Lovely hotel in central location but no atmosphere

Went for a week at this hotel with my friend. We booked this hotel as it was adults only. It is a lovely clean hotel, staff were nice and helpful and rooms were spacious and clean. We were given a junior suite on arrival. Only downside is that we had to climb 16 steps to the room and with heavy luggage it wasnt ideal as there was no lift in this area. I like to swim on holiday and the hotel has a lovely big pool for this, however the pool area is very quiet with only faint background music and no atmosphere and no pool bar although there is a bar inside reception. We also found the reception area at night pretty much empty with the odd person sitting having a drink. The hotel is in a good location to shops and about 10 min walk to the music square where there are bars and restaurants. Did I enjoy myself at this hotel I would say yes but would I return, probably not. Most of the people staying there were probably in 60s/70s and were probably looking for a quiet space. Im in early 50s but looking for somewhere with bit more atmosphere. We were staying B&B and the breakfast was lovely with a mixture of buffet and ordering from a menu things like crepes, waffles, toast with salmon and cooked breakfast and omelettes.

Perfect peaceful hotel

Awesome time here , staying in a pool view room. I recommend an upstairs room (there are only 2 floors) for a little extra balcony privacy . Room was beautiful with a roomy bathroom with 2 sinks and walk in shower (no bath.) Best air conditioning I have ever had on holiday. . Coffee pods replenished daily for the Krips coffee machine. Free safe and pool towel. Welcome glass of cava on arrival and a large bottle of water ready in your fridge for you on your first night. Told at check in that everything in your room is free- which is lovely to hear after a days travelling. Everywhere absolutely spotlessly clean. A very quiet hotel - with little entertainment/activities - although you can join the wider range at H10 Suites just across the road. Plenty of sun loungers around the pool area and free to use Balinese beds . Staff are exceptionally helpful The food is exceptional , both breakfast and dinner have buffet and also la carte options so food is freshly made individually for you. I had fish most nights and it was beautifully prepared and cooked. for a quiet, peaceful holiday with exceptional food this hotel is perfect. .

Return Visit

Second visit to Ocean Dreams last time was 7 years ago, nothing has changed everything was as before, staff are great and very friendly the dining room food was not up to the same quality as previously one evening we had rib eye steaks which were over cooked and had more fat than meat.Another evening I had Mushroom Risotto with a tiny slivers of serrano ham and parmigiana, it was also gritty to eat as if the mushrooms had not been cleaned correctly, apart from these gripes we enjoyed our week as we are regular visitors to Corralejo and always enjoys evening in the bars around music square but think we will try Ocean Dunas next time.
