except, the smaller pool is heated, the other 2 aren't but dont need to be the temp was just right in September, you get 2 towels tickets you can exchange each day, the beds are pretty comfy and quite new, some umbrellas a bit damaged so you have to maybe 'swap' but they often fail as we know so not a big issue we always found a decent one, pool opens at 9am and wasn't busy when we ere there at that time, no rush for the beds!! by mid afternoon seems to get busier, not sure if people here late risers or off trekking but it never got really packed, must say not much for the little ones ( dont have any but noticed the inflatable slides etc only came out one day - not a problem for us!)
Rooms nice, little dated but well cleaned pretty much every day, no issues with any of the facilities within, hairdryer etc supplied, plenty of coat hangers, charging points, TV had limited channels and often na choppy (digital) reception and the wifi was no good but didnt need it (notices of apologies for wifi around the hotel apparently they are working on it)
Main areas all good, the main foyer bright and clean, the large atrium is impressive, the eating and dining areas al clean and well looked after, toilets pretty good
Food, the only real bug-bear here, was ok but not good, a strange mix sometimes and the 'Chinese' themed night consisted of very little choice, the salad/ fresh fruit/bread / cheese/ ice cream and cake areas all pretty good and well stocked, the grill area was a mixed bag, sometime very good (the lamb and chicken spot on!) sometimes seafood which im not a fan of so can't comment on that it wouldn't be fair, but the main meals very hit and miss and sometimes a little odd to my tastes, I do like to try local food and not just head to the 'burger and chips' but I still found the selection a little wanting and repetitive, I know sometimes you say that when you're spoilt for choice and pick the same thing night after night (the contant buffet curse!) but this time I did find it a bot hard to get variety some nights
Breakfast, good o the whole, fresh fried eggs, bacon, those little hot dog sausages for some reason but there you go, plenty of bread/toast/coffee and juice to fuel me, some cereal section though lacking in variety on fruit to add sometimes (always prunes, dates etc) but brekkie wasn't a hard choice to make unlike dinner later on
Entertainment, one act per night, ok, finding info on who/what was a little hard, you tended to get a vague poster in the lifts and that was it, some nights none but I can prefer that so not a problem for me but others wanting more of a nightlife may struggle
Staff, all very good, friendly, helpful, always talk to you and no issues (sometimes you get the grumpy or to busy one) but none of that here, some staff quite funny and seemed to enjoy working there (not saying they shouldn't but you know long hours and constant stream of tourists would wear me down and show cracks in my false smile!) but no all good and seemed genuinely happy!
So in summary: Good, clean, pools and outside area great, location good, rooms good, view great, location good (very short transfer from airport!!) Food is only place it needs improvement and I say that as someone who will leat anything (except seafood!) and if you wanted evening entertainment (I dont so...) yeah I'd give it 3.5 / 4 stars

Week in the sun

Amazing hotel and lovely location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.
Pools are great, no sunbed wars at all.
Meals were good from AI restaurant.
Drinks are branded spirits, liquer coffe, cocktails, all included in the AI. We had a suite on the newer side of the hotel which was lovely.

A Truly Authentic and Wonderful Stay at H10 Taburiente Playa
From the moment we arrived for our 14-night holiday, we felt a sense of calm and genuine cultural immersion at the H10 Taburiente Playa. As a UK family, we instantly appreciated being in the minority, surrounded by Spanish guests from the mainland and other Canary Islands. This created a truly authentic atmosphere that allowed us to feel like we were truly experiencing another culture, not just another tourist resort.
The hotel served as a fantastic base camp for our young family to explore the stunning island of La Palma with our hire car. The staff's dedication and warmth were a consistent highlight of our trip. They are all incredibly hard-working, yet they always served with a smile, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We were particularly grateful for the exceptional service from Juan, Pedro, Daniel, David, and Yessica, who consistently went the extra mile to make our stay pleasant and memorable.
Mealtime was a delight, with the delicious food and a wide variety of options. Even our picky small children were soon trying something new and delicious dailya testament to the quality and appeal of the menu. The hotel also kept us and the kids entertained with regular daytime activities, including pool foam parties and inflatable slides, which were a fun and welcome touch.
Beyond the hotel, we explored some of the island's most beautiful spots. We were captivated by the breathtaking capital, Santa Cruz, and the amazing views from Mirador el Time. A day trip to the sea pools at Charco Azul was fabulous, and we found the facility at Volcán San Antonio to be an incredible way to learn about the island's volcanic history.
A special and unexpected highlight for our football-mad son was the II TORNEO U19 BONITA Cantepro tournament. It was a fantastic experience to watch some amazing football and to have many of the players staying at our hotel.
In all, we absolutely loved our holiday. We're already planning our return and now completely understand why La Palma is affectionately known as "Isla Bonita."

Relaxing 10 days

This was our very first visit to La Palma and the H10 Taburiente Playa, it did not disappoint. We appeared to be the only British couple there but the reception staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Our room (double with sea view) was comfortable, clean, shower/bathroom perfect. Restaurant clean, friendly staff and a wide variety of food each day. Pool bar again clean and staff pleasant. Pool areas clean and had plenty of sunbeds not enough parasols though. The lobby bar was really nice and the barman was lovely and friendly, shame it was only open 8am until 12 noon. We would definitely return. Great value for money.
