H10 Urquinaona Plaza, Barcelona

Loved it

What a gorgeous hotel. We had a superior room with terrace and it was perfect for what we needed. It was such a central location yet we didnt hear a peep so the sound proofing was great. The decor is beautiful and having lots of free sweeties dotted around was always a treat! Lovely communal roof terrace. Starbucks just over the road as well as Popeyes, Maccy Ds and Taco Bell which was very handy as was the 24/7 convenience store next door. Plenty of non chain places to enjoy too though & so central to everything. You could walk to most tourist places within 15 minutes max. As we were only there 3 nights we kept the do not disturb sign on the door but staff kept offering to clean our room which was lovely as most hotels in the UK do everything they can to make you feel guilty about having your room cleaned! The offers were so appreciated. Special shout out to Elfrin who was always so polite and smiley.

Excellent hotel close to everything

Last stayed at the H10 Urquinaona Plaza during covid times so it was great to stay here again without any restrictions or curfews. It's in a great location a few minutes walk from the aerobus terminus at Plaa de Catalunya and right opposite a metro stop, numerous shops, attractions and restaurants. The hotel entrance is very discreet and you could easily walk past the big heavy glass doors. I liked that they had kept the original door knocker on the inside wooden door. Checkin is just to the left as you enter the main vestibule and you are quickly checked in by the staff. My room was on the second floor and very spacious with an outside balcony area which faced the inside courtyard. Although you were in central Barcelona with a busy road outside you heard no noise at all ! Wonderful soundproofing. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was a tad small and the wash basin was in the main bedroom which I did not really like, a minor issue. Overall, the room was very welcoming, relaxing and spotlessly clean. There was a coffee maker and complimentary water which was a nice touch. The amenity bag had toothbrushes, a comb , shower cap and a small sewing kit, quite nifty. The hand wash and body lotion as stuck down to a Ritual marble slate so there is no chance of stealing them ! Breakfast was included in my rate and it was excellent. Lots of choice from hot cooked items to cold meats, fruits and a good bread selection. There was also a whole table with sweet pastries and cake delights ! Even cava so you could fix yourself a mimosa. The coffee machine was easy to use and produced decent coffee. All of the staff which I encountered was lovely, very helpful and cheerful. I would not hesitate to stay here again if the price allowed as it can be quite high sometimes but in January it was surprisingly affordable.

Good location and cleanliness

We stayed here for five nights in an interior room with a balcony. The housekeeping staff and front desk personnel were great at their roles. The location is excellent with close access to bus and red and yellow metro lines. Price was reasonable for the area. Our only issue were other guests would stay on their balcony until 1 or 2 am talking loudly making rest difficult. Not much the hotel may do there but it still impacted our opinion a bit. Lovely hotel otherwise.

A fabulous hotel, lovely staff who made our stay amazing.

Perfect hotel for visiting Barcelona. The hotel was delightful. Bedroom was lovely with really comfy beds/pillows. View from balcony of the town below and double doors to the balcony took out all the noise from traffic and early morning risers. We loved the roof top bar with plunge pool.
