H10 Universitat, Barcelona

Again another wonderful stay at my favourite hotel. Staff rooms just love everything about it. Everything is catered for. I have become friends with the manager Christian who runs a wonderful hotel. This time brought my daughter and her new husband for the 1st time and they loved it too

I stayed at H10 Universitat Hotel for 6 nights during a solo trip to Barcelona this month and had a fabulous experience. The hotel is in a great location, just a couple of minutes walk from Placa de Catalunya, and also very close to a couple of stations on the metro. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, and welcoming. A couple of days into my stay, it was my birthday, and to my surprise, a hotel staff member came to my door with a birthday card and a chilled bottle of cava. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that made me feel appreciated, especially as a solo traveller. My room was a classic room on the 7th floor and had everything that I needed. It had a king size bed. I also had breakfast included in my booking, and it was excellent. There was a wide variety of options each morning, such as fruit, bread, eggs, cheeses, yoghurts, juices and coffee. The dining area was not busy in the morning at around 7am, and it was a nice way to start each day. The rooftop terrace was another positive. I visited on the day I arrived and again later in the week. It had great views over the city. The hotel's location made it easy to explore the attractions nearby. This was important to me as I walked to Barceloneta Beach, Port Vell and visited attractions like Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Barcelona Aquarium, and Barcelona Zoo early in the mornings when they first opened, which is better to avoid crowds. I visited La Pedrera Casa Mila later in the evening and it was not busy at that time either. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient and I would definitely recommend this hotel on that basis.

Every time I come to Barcelona I stay at the H10 Ronda Universitat. Competent and helpful staff. The rooms are excellent, the breakfast is composed of wide variety of Mediterranean and foreign food. I always stay at the room facing the street but the double glassing makes the room cosy and silent. I will be back.

Entitled The City of Dreams due to its special significance for us, Barcelona is essential to be visited and revisited. Know more of the Capital of Catalonia, about Gaudis monumental and multidimensional legacy, about a unique and historic culture and a romance language such as Catalan, the more one stays and the moments become unforgettable. The hotel is close to Plaa Catalunya and the red line. Places are relatively close and also several shopping outlets. And dont forget to dine/have drinks on the top floor, the view is incredible!
