Very relaxing and enjoyable hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our 3rd time in March and it dosent disappoint. Weve been given the same room overlooking the pool and sea which is always clean and tidy.
The whole team of staff are always polite and very helpful.
I know people moan about the food but for us we've never had a problem in the Buffet or at the Pool Bar.
It is in a very quiet part but for us as All Inclusive it suits us.
Weve always met lovely people too.
The buses are very reliable and cheap too.
Can't wait to go back next year!

Very nice hotel, relaxing and chilled.
Food ok, without being spectacular, drinks selection very good.
Decent entertainment day and night.
Found all staff to be nice, special mention for Celia who sorted a minor problem with minimum fuss.
If you want a chilled place to sit / lay, eat and drink and relax I would recommend.
The privilege area is a little pretentious ( different area to eat and drink, but same stuff?) tho the outside area is nice.
Note- the la carte restaurant only available if you are there 7 nights on ai we were only 5 days and as such not allowed!?!
But as mentioned Celia did help rectify the disappointment.

Had a great week at the H10 Costa Mogan. I have to admit I was a bit anxious after some of the reviews, but it was fabulous and Ive booked to go back in February.
I asked in advance for a high floor and we were given room 4037 which had lovely views of the pool and the sea. It is literally on a dark sand beach where sunbeds can be reserved for 3.50.
We only stayed b&b because I like to go out and about in the day and try different places/restaurants in the evening, but the breakfast offering was very good. My sister particularly enjoyed the omelettes!
Our room was cleaned every day and our towels replaced and beds changed despite us only being there for a week.
The staff were friendly and I didnt encounter any queuing at the pool bar or much of a wait in an evening either. We didnt really see much of the entertainment but did catch a Beatles tribute who were very good.
You can get to Puerto de Mogan in about 10 minutes in a taxi for around 17 and to Amadores in 5 for 7. We also walked along the beach to Amadores which is about a mile - easier if its low tide as less rock scrambling required!!
Finally I have to mention Alberto on reception. All the reception team were nice enough but Alberto went the extra mile, even recommending to us a restaurant in Puerto de Mogan which was so good we went back for lunch.
As an H10 regular (and Grand Class member) there were a couple of little quirks - for example a note saying I couldnt charge anything else to the room as I was nearing 100 limit; fortunately I saw that note before I was embarrassed at the bar. I think this could be better publicised for b&b guests (and I also didnt get any points when I settled up). I also paid 35 for a late check out which Grand Class members generally get for free (I certainly never pay the fees in Lanzarote) but neither of these things affected our stay.
I would say there isnt much for children here (and think it might be going adults only in the near future) but as someone who wanted to get away from it all for a week in a new place, this hotel really hit the spot for me and neither of us wanted to leave!

Nice Hotel but ugly reception service!

Just back from H10 Costa Morgan. All in all a nice place. As a mature couple we did not want a busy area and for us the quietness of the location worked well. As has been said there are many buses and taxis to take you to lively towns very close by if you seek a bit more action. The beach although not particularly smart was comfortable and very close to the hotel, you could hire sunbeds/parasols if required. The sea is lovely and big waves crash onto the beach. We had a suite which was comfortable but had a few issues. Personally we did not like the bathroom being incorporated into the bedroom area, especially as the sliding door to the loo did not close properly because of shoddy workmanship.
Now onto the food! The food in the main restaurant is very good, nice variety and the staff work hard. However beware of the only other eating place in the hotel, built up as a 'special experience' Costa Fusion. This is a pathetic attempt at fine dining which is a massive disappointment. So bad we had to walk out. The waiter forgot our two small first courses, we then decided to order a bottle of wine to try and improve the dining experience but where then served with a kind of croquet that was still frozen in the middle! That was the final straw, we told the waiter we were leaving and he told us he would not charge us for the wine. We left.
We stayed 9 days and are considering a return as the quieter ambience of the hotel suited us. Sadly on our day of departure a member of the reception team, Mr Christian, was very unfriendly and unhelpful to us. He produced the bill for the wine we had at the Costa Fusion restaurant and accused us of not for paying it , as if we were thieves, when it had in fact been offered to us due to the dreadful experience we had there. Our departure was not until half past six and we wanted to pay for a late checkout. He only offered us a two hour extension and that was done in a most unfriendly manner which of course we had to pay for! The final straw was when Mr Christian advised us that we would have to pay for our lunch on the day of our departure? We were fully inclusive and stayed 9 nights, having only arrived at midnight of our first day it hardly seemed correct that we were to be charged for lunch?
I would advise anyone thinking of staying at Costa Morgan to confirm the eating arrangements on the last day, as this hotel may not be as 'inclusive' and friendly as you think! Good luck!
