H10 Taburiente Playa, La Palma

La verdad que fue una estancia muy agradable. La habitación limpia, el personal muy agradable, y como no, los buffets (desayuno y cena) con 1000+1 maravillas. Las instalaciones están muy cuidadas y la wifi funciona bastante bien. Es un hotel tanto para viajes de trabajo como viajes en familia, y puede ser el punto de partida para conocer una isla tan espectacular como la isla de La Palma

I'm a smoker and I think I'm tolerant but I find it excessive that on your terrace I don't know how to smoke and that they send you a letter with a standard that of course I didn't know....otherwise the smoking area is the windiest in the hotel, but that's the least. The all inclusive is very good as they are top brand drinks. Acceptable food, rather better dinner. The rooms are well decorated and the bathroom is spacious. The staff is quite nice although I had to remind the cleaning lady in writing to empty the bins although it is true that it was the same person who had to pick up from the terrace a butt that, in the absence of an ashtray, I innocently left in a glass with water on the table. The pool facilities are perfect and the hall is beautifully decorated. The evening animation very loose. A shame the letter that we were brought to the room in which expressly mentioned the penalty for smokers, I am uncomfortable and for that reason I do not give 5 stars....sorry.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days in April. A very pleasant hotel but also very tranquil. It is a great base to explore the island. There is no animation during the day and very little in the evening so something to bear in mind if you are looking for daily/nightly entertainment for you or the children. We had a Grand Deluxe Room, there are only 4 in the hotel and they have a very large terrace with sunbeds plus a smaller terrace with table and chairs. The bed was very comfortable and there is also a mini kitchen with a microwave and coffee machine. We were on the 6th floor and our daughters were on the 4th floor. Unfortunately right next to our room was the store cupboard so it was a little noisy sometimes in the morning when the staff were going in and out. It was very windy all the time we were there so we didn't use the pools, but one was a lot warmer than the other two. The food was good, some dishes were very good, some more mediocre. They didn't have any theme nights like they do in a lot of hotels. Always a queue for the ice-creams every evening! The desserts were rather lacking though, with just the same small selection of creamy/sponge cakes each night. We booked some massages through Reception and a German lady comes to the hotel. She was excellent and highly recommended. The hotel is literally 1km from the airport, you can see the planes take off. There isn't a shop in the hotel but there is a small supermarket about 500m up the road.

For 8 days we visited the island, booked on our own in three 4 hotels. I definitely recommend this H10 where we stayed 4 nights for its best Access and Location next to the airport, on the well maintained beach and excellent promenade of Los Cancajos, close to Sta Cruz and unbeatable base to tour by car the island, as was our case of couple or hire agencies or move by public transport to do it. I recommend not staying elsewhere as, in addition to the best location and that all excursions can be done in one day, it has by far the best value for money and the best service and amenities, especially if you are a member of the H10 Club. Views and Facilities of the most pleasant, either from the comfortable and spacious room with terrace, from the beautiful and spacious area of the heated or natural pool, from the dining room with variety and good food or from the terrace of the bar, which has evening entertainment inside. It has few parking spaces of its own, which are free, but we had no problem parking outside if there was no room in the hotel grounds, which in the other hotels in one cost money to park in its grounds and in both it was more complicated to park nearby.
