H10 Catalunya Plaza, Barcelona

We loved our stay at this hotel. The reception area is a little underwhelming but our room and the restaurant areas were beautiful. We were upgraded to a suite which was enormous, but it was the little touches of complimentary biscuits and a Krups coffee machine which we noticed. The staff were all lovely, particularly the young man brand new to the job and the professional woman running the breakfast room. The breakfast was fabulous too, well worth paying for. We recommend this hotel.

I stayed at H10 Catalunya Plaza before a cruise and I really enjoyed my stay. The location was great. Close to taxi stands, public transportation, restaurants and shops. My room was small but very clean. Staff were wonderful especially Irene Rey.

Convenient location, close to public transportation excellent breakfast, erratic housekeeping We stayed here 5 nights in late April 2024 in a Superior Room with Terrace (balcony) double bed, faux balcony could open door for fresh air (there was a bit of noise, but not awful and we were not facing the main square). If you want a quiet room, suggest ask for a room facing away from Catalunya Plaza. Good we had the ability to open the doors to allow cool air in at night, the A/C was regulated to no cooler than 73F, but it felt much warmer. Room for two suitcases on a pullout couch. Good WiFi. Elevator works, but is a bit small (multiple trips to bring luggage down). Comfy beds that had a top sheet, not just a heavy comforter. Extensive breakfast buffet in a gorgeous dining room good choices and quality. Attendants kept food stocked. We could also order a hot breakfast each morning in addition to the buffet we picked eggs, waffles, omeletes, etc. - prepared to order and quality quite good. There was complimentary Cava and snacks each day in the lobby, a nice touch. Housekeeping was a bit erratic, sometimes we had many large towels but no toilet paper. Had to call front desk (staffed 24 hours) more than once. They did not remove empty/dirty glasses and knocked on our door several nights (late) to see if everything was okay a bit intrusive and odd when we had already called the front desk for various things which were already delivered and the Do Not Disturb sign was on the door. Bathroom had a very, very slippery tub/shower they tried to make it less slippery by putting a tissue-paper mat down (made it worse). Be aware. If you have a rental car, there is no place to park your car to unload, hotel will tell you to park by the trash bins, but that does not work as there is no room. We were turning in our rental car in Barcelona, so only needed a place to temporarily stop to unload, decided to turn in rental car and take a taxi to the hotel (this was a good choice, less stressful than trying to drive in crazy Barcelona traffic).

Staff was particularly helpful and eager to please. Hotel looked out onto plaza catalyuna and euro cup final was shown there. We watched from the safety of the balcony - a great experience. Complimentary refreshments were available and staff gave good advice for activities. We also stayed at H10 in Madrid and recommend both.
