Tarragona, experience Mediterranean history

Port Aventura

Located just a 20-minute drive from our hotel in Tarragona is this amusement park, the most visited in Spain, which has 6 different themed areas and huge number of shows, attractions and restaurants where you can spend a family day out.

Aquopolis and Costa Caribe

These two water parks are also very close to Tarragona and have several water attractions, restaurants and shops. If it's hot, treat yourself to a refreshing day in either of them. You're sure to have fun!

Ebro Delta

The Ebro Delta Natural Park is well worth a visit so you can unwind while surrounded by nature. It is where the Ebro river meets the Mediterranean Sea, and contains large paddy fields, long and quiet beaches, shallow lagoons and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Don't forget to try the rice grown in the area! It is of very good quality.

There are several golf courses located on the Costa Daurada near the hotel, including Golf Costa Dorada, Lumine Mediterránea Beach & Golf and the Bonmont Golf Club. If you’re a fan of this sport, you’re in luck! Find out more at our hotel in Tarragona

Food and wine

Tarragona's cuisine is influenced by the land and the sea, and mostly uses products typical of the Mediterranean. We recommend you walk along the Rambla Nova or the Plaza de la Font to try some of the area’s specialities. You can also purchase quality products in the city’s Central Market.

We can’t talk about the food without mentioning the winemaking tradition of this region, which thanks to the high quality of its wines has already achieved 4 designations of origin: D.O. Tarragona, D.O. El Priorat, D.O. Conca de Barberà y D.O. Montsant. If you enjoy a good wine tasting, we recommend you to take the Priorat Wine Route, where you can visit and discover the region’s different wineries.

Salou and Reus

If you are in Tarragona, you can go and spend the day in Salou, a town renowned for offering multiple family-friendly activities: beaches, sports and leisure activities, theme parks, shopping, gastronomy and much more.

Or you can also visit Reus, the second most important city in the province, birthplace of Antoni Gaudí, as a result of which you’ll come across many modernist buildings designed by or in some way related to the architect, such as the house where he was born.
