H10 Tindaya, Fuerteventura

Perfect location for a quiet holiday, food delicious and fresh, staff helpful and friendly, hotel very clean spot on

overall, a 4-star experience, at best...friendly staff [with one very notable exception]...clean room...perfectly acceptable bathroom...food was good and plentiful [but bacon at breakfast was severely under-cooked]...easy to find poolside sunbeds [but STILL several inconsiderate people felt the need to put down towels early in the morning and not appear until late morning] downsides...SEVERELY understaffed!...expect to queue for 20 minutes during busy periods at main bar, poolside bar and coffee bar...no coffee-making facilities in the room...we checked in at around midday and were told room wouldn't be available until 3pm but we were kept waiting until 4:30...first time I've ever been charged for using the mini-safe in the room [20 per week]...toilets out of commission [for cleaning] during busy breakfast period worth a visit if you can get a good deal but there are far better 4* Hotels

Lovely stay

We have just returned from our 8 night stay. I was a little worried after reading some of the negative reviews but I honestly didnt need to be! We had a lovely time, we had room 533 which overlooked the main square of the hotel and also a beautiful sea view. The room and bathroom was basic but did the job fine! The hotel itself is very clean and tidy and for an all inclusive, the food is so good! So much choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Different options every day and something to suit everyone, we really enjoyed it. You book a time slot for dinner which stops everyone going at the same time so even if the restaurant was busy we always found a table with no problems! We also got a meal included at the Route 66 la carte and was definitely worth doing! Mikes coffee is also nice for milkshakes and iced coffees. One of the best parts of the all inclusive is you can get branded drinks (Bombay sapphire gin, absolut vodka) which was great. Pool area always had plenty of sunbeds even if we went down late morning & the beach was lovely too. (is a nudist beach though as a heads up! and have to pay for sunbeds as not owned by the hotel) Staff all work so hard at this hotel too. Would say this is a hotel suited to children / families but we still had a very relaxing time as a couple. Only negatives would be the rooms could be cleaned a bit better (mainly the floors). Also no kettle in the room. And the hotel is in a very quiet location, no where to really go in an evening. Wasnt too much of an issue for us as we came for a chilled relaxing break but just worth knowing. If you are worried / put off by some of the other reviews please dont be as we had a lovely stay!

Excellent

We stayed for ten nights last May in a privilege junior suite with terrace and found the H10 Tindaya to be an excellent all-round hotel. We have stayed at many H10 hotels before, some five times but I would highly recommend the Tindaya, it does not exceed in every aspect, but it does not let you down in any aspect either. From arriving at reception and being greeted by Samual Martinez, who is by far the best front of house employee I have had the pleasure of meeting at any H10 hotel! everything just seemed to work, Samual could not do enough for us throughout our stay and was a breath of fresh air compared to the reception staff at our last H01 hotel only a few months earlier. The room was a good size, well proportioned, spotlessly clean and well maintained, a great terrace with full sun and a sea view. The restaurants where excellent, we always had breakfast in the Alisios, lunch in the Betancuria and evening meal in either the Alissios or route 66, never disappointed with the quality or service and any restaurant. We found the privilege lounge to be comfortable and more than adequate with the variety of drinks and snacks available, we only use the solarium once but it was nicely set out with limited drinks available for self-service. The entertainment was as expected at mainstream hotels, with this being a family hotel the children certainly enjoyed the early evening sessions with Daisy, though the entertainment room was rather busy the bar people worked tirelessly to ensure you never waited for long, oh, did I mention Voll Damm on draught, excellent! The grounds are well maintained and though there was work being carried out on the pool bar area this was of no inconvenience, the hotel is in a nice position to have a walk around the beach or along the paved area. Overall an excellent hotel, great location, a decent privilege package, great room option, exceptional food and service, the staff are just excellent, we will certainly return and are hoping that our visit to another H10 in Mexico in six week’s time can complete with the service given at the Tindaya.
