H10 Playa Esmeralda, Fuerteventura

Our 9th visit to the hotel since May 2022. I think this says it all really! Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. The hotel is low key so definitely not for young (or older) party animals. In a lovely location for long beach walks. We always book Privilege which we feel is worth the extra money. Looking forward to returning later in the year.

Paid for privilege upgrade and was more than worth it. Room was large with perfect sea view from the well appointed veranda. We ate at the privilege / pizza restaurants each night with lunch at the poolside bar. All staff super friendly and attentive, there was work being done around the spa but they kept the noise to a minimum. So lovely for it to be adult only too as no screaming kids. Beach is great as well. Id highly recommend this hotel.

Very clean and comfortable beds. Staff attentive. Book spa treatments well in advance. Indoor pool and jacuzzi are fab. Beach is windy and not child free. Doesnt belong to hotel. 5 euro for sunbed and 5 euro for sunshade at beach. Quite a trek back up to hotel on steps and boardwalk. Overall very enjoyable holiday with delicious food and relaxing vibe.

We have stayed here before and we value our stay at the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble - always a smile and a greeting. Food was good and plentiful with much choice and there was always something for us to enjoy. Entertainment good on the whole and directed at an adult audience and rightly so as this is an adults only hotel. The downside started on the night we arrived as there was no - one to show us to our rooms or help with luggage. We had a quick brief from the receptionist but still got lost despite being here a few months previous.Thankfully some German guests showed us the way and helped with our luggage and on a dark night with subdued lighting it was very much appreciated as we are getting on in years. Next was the shock that our pool towels could not be exchanged without a fee of two Euros and of course you have to pay about 30 Euros for a safe that is already in your room. Be aware also that you do not get water replenishment after your first night so you have to find a water bottle - available for four Euros of course. Next morning was also a shock as there was building work down by the spa where new tiles are being laid - constant hammering and drilling for two weeks. Along with that there was garden landscaping at the other end of the pool with chain saws and digging and dust for several days. We had not been told of this before we arrived and our TUI rep Andy was as surprised as us. He was brilliant in arranging a compromise for us as compensation. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas but there was a constant vape cloud around areas of the pool - usually by British guests. Surely the no smoking policy should apply to Vaping? This is a good hotel and I would go back but beware the building work as it seems to be going on for quite a while.......
