The Riviera Maya is a tourist area in Mexico that runs along the Caribbean Sea in the State of Quintana Roo. Geographically it runs all along the seaboard from the town of Puerto Morelos in the north to the town of Punta Allen, in the south, and is some 130 km long.
The best months for travelling are between May and August, since they are the hottest; the normal temperature is of 26oC, but in the summer it can be as high as 35oC. The months from November to February are rainier and the atmosphere is a little colder.
