Very special place
Amanda B
Just returned from this hotel after a week long holiday with my partner. The hotel is lovely with friendly helpful staff. We were half board and were really pleased with the food options. The food is very Spanish and authentic. There was a different fresh fish cooked each night along with a meat, ie pork chops, lamb etc. Both freshly cooked on the grill. Alongside this was a roast meat each day. Plenty of choice of salads, cheeses etc. The other options available were mainly hot items like lasagne, stews etc. This is not a kids meal type of place. No nuggets burgers etc. The breakfast had plenty of choices too. Omelette made fresh, although you have to prepare any fillings you want yourself. Lots of fruit, pasties and breads available. We loved the authentic nature of the hotel. The island mainly caters to the Spanish visitors it receives which is a refreshing change from the usual Canary islands.
Rooms are clean and bright. Housekeeping is good and the nightly visit with chocolates is a lovely gesture. The pool areas are great. No rush for sunbeds always plenty to be had. Nobody seems to reserve them and leave them empty all day like we've seen in other places. The pool bar does an excellent lunchtime menu if you're not all inclusive. 4.5 for a toasties with salad and chips. Water is free from dispenser for everyone. We expected to eat out sometimes but the food was so good we didn't. We only spent 200 on drinks and lunches which for 2 of us I thought was reasonable, especially as the football was on. The island is beautiful and we would recommend booking trips early as they fill up quickly. We hired a car from the desk in the hotel lobby. It was simple to do. We drove round the entire island in a day but feel a trip would have allowed us to see the island better. There are so many hairpin bends and speed limit changes there is little opportunity to look at scenery as you drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and will definitely return.

Premium Drinks, Sea Views Galore

Beautiful hotel with large comfortable rooms and daily cleaning. Perfect spot with plenty of sea views from the pool, many bars and large restaurant. Entertainment provided every evening with both bars serving premium drinks in the All Inclusive option including brands like Malibu, Aperol and bottled soft drinks including Coca Cola and Fanta. Entertainment bar was table service too and the Cocktails all handmade and not ready pour stuff. Lovely 5 minute walk to the small town with a few cafe bars and shops and would recommend talking the 500 Bus line to Santa Cruz which took 12 minutes. A great town with some lovely sights, beautiful buildings and if you need onea McDs!
The only reason Ive marked the hotel a 4 rather than 5 was the food. Not masses of choice and mainly catering for Spanish guests and sadly it was always cold. We tried accessing as soon as they opened some days and the food was generally still only just warm which is such a shame as the staff are brilliant and the restaurant sparkling clean. It was also very hectic especially at breakfast time, we are used to All Inclusive buffets and understand these can be a free for all but this was another level, it felt quite stressful at times.
BUT we would go again! The pools are beautiful, plenty of sunbeds, towels provided and lifeguard on every day. Pool bar staff were so quick and queues when any, went very quickly.
I would say, dont let the food comments put you off as it was height of season so I am sure this differs and the food in the local bars was lovely so you do have other options if you need a change of scenery.
All in all, a great hotel and a lovely stay.

Lovely low key chilled holiday
tripaddy
This was a great hotel, butthe reviews are correct. Food isnt brilliant, pool bar food is lovely; but only open until 3. Evening meals - salads were great and the cakes were amazing, just the rest. Raw chicken, and yes the food was lukewarm and they did replenish all the time, queues for drinks at bars but yes I would return. We were privilege all inclusive, but I would return on a bed and breakfast basis with privilege included as they had nicer rooms and a small room with loungers and drinks snacks included. Had lots of email correspondence before I went and can honestly say they replied quickly each time and even phoned a mobility shop for me to hire scooter for my mother, so 11/10 there! Restaurants around lovely, especially La pulpa? near the end of the beach, 10
Minute Stroll. Not as quiet as we had expected, more bars and restaurants but very low key, chilled, which we appreciated.
Easy bus to Santa Cruz, or taxi 12 , which is a beautiful place for a wander and a shop, will definitely return, so even though food wasnt great, it was excellent value for money. Jet 2 rep was fantastic, even the security staff in airport were smiling, never seen than before! Lovely Island, lovely people.

A Truly Authentic and Wonderful Stay at H10 Taburiente Playa
From the moment we arrived for our 14-night holiday, we felt a sense of calm and genuine cultural immersion at the H10 Taburiente Playa. As a UK family, we instantly appreciated being in the minority, surrounded by Spanish guests from the mainland and other Canary Islands. This created a truly authentic atmosphere that allowed us to feel like we were truly experiencing another culture, not just another tourist resort.
The hotel served as a fantastic base camp for our young family to explore the stunning island of La Palma with our hire car. The staff's dedication and warmth were a consistent highlight of our trip. They are all incredibly hard-working, yet they always served with a smile, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We were particularly grateful for the exceptional service from Juan, Pedro, Daniel, David, and Yessica, who consistently went the extra mile to make our stay pleasant and memorable.
Mealtime was a delight, with the delicious food and a wide variety of options. Even our picky small children were soon trying something new and delicious dailya testament to the quality and appeal of the menu. The hotel also kept us and the kids entertained with regular daytime activities, including pool foam parties and inflatable slides, which were a fun and welcome touch.
Beyond the hotel, we explored some of the island's most beautiful spots. We were captivated by the breathtaking capital, Santa Cruz, and the amazing views from Mirador el Time. A day trip to the sea pools at Charco Azul was fabulous, and we found the facility at Volcán San Antonio to be an incredible way to learn about the island's volcanic history.
A special and unexpected highlight for our football-mad son was the II TORNEO U19 BONITA Cantepro tournament. It was a fantastic experience to watch some amazing football and to have many of the players staying at our hotel.
In all, we absolutely loved our holiday. We're already planning our return and now completely understand why La Palma is affectionately known as "Isla Bonita."
