Not what I expected

The room is very dated and very basic, the walls are extremely thin! I heard both sides using the bathrooms and one of them being poorly didnt help for a nice wake up early hours. They are nothing like what it appears on the pictures. We paid for a sea view like it shows and was disappointed as it was a side view and the majority of the rooms have this. The beds are comfy and the staff are lovely but I wouldnt say this is a 4star hotel. It was okay and the pool area was nice with the view but the loungers were old and worn.
Water is free in the morning, the rest of the day they charge you to fill a bottle up from a filter machine. I think this should be given freely and waters provided in the room as a starter when you arrive.
We didnt go all inclusive as we knew weve be venturing out and Im glad I didnt as it would have cost 140 extra for 4 nights and it only cost 50 for our drinks which is the only difference as not everything on the drinks menu is included in the cost. So basically it would have been for a lunch meal as we were half board and a waste of money. Pop to the shop and get a bottle of honey rum!
The area is very nice but nothing around really. We hired a car so we were okay as the island itself has so much more to see than hotel walls.

New experience in La Palma

Please do not listen to the negative reviews this hotel is fabulous. The staff are an absolute credit to the H10 brand and go out of their way for the guests. The food is what you expect at any 4 star yes it could be hotter but the choice is second to none. They cater for all nationalities which Im sure is challenging but they embrace it. The rooms are a little dated but kept spotless and towels changed every day if required. The drinks are all branded and are served with a smile and in a full sized glass. The all inclusive package is such great value compared to the difference between half board prices. La Palma is beautiful and stole our hearts but we dont want to shout about it too loudly in case it turns into another Tenerife, heaven forbid The locals welcomed us and helped us when we needed information about buses etc. please. Will definitely return.

Great location....little village with shops, beach very close by,next to the sea and very close to airport. Lovely calm atmosphere. Booked deluxe room and it was super..... fabulous sea and airport view. Large shower, coffee maker,lounge,bathrobes and slippers. Well worth the price paid. Drinks all known brands and nice touch, wine served at your dining table.
