H10 Montcada, Barcelona

Never having visited Barcelona we had no idea what to expect. After a long delay at airport and a pleasant ride from the airport we were greeted by friendly reception staff and offered a drink, we checked in and went to our room on 3rd floor. Our room was very clean and had everything you could want- small but perfect for us. Even though there were roadworks there was no sound - in fact one of the quietest hotel i have been to. Also the best and quietest air conditioning. The best thing is the rooftop bar - we spent most of our break up here - best views and the staff again so helpful. There is a hot tub and towels too. Breakfast had everything- fresh croissants and orange juice brought to your table. And a great selection of pastries and cakes. The hotel is in a fabulous location seconds away from the gothic area and a 15 minute walk to marina and beach. Only downside was one lift not working for our stay - the one other lift was busy! Would definitely stay again especially if booking a cruise. Thanks to all the staff.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and 5 days in July. We caught a taxi from airport which was straight forward for about 35 there was just lots of traffic as many roads of the city were under reconstruction, including that outside the hotel and la rambla but that didnt bother us too much. Once we got to the hotel we were aloud to check in early as our room was ready, the reception is beautifully decorated. I requested twin room as I was sharing with my sister and even though we couldnt be made any promises we got our request! The rooms were small but cleaned very well every day including the floors, bathroom and beds made daily. Breakfast was just stunning, the waitresses were kind and attentive offering fresh orange juice and croissants (stunning!!) there was a great range of food too including cooked breakfast, cereal, yogurts, fruit, bread, pasties, mini avocado on toast and sweet treats. The location of the hotel was fantastic, a minute walk to the gothic quarter and over the road from many shops, cafes and restaurants. La Rambla was a 10 minute walk away and about 20 minutes to the marina. We ate in the Plaa Reial which was stunning, highly recommend. We were in close proximity to the metro (literally over the road) but we chose to either walk to places or got the city tour bus to the Sagrada Famillia and Park Gell both of wish are a must visit! We spent some evenings on the roof top bar with brilliant views over the city, especially as the sun goes down. There is a bar and the staff are very attentive and taking your drink or food order. Only small thing to say is the pillows on the sofas and recliners need a wash as they were a little stained but we sat on the seats anyway so didnt matter too much One lift was out of order on our visit so there was a slight wait for that, or could just take the stairs (even though our legs were dying from all the walking). Highly recommend booking attractions in advance as the city is very very busy. I was worried about pick pocketers but we had no issue (except some people trying to get our photo outside the Barcelona Cathedral and then make us pay for it ) we just wore our bags over our front with an arm over and we had no issues Overall, we would absolutely return to this hotel. The service was brilliant, nothing was too much. Thank you!

From the moment you walk in the door you are made exceptionally welcome. the staff at reception Alvaro,Genisis and all the rest were so friendly and helpfull with any information you required. Rooms were spotless and comfortable with a lovely shower. The Sunset Bar on the roof has the most incredible views of Barcelona and the the staff here of the same highest standard. The breakfast has a great selection of hot and cold and great quality and the staff efficient and friendly. The only problem at present is outside as there is roadworks going on but this did not impact noise wise within the hotel. This of course will not be there for ever. This was a fantastic central hotel and gave us a most relaxing experience in this beautiful city.

Very nice hotel. Pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Had a personal welcome from Victor the hotel manager which was a lovely touch. Great central location. Quiet even though considerable construction work going on outside, but this did not affect us at all. Would not hesitate to return if visiting Barcelona in the future.
