Ocean Maya Royale, Riviera Maya

Adelle from the experience team was fantastic and she is always making sure that everyone is having a good time. From the mini games to the waterpolo, its been a blast every minute. My family and I havent had one dull moment. The volleyball has been amazing, cannot express how much fun Adele has been. Thank you for the forever memories!!

The best thing about the hotel is the entertainment staff. Adela, Gracia, Sexy Jules and Alex are all amazing but Kenddell was our favourite as he was very entertaining and welcoming and remembered all of our names. They all went above and beyond and made everyone laugh and feel welcome. The food was either really good or extremely average. It differed day to day. The food at El Charro was the best, it was always amazing from there. The cleaning staff are great, our rooms are always clean and tidy when they refresh the rooms. The mini fridge is restocked everyday. The water activities in the beach are quite expensive compared to other places we have been in Mexico. If youre interested in excursions, please be prepared to travel quite some distance. Most of the staff are attentive and they dont expect tips but are grateful to receive them and definitely earn them. We went to an ocean H10 hotel in Dominican (ocean blue and sands) and they had a lot more to do there so if I could provide some advice it would be to add more things to do, for example the hotel in Dominican had a bowling alley, more pool tables (that had air conditioning), archery/outdoor batting cage, casino, etc. Another negative was at different parts of the hotel there is a very strong smell of fish, weirdly this was not next to the sea but around the rooms.

We loved this resort! I have been here twice so far and we will be back. The resort isn't too big, but more than big enough, no little kids, nice pools amazing food and great service. The room was clean and tidy and we loved sitting on the balcony with a beverage after being at the beach for the day. They do their best to keep some of the beach clear of the ever present seaweed these days, and I was always able to pop in the ocean when I wanted to. I agree with some others that the heavy iron pot lids at the buffet are very odd and not user friendly, and another solution should be looked into - but the food is amazing:)

This was our first stay at an all-inclusive resort and let me tell you it was an amazing experience and far exceeded our expectations. We cautiously traveled to OMR based on the outstanding recommendation of a friend as they were planning their repeat visit to OMR within a six month timeframe. My wife and I were not sure what to expect, but the entire staff at OMR appeared to not want to be outdone by any other resort. The customer service from the entire staff from check-in to check-out was spot-on, they were attentive and when possible included a personal touch. I would be remiss if I did not mention the star of the resort, Mr. Kendal-icious from the blue team! This young man is a large reason this resort has so many loyal and repeat guests. His unique ability to connect with everyone at the resort (worldwide clientele) was quite impressive. His energy, ability to include everyone regardless of the activity, and most of all his genuine friendliness and kindness was quite remarkable. OMR would be wise to keep him as happy as he keeps their guests! There were other stars at the resort and I would also like to recognize them for their efforts here: the pool bar stars were Miguel and Ebher; Sports Bar star was Crostobel who learned how to make a "La Batanga" just for me and then never let a glass not be filled with one; others stars notably on the blue team were Andrea, Adela, Grecia, Jules, Alexander, and Margarita; Buffet staff star was Carla. The OMR room was comfortable, clean, and more than sufficient for the little amount of time we spent in it. OMR has so many activities and things to do throughout the day and evening that it was a non-issue for us. We will definitely be returning to OMR in the near future and look forward to seeing if the staff can top this amazing vacation with their limitless energy and enthusiasm.

First and foremost, ocean maya royale is an absolutely beautiful resort. There is such a large selection of restaurants and bars, and generally again all the staff are wonderful. So obliging and again very helpful. There is such an array of activities on site, and again the staff are very obliging when trying to accommodate you on such,with such examples as jet-sking etc. The resort itself is very safe, we as a group found Mexico very safe as a whole, with that safety is paramount when coming and going from the resort. The only qualms I have about my week stay at Ocean maya royale is that, myself and my partner came back to the apartment one evening to find a note requesting that we contact staff the following morning in which we done, unknown to us the following morning when we met staff we were informed that we were going to be charged etc for towels and bed linen as house keeping had to dispose of such. We were told that staff were under the assumption that blood were on the linen provided, with that we informed them that these stains are a mixture of sun lotion and make up. We informed them we'd no issue paying any charge, but we were absolutely shocked that house keeping had taken pictures of our linens as 'proof', to say we were shocked was an understatement, a violation of such. This genuinely is the reason for one less star, because I can't fault the place otherwise.
