First impressions of this hotel were great: beautiful lobby/reception area; friendly and welcoming staff and a glass of bubbly on arrival.
The room was very comfortable, light and nicely decorated. The breakfast was delicious with a buffet-style for the continental breakfast and hot options such as omelettes, crepes and waffles cooked to order. The portions are small, but you can easily order sides, eg bacon, sausages and potato rosti to make more of a meal. There was even champagne available which was a lovely holiday treat.
The location of this hotel is perfect: close to Trevi Fountain with many bars and restaurants nearby. Be prepared to bring comfortable trainers as you will be doing a lot of walking from one location to the next. This is something that we really enjoyed and all the main attractions (Colosseum, Vatican, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Piazza Navona etc) are within walking distance with plenty of nice places to stop for refreshments along the way.
Sadly, we did not visit the rooftop bar as we were out exploring all day, every day and the bar was closed on our return. Im sure that in the Summer months when the evenings are longer, this would be a lovely spot to relax and soak up the views.

Excellent Hotel in Rome City Centre

We enjoyed an excellent three nights at the H10 Palazzo Galla. The hotel is well placed near to the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum, along with a great selection of restaurants nearby. The hotel is modern, with a fantastic and relaxing terrace and bar on the roof, with wonderful outlook. The check in process was simple and pleasant, with prosecco given on arrival. Both rooms were next door to each other and both clean, tidy and well appointed. Ideal for busy days sight seeing. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, with a well stocked buffet selection and a cooked breakfast on order. The roof bar was available during the day and was closed of an evening, which was a shame but we did stay in the winter months. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Palazzo Galla which is, indeed, ideally situated to see many of the sights of Rome. The rooms are clean and very comfortable- immaculately made up every day to a very high standard. It was my partners birthday whilst we were there and the hotel provided a bottle of Prosecco - which was very welcome indeed. The staff are friendly and helpful and the roof top bar has amazing views.
We were a bit surprised to be asked to pay a deposit of 50 per night against, I presume, breakages etc. It was cancelled at the end of our stay but didnt really feel very hospitable. However this was hardly the fault of the individual hotel management but, Im guessing, a policy of H10 hotels. But it rather jarred - especially as we had already paid quite a lot.

This was my second time in Rome and I really loved the location of this hotel and the rooftop. Perfect for a drink and an appetizer. Room was clean. I would definitely stay again and recommend.
