Ocean Coral & Turquesa El Beso, Riviera Maya

Very clean resort. Staff were very friendly. Food was ok. We were only there for 3 nights but found the buffet repetitive during that time. We ate at the Italian and the Brazilian restaurant. Lunch at the restaurant by the pool was great and service was excellent. Antonio our server at the quiet pool bar was excellent! We liked the mozzarella sticks at Route 66 late night. The resort needs to enforce the towel saving. We sat at the pool and there were saved chairs beside us for longer than 2 hours. We liked the lobby bar and thought it was very nice to have a large space like that when it was raining.

We just returned from another great vacation at the Ocean Coral & Turquesa. My husband & I have been coming to the Mayan Riviera for over 20 years, sometimes coming multiple times per year. We have stayed at some of the best resorts on the Mayan Riviera, including Barcelo Palace, Iberostar Maya, Grand Palladium Colonial, Bahia Principe Tulum, Grand Sunset Princess and Riviera as well as a couple of Dreams Resorts. We discovered the Ocean Coral & Turquesa in 2017, and since then, this has been the only resort we have come to, and this was our 5th stay. Normally, it is just my husband & I that travel, but this time, we brought our family with us (6 adults, 4 children ages 8 13) and this was the perfect spot for us. Everyone had a great time and there was something for everyone. This resort is super clean, which is one of the reasons why we keep returning. When just my husband & I travel, we usually stay in the El Beso section, but because we had our grandkids with us this time, we opted to stay in the regular rooms, and we were not disappointed with our choice. We would like to give a special thank you to the following staff members who made this trip so memorable for us. First of all, thanks to Ana (Customer Service Manager) for giving us the perfect rooms, Sergio in Guest Services who helped us get dinner reservations for our large group, and the staff at the Villa Marina/Chill Pool including Antonio, Alejandro, Gustavo, Eduardo and Henry who made the best drinks and gave the best service. Thank you all!!! You all are one of the main reasons why this resort is now our favourite. We were in building 18, which is close to the Kids Pool and beach. This location was perfect for us, as we could all easily access the pools and beach from our rooms. The hotel was very considerate and knew that we were a group of 3 families and gave us all rooms very close together. Thank you, Ana for helping with this. We will be forever grateful for your help. We ate at the buffet every morning for breakfast which had a wide variety of options. One of our grandchildren is a very picky eater, and even he was able to find something he loved at every meal. We also ate most of our lunches at the buffet but also ate at Ocean Burger, Villa Marina and Jellys. All were great and the food was delicious. For dinner, we ate at most of the restaurants and were always able to get reservations at a reasonable time. Thank you, Sergio, for helping us get tables together at the Oriental Sensi and Ritratto D Italia. You were a great help, and OCT is very lucky to have you as an employee. All of the restaurants were great, but our favourites were the Oriental, Blue Moon and Italian. We also ate at Route 66, Mexican, and Villa Marina which were also excellent. The shows at night were fantastic and we all enjoyed them very much. Our favourites were the Micheal Jackson show, Fire Show and Acrobat show. The OCT has some very talented people, and we were all mesmerized by their performances. When we first arrived, we were at the Activity pool and beach for most of the day, but towards the end of our stay we stayed at the Chill Pool mainly because of the service from Antonio, Alejandro, Gustavo, Eduardo and Henry. You guys are the best! If there was anything that I would say could use improving, it would be the variety of food at the buffet and the towel game at the pools and beach. When we went for lunch and dinner at the buffet, we often found limited options and occasionally there was no food in the dishes that were set out. However, the resort was very busy and I am sure that is was hard for the staff to keep the dishes well-stocked. As for the towel game, it is bad. Fortunately for us, we are all early risers so had no trouble getting chairs, but we often saw guests having to sit on their towels at the beach or pool because all the chairs were taken by phantom guests who never showed up to sit in the chairs. This has got to change, not only at this resort, but almost all the resorts we have been to. It would only take a few days of staff removing towels from un-occupied chairs for this to end. Come on, OCT, show some initiative and let all guests enjoy their stay as much as we do by ending this ridiculous game once and for all. After so many stays at this resort, the Ocean Coral & Turquesa feels like our second home now and we cannot wait to return again and again and again. See you all again soon

Luis was our knight in shining Armour! Always there in our hour of need. Though we had a few problems with rooms he was always there to help. A wonderful employee who deserves success. Brandon was also there for us and helped us in many ways. Enrique, on sun bed duty was always there for us supplying towels and iced water on a regular basis. Great worker! All restaurant staff were amazing. Cleanliness of rooms immaculate. We will be back! Thank you to H10 Ray & Jen
