H10 Palazzo Canova, Venice

This hotel is in the most perfect location on the Grand Canal. Easy to walk to the tourist attractions, transport links via boat on your doorstep and lots of good restaurants near by. H10 Hotels know how to make your stay perfect and this was an exceptional base for us to explore and then come back for a drink on the terrace watching the comings and goings on the canal - what more could you want. All staff attentive without being over the top - well done to all.

Arrived in a water taxi transfer from the airport & the drop off is literally directly outside the hotel entry. Perfect. The hotel is expensive, but its location & the quality of the staff, breakfast & rooms really was without fault. We stayed for 3 nights for my wife's 60th birthday & this was picked up by the hotel and on the morning of the big day, she was presented at breakfast with a chocolate cake and candle. Over the 3 nights we stayed, nothing was too much trouble. At the top of the hotel is also a terrace bar with amazing views over the grand canal. We sat there a couple of hours on 2 afternoons watching the world go by and sipping Lemoncello Spritz's. Perfect. If you are looking for a beautiful hotel, in a great location with warm and professional staff - look no further.

I write my review in english language to give the hotel the chance to improve the customer experience. First of all, this hotel is a good choice in Venice as it is modern, in a good location and has a good value for money. Certainly, at this price level you won't find anything better. I really liked that the room was of a generous size as it was the bathroom (at least in the junior suite category). The views from the room at the canal grande are great but at the same time, there is noise, so you need to keep the windows shut. The shower was generous and hat a good water pressure. The provided shower gel, shampoo etc. are of good quality. What I didn't liked was that I had to carry my bags from the water taxi the hotel steps on my own. On both days of my stay there was a noise in my room lasting for hours, like someone was moving furniture. I don't know where it came from - maybe from the rooftop bar upstairs, it was annoying and actually a thing that could be solved easily. Hardly can imagine no one ever complained about it. The in-room dining food was good, but not special, and it was not delivered in a heater, so it got cold very quickly. The choice for in-room dining breakfast is very small. Some towels had stains or holes. Some of the employees which I met could be more professional. Those things will be the reason why I probably won't stay here again. Listing all the above, the hotel actually would earn rather a 3 star review but I give 4 stars because my room request was considered.
