Birthday break in Cambrils

Visited at the beginning of September for a birthday celebration. all the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, top marks to them. the beds are very comfortable and we slept well ,it was pretty quiet in the hotel at night which was good.There was plenty of choice for meals and we could always find something we wanted, though having stayed in quite a few H10 hotels we didn't think this quite matched up. The pool was nice and we always could find a sunbed either in the morning or after we had been out in the afternoon. the beach was very close and had a beach bar. We were disappointed that the pool bar at the hotel was closed for the rest of our holiday after the first day! Also there was a reading corner in the bar, lovely bookcase with lots of books so for the first couple of days we took our books there and swopped them, we are big readers on holiday. next day all the books had been removed, I asked at reception and was told they were taken away....for cleaning ???? They were never replaced during our stay, every time I asked, the answer was they will be put back ,but that never happened ! It was a pleasant walk into Cambrils with its lovely atmosphere and bars and restaurants we walked in quite a few nights. caught the bus into Salou as well , a lot bigger and brasher than Cambrils. Overall we enjoyed our weeks break

Fabulous hotel and spotlessly clean. The dining area is lovely. Food very good with lots of choice. The bar area is comfortable and welcoming. Drinks reasonably priced. The pool area is lovely. Lots of sunbeds and a 'no reservation of sunbeds' policy! The snack bar and outdoor pool had closed for the winter but it was no hardship as there was waiter service and breakfast filled us up until the evening. The rooms are lovely and big. Beds firm and comfortable. The TV's have Netflix. Bathrooms are a fabulous size with walk in shower. We had a huge balcony that got the sun all afternoon. The cleaners come every single day. The hotel is across the road from a stunning beach. Not much around was open, due to the time of year, but buses go right past the door frequently or you can walk into Cambrils, in one direction. Salou, the other. The entertainment, in general was excellent, and so was the atmosphere. Staff made a huge effort for Halloween and the Day of The Dead. They decorated the hotel, created Halloween themed food and dressed up in all manner of costumes. There was a live artist on, a best costume competition and a Tunnel of Terror for children and a scarier one for adults. The hotel was packed with Spanish families that had clearly come for the Halloween inspired weekend, going off the amazing outfits they turned up in. The only negatives were... the hot water was not hot enough to make a decent cup of tea and there was not enough lighting in the hotel room, and what lighting there was was too dim. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The H10 Playa Cambrils is a great family hotel and I would highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience

Hotel is spotless, high standard facilities on site, made even better by all staff, friendly, cant do enough for you, went extra mile, always very approachable. Beautiful hotel made even more perfect by all staff.

More or less an adult hotel perfect for quiet get away

Lets start with the good bits clean, nice big pool. Room done every day. Food not to bad managed to find things I liked. Most of the reception staff were lovely apart from one who was so rude to me and my daughter we were in total shock. Negatives no ball games, rubber rings, etc allowed at all in the pool. Saw a few kids crying because of this including my grand children. It took two hours on the easy jet transfer to get to the hotel so be prepared for a long journey. Not much to do for kids half hour entertainment so late 9 oclock evening. If you want a nice quiet holiday near the beach perfect. Not really for kids.
