Honeymoon at Palazzo Gala

We chose to stay at Palazzo Galla during our honeymoon in Rome. The location was fantastic, the rooms were large and beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The best part about this hotel is the rooftop. Aside from standing atop of the Altare Della Patria, you will not find a better view in Rome. Seriously, we went to every rooftop bar/restaurant, and none even compare.

This is one of the very best hotels we have stayed in , from the moment you arrive you are aware of the quality of service, lovely efficient and friendly staff, welcome drink you immediately feel relaxed. We had room 414 which was lovely, good size, clinically clean and calming.
Whenever we needed anything the staff were so kind and helpful so the whole stay was wonderful.
It is undoubtedly the only hotel to choose when visiting Rome .

First impressions of this hotel were great: beautiful lobby/reception area; friendly and welcoming staff and a glass of bubbly on arrival.
The room was very comfortable, light and nicely decorated. The breakfast was delicious with a buffet-style for the continental breakfast and hot options such as omelettes, crepes and waffles cooked to order. The portions are small, but you can easily order sides, eg bacon, sausages and potato rosti to make more of a meal. There was even champagne available which was a lovely holiday treat.
The location of this hotel is perfect: close to Trevi Fountain with many bars and restaurants nearby. Be prepared to bring comfortable trainers as you will be doing a lot of walking from one location to the next. This is something that we really enjoyed and all the main attractions (Colosseum, Vatican, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Piazza Navona etc) are within walking distance with plenty of nice places to stop for refreshments along the way.
Sadly, we did not visit the rooftop bar as we were out exploring all day, every day and the bar was closed on our return. Im sure that in the Summer months when the evenings are longer, this would be a lovely spot to relax and soak up the views.
