Reviews
Good hotel in very good location.

We booked this hotel as part of a British airways deal, and were a little worried that it might not " come up to scratch".
In fact it was just fine for a city break of 5 nights.
We're retired UK hoteliers by the way.
Overall:
Good location. Easy to get about on foot or by taxi
Really lovely staff - nothing was too much trouble.
Spotlessly clean.
Bedrooms:
Well described as cosy but this didn't matter, all we were doing was sleeping
Very comfortable beds - bring your own pillow if you don't like quite firm synthetic.
Well equipped with small fridge, and a kettle was speedily offered when we asked.
TV - sky news only
Nespresso coffee maker
Blackout curtains.
Note - the doors don't have soft close mechanisms so be prepared for quite a bit of door banging, and voices are easily heard outside some rooms - this was the only downside.
Bathroom
Fine. Good waterfall shower.
Ask when booking for a bath and or bidet if you like - they do have rooms with these
Food
Decent breakfast buffet, food could be a bit warmer, but nice selection.
Roof Terrace :
Lovely.
Nice cooling off pool - small! Great views.
Notes for the hotel:
A Caesar salad is not green mixed leaves, chopped apple, one or two croutons and a few bits of tomato and onion, NOT with oil and vinegar.
A Caesar salad is plenty of crisp Romaine lettuce, plenty of parmesan cheese, croutons, chicken if wished, and a decent dressing comprising, garlic, anchovy paste, lemon juice, mustard, mayonnaise.
Tea. Your lovely staff need to learn how to make a proper cup of tea!
Half a pot of medium hot water with a tea bag on the side will NOT do.
The tea goes into a warm pot first.
BOILING WATER then is added. Simple. And please fill the pot to the top, not halfway.
The water is not hot enough. We were served barely hot tea.
Please fit soft close mechanisms to your bedroom doors.

A Truly Memorable Stay That Exceeded Every Expectation
MarlaN000
We recently spent six nights at the H10 Montcada Boutique Hotel in Barcelona to celebrate a milestone anniversary, and what began with hesitation turned into a stay we will remember with real fondness.
Before we even arrived, Samanta (Sam) from the hotel team set the tone for our experience. Her communication was thoughtful, proactive, and genuinely caring the kind of service that immediately reassures you that youre in good hands. Every request we made in advance was not only accommodated but often anticipated, which made us feel incredibly welcomed and looked after. Sam was made for the hospitality industry, and made things during our stay effortless, and so did Carla.
Ill be honest: we were initially sceptical about staying here. We had booked a package holiday under the impression that the hotel was four stars, only to much later learn from our agents that it held an official threestar rating. Right up until the last minute, we debated changing hotels. In the end, we decided to stay, based on the reviews and we are so glad we did.
From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The reception team were warm, attentive, and consistently helpful throughout our stay. No matter when you spoke to them, you could hear their smiles or see their genuine desire to help you. The hotel itself is immaculate; our room was spotless every day, and the attention to detail in cleanliness and presentation was impressive.
Each morning, breakfast was a pleasure a lovely selection, fresh ingredients, and staff at breakfast were always attentive, caring, friendly and efficient. A special mention to Ashan (apologies if I spelt that incorrectly), who took brilliant care of us.
We also enjoyed tapas and cocktails on the rooftop terrace, which quickly became one of our favourite parts of the hotel. The views over the city are simply incredible, and its a beautiful place to unwind after a day of exploring Barcelona. Samuel, who runs the bar upstairs, is a delight. No matter how busy he gets, it's service with a smile and he is always happy to serve you in any way he can.
The entire reception/guest relations staff made everything effortless. They arranged taxis for us daily, helped with ticket bookings, and ensured that our anniversary trip felt smooth and special from start to finish. It was the effort they put into our stay that made the difference to us wanting to recommend them to every one of our friends and family.
What stood out most was the consistency of the service throughout the hotel. Despite its official threestar rating, the experience we had was easily on par with and in some ways better than many fourstar hotels weve stayed in. The teams warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference. The hotel is most deserving of a four-star rating, and we were baffled by its current rating, which seems unfair.
Our initial doubts completely disappeared, replaced by gratitude for a wonderful stay that exceeded our expectations in every way. We left feeling truly celebrated, relaxed, and appreciative of the people who made our anniversary so memorable.
We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to others for its convenient location, stunning rooftop views and impeccable service.
