H10 Playa Meloneras Horizons Collection, Gran Canaria

Really nice hotel, every corner you turn is beautiful and peaceful. Staff are all very nice, professional and friendly. Lovely clean spacious rooms. Bar and pool areas are really nice and drinks are reasonable priced. We did privilege which was well worth the extra as we had access to the exclusive pool with the lounge with free drinks and snacks 10- 8pm. The hotel was being upgraded while we were there so it was quieter and a part of the hotel closed off but this didnt affect our holiday. The buffet restaurant had been changed to an outside location as this was being upgraded- food probably wasnt a great representation of the hotel as they adapted to this. Food was limited, monotonous and only just warm at best. We did have access to onsite restaurants as we were privilege and we found these good quality. Teppanyaki restaurant wasnt the best we have been to but the staff were very nice and attentive, others we have been to was more of a show and this lacked this element. The evening shows Tina, iL Divo, Queen/Dukes band and ABBA were all fantastic. We also loved the kahoot quiz which was good fun and loved the tech involved using our phones. This is a lovely relaxing hotel in a great location as you can walk to Meloneras centre or taxi around for around 4. Great wee onsite shop which is more reasonable than other hotel shops we have been to. There is also local mini markets, a few bars and restaurants within walking distance across from hotel which are worth a visit. Loved the wrist band which gave us access to room and is used to charge drinks and meals to room. Minor negatives: -Watch out for hidden mini bar expenses - it is on app somewhere but not clearly displayed In room. We thought this was complimentary so it was absolutely our mistake for not checking but we were charged 35 for 4 bottles of pop, 4 bottles water and one packet of, haribos,crisps and nuts all left in fridge on arrival. -Tea and coffee in room not replenished daily. -We were also refused a drink order at the bar because we passed the 300 limit on room charges - we sorted this quickly but it was really embarrassing as we werent informed of this limit or even sent a message to tell us we were approaching the limit.

Another fantastic holiday at this wonderful hotel the reception staff are so welcoming, special thanks to Kathleen and Borja the food service was amazing and the refurbishment didn't affect us at all special thanks to all the wonderful bar staff you all know who you are!every thing about this hotel is 5 star, the feeling is that of a second home atmosphere, second visit this year, shout out to kata house keeping, fantastic job I really believe this hotel is such a happy place, and when complete will be 5 star plus

I would definitely recommend staying at this resort. The hotel is in a fantastic location with amazing facilities, especially in the privilege areas (easily worth the extra money)! Everywhere is very clean and I believe it is great value for money too. There is plenty of staff and they are all very helpful. Saulo especially stood out with his customer service, making sure our experience was the best it could possibly be. He was very kind and showed us all the areas of the resort. All round I am very happy with our stay and will be back in the future

Absolutely loved this hotel. We are lucky enough to have travelled the world many times. We usually choose a hotel at least in the top 10 of TripAdvisor if not top 5. But we liked the look of this one and was mixed reviews here and on Google. We decided to go for it and try it for ourselves.....we have now popped it on our top 5 hotels ever! We decided to upgrade to the privilege level before we arrived and I'm so glad we did. We loved the privilege infinity pool, it was super peaceful. Brilliant you can help yourself to drinks. As Privilege you can eat all your meals in the Al La Carte restaurants.... I have to say this was some of the nicest food we have eaten (not far off cruise ship level food) We favoured La Brassiere on an evening and the service was great, the staff really do look after you. Lunch in the Naturalia was in a really nice setting and again the staff are brilliant. The Tropical chill out bar for sunset is very nice. We loved the walk to Meloneras and to the dunes in a morning for sunrise, it wasn't that far we probably reached the shops in around 10 minutes along the promenade. The staff all stop and say hello which is lovely. The privilege rooms are very nice we stayed on level 5 over looking the privilege pool with a beautiful sea view. My only criticism would be .... the floors don't get swept/hoovered and started to get a bit dusty/sandy towards the end of our stay. We were really sad to leave last night and can't wait to return.
