Ocean Coral & Turquesa El Beso, Riviera Maya

Arrived on Thursday 9th May 2024 and we are now four days into our fourteen night stay. We booked the El Beso Adults only section with TUI in the UK, amazing rooms and use of an adults only pool. What is there to say about this hotel it is absolutely amazing, all of the staff are polite and very helpful and friendly. We leave the cleaner a little note everyday (using our very helpful Spanish phrases which were provided on arrival) of what drinks we require to be stocked up and they are always accommodated. There is absolutely something for everyone. Pools are spotlessly clean, entertainment team are on the go all day and night long. There are Restaurants for everyone, three do need reservations, a couple are first come first served and then there is the buffet all providing a great selection of food. Finally the seaweed, this is not exclusive to Mexico it is floating around all of the carribean beaches but the hotel are doing their best to clear it on a daily basis,

Let me start by saying we are lucky enough to be members of the Premium Travel Club. In fact we upgraded our membership while we were on property this time (Thank you Yesenia for being persuasive). This is a beautiful resort nestled on the east coast of Mexico. Unlike many Ocean properties this resort stretches along the beach so while large, it feels smaller as everything is close to the central lobby/restaurant areas. Restaurant and service offerings are similar at most Ocean properties but as we have come to appreciate in all of our travels, its the people who make the difference. On that note, a very special thank you to a few who made our anniversary celebration extra special. Emmanuel and Freddy in the Privilege Restaurant/Lounge, gentlemen you are both amazing and a credit to what you do. Always a smile and warm greeting, we cannot wait till next we spend time with you. Roberto at the Elbeso Pool, you never forgot our drink order and we never wanted for anything. The number of times you stayed late all in an effort to take care of your many guests makes you one in a million. Alan in the Privilege Lounge, thank you for stepping up when our butler dropped the ball. You made sure everything we wanted or needed happened when Peralta went AWOL. Your attention to detail was incredible and we are so very grateful you took the time and picked up the ball. This is one of the oldest Ocean properties but you are hard pressed to notice. The grounds are mature and immaculate, the rooms clean and comfortable (though the AC in some rooms, ours included leaves something to be desired). Despite her best efforts Mayanin never did get the issue rectified but to her credit the addition of the dehumidifier made a world of difference, so thank you. A must if you can is the Mayan Dinner. From the blessing to the food and show this is an experience not to be missed. This is an amazing culture with a rich history and a symbiotic relationship to the elements and environment. Thank you for sharing your food and stories, I feel richer for the experience. Thank you for an amazing week, we look forward to coming back and sharing more time with our new found Mexican family.

This was the first time travelling since Covid and it celebrating 3 birthdays. If youre contemplating going to this resort I am giving you the most honest review. Stayed from may2-9 1. We were a group of 12 6 adults and 6 kids. Be aware check in times is 3pm so we had an early flight and our first experience is be very patient as the check in is very rough. Our rooms were not ready and they kept telling us to come back and when you do you have to lineup again to finalize check in. When you officially check in make sure when they give you the envelope for your room ask also for pool cards or else like us we had to wait in line again after just to get pool cards. Dont lose cards to replace towels or you will be charged. 2. A La Carte restaurants. There are a variety of A la carte but issue is the application needs work as when you go in line even if its first thing in the morning they are booked and maximum is group of 8. I do ant to say special shout out to Samuel he was guest service supervisor and he managed to book a 12 seating to the Senaj Japanese as it was celebrating my wifes 60th There is a adult only French restaurant that was nice my wife and august went There is Italian which was ok Route 66 is a just they offer ribs wings more sports bar food but always open late There is also a Brazilian almla carte again the app was not working so we did Not get to eat there but they are open for lunch which the famijy enjoyed no reservations for lunch The main buffet : there is ample food to choose from. One thing about this resort there is a ergo card you carry as my wife and 2 grandkids have gluten and dairy allergies and I commend the resort for this as no one for sick from Cross contamination 3. Resort itself is big enough to walk to the main areas once you get to know the place. One thing there are ample washrooms very where and pools theres like 4 pools but majority of times we stayed at the kids zone. 4. Kids zone : absolutely a 10. If you have kids they will love this resort. My grandkids loved the pool Area and for adults there is a small lunch buffet arcs nachos picodago burgers hotdogs fries deserts there is full time bartender to serve you anything you want. A special shout out to the kids zone team I believe the main leaders name is Kayla but all 4 girls made my grandkids experience so much fun as they did face painting twice and made them all feel good. 4. Rooms : our room was close To the kids zone we loved it. There are issues regarding mold smell but we had a dehumidifier and that controlled smell issues. Many comments around air conditioning none of our 3 rooms had issues. Special shout out to our cleaner Gabriel she ensured our rooms were clean and towels and roulette never issues. The rooms bar had basic water beer pop but what more you want. 5. Entertainment : we were primarily in the kids zone but the entertainment team in the adults side are to keep the crowd going. Evening entertainment needs work but we enjoyed the last night they had a abba tribute 6. For the price point we paid this is definitely a great resort. I would highly recommend and I always say whether its this resort or another make the best of a relaxing fun vacation and remember beggars cant be choosers. 7. The staff : I would like to commend every staff we encountered with from Front desk , cleaners , restaurant staff everyone is so polite and i would suggest bring small bills to tip these staff if you feel its deserving and from our experience we tipped everyone. Overall this is easy 4-41/2 star resort. Although looks dated they keep the grounds clean and so a great job to make your experience a good one. If it wasnt for the check in issues this would be 5 star review. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at this resort way back in 2009 two years after resort opened. It was very nice and friendly. 11 of us came back on May 2 to May 9th, 2024. First of all I just wanted to mention that the resort does have elevators and not sure way the Resort on their web-site nor does Apple Vacations state there are no EVEVATORS which is a plus for family with little kids and adults with wheel chairs and walkers etc. They have 3 in the lobby area and buildings9, 11, 12, 15 and 19. I stayed in building 20 in back by the tennis courts. Even though overall the resort is somewhat large, it is very easy to get around. All of the restaurants are mainly close together in one area which makes it very easy. We ate at the buffet, Blue Moon, Sensai Japan cooking show tables, Route 66, Villa Marina, Ritratto d'Italia, Mike's Coffee, overall very good. All the pools were well kept, and great service for drinks (please tip if you can). Our room was building 20 first floor and was clean and well kept daily and restocked in frige. Our room also had a dehumidifier in it which keep moisture out and NO smell in room. Had to empty reservoir several times a day and was no big deal and well worth it. Beach had a ton of sea weed washing to shore everyday and the resort had a tractor trying to keep it clean but was over whelming to maintain beach. Had NO problem with any staff which were very friendly. All 11 of our family and friends said they would all come back again if price is right as it was for this trip!!

This hotel is marvelous, we stayed privilege and used the el beso pool Jose always pleases and remembered me from a previous visit. Jesus is a great waiter in privilege lounge. That said all the staff are helpful, enthused, and hard working. Peralta our butler decorated the room beautifully for our 45th anniversary. The entertainment was fun and the foam party was a blast. The bartenders were flexible the chefs and wait staff were excellent. Check-in was a breeze, and the bellhops handled the luggage both ways. In fact the only detraction was the sargassum on the beach, I'm a pool person and the beach is fine for relaxing in the sand. Vendors came twice in a 10 day stay and that's always enjoyable. All in all a great time and a great value!
