Located in a quiet area of Cambrils and 50 metres from the magnificent beach of l’Esquirol, the H10 Cambrils Playa features a garden area with a large swimming pool and sun lounger area, a restaurant and two bars. Nice hotel Pleasant staff , nice beer , nice clean room, nice food , fridge in room that actually worked well . plenty of sun beds , no dash for sunbeds in the morning. Great location for catching the bus to Salou or Cambrils , buy a ticket in the excursion shop outside the back gate. 10 journeys for 11 i think it was.it is a little isolated only 2 mini markets outside & 1 restaurant so if your after an afternoon snack get your walking shoes on towards cambrills or mile down the road towards Salou by the best cambrills hotel as there's a lot more choice outside the door there . Nice sea front. Nothing to do with the hotel. This is just my observation. I wish the menus wasn't so high-end in the barch bars on the sea front . When you're half board, you're not interested in octopus & lobster for 35 each for lunch. You just want a snack to tie you over, but that option isn't available in the beach restaurants in the area . There is a snack bar at the hotel, but that wasn't open when we were there . Missing a trick there as people were all going missing round the pool for a few hours, obviously out to find lunch, so they are not buying beer in the hotel bar . Good prices in the bar, by the way . Evening entertainment was usual hotel entertainment. Nothing apart from kids stuff till 9.30 then an artist on for an hour. Saw a great violinist one night she was brilliant . Would stay again in a heartbeat as we had a really nice week . Top tip . Before you go, sign up for H10 membership. You get a nice welcome cocktail on arrival

A nice place

Before I talk about the hotel, I want to give a huge shout out to the server Teresa, who works at the bar and is not only a cheerful personality but is extremely helpful. H10 Cambrils Playa are lucky to have her. Location wise, this is a great place right in-between Cambrils and Salou, so you can reach either one by walking 45 minutes. But the best thing is the bus stop right outside the pool gate (going either way). And there is a shop next door where you can buy snacks, drinks and most importantly bus passes. The place is spotlessly clean, the pool and pool area is a big size and the staff are pleasant and very friendly. The rooms are smaller than expected, especially because ours had 3 beds. There were two of us and we had booked a room with pool facing balcony. There was no tea kettle in the room either, which I found very strange, especially in a four star hotel. You can ask them for it but it took a day to arrive and then there was no convenient place to plug it. We had booked bread and breakfast and the breakfast was great too, except for the juice machine, which is always mediocre and the coffee machine was Nescafe with really bad coffee. A pity since you can find great coffee in Spain. We did have dinner one evening at the hotel buffet and for 23 Euros there was very little variety. I would give that a miss next time. But overall, the hotel is highly recommended for ambience, cleanliness, staff, pool area, and breakfast. If you don't mind a smallish room, then I guess that's fine too. The video below is of the downstairs toilet, and they were always clean and smelled nice.

More or less an adult hotel perfect for quiet get away

Lets start with the good bits clean, nice big pool. Room done every day. Food not to bad managed to find things I liked. Most of the reception staff were lovely apart from one who was so rude to me and my daughter we were in total shock. Negatives no ball games, rubber rings, etc allowed at all in the pool. Saw a few kids crying because of this including my grand children. It took two hours on the easy jet transfer to get to the hotel so be prepared for a long journey. Not much to do for kids half hour entertainment so late 9 oclock evening. If you want a nice quiet holiday near the beach perfect. Not really for kids.

Welcoming, clean and spacious hotel

Hotel is immaculate. We felt very welcome as soon as we arrived. Room was spacious (we had first floor room with 2 single beds and 1 double bed with a bigger balcony overlooking tennis courts) room was also cleaned daily and towels changed. The whole hotel feels very clean! Safe is also free and WiFi is good all around the hotel. Staff are very polite and attentive at the bar and round the buffet. Food was good for the most part but theres plenty places to eat within a 20 min walk either way up or down the coast. One gripe is people reserving sunbeds then not turning up (although the lifeguard started taking peoples towels away at 11am if no one arrived) Hotel is a stones throw away from two supermarkets, a gift shop and a pharmacy so you can stock up on essentials. Beach is a 5 min walk down the road and bus stops are right outside to go to Salou or Cambrils. Towels can be rented (10 deposit that you get back) One thing to note is that the hotel bar, pool bar and restaurant are all cashless. You can either pay on card or you get a wrist band which can be pre loaded or paid upon check out (or if you reach the 300 limit) Entertainment staff were great with kids (and adults) and there was plenty to do throughout the day. Nighttime entertainment was also great although currently inside so get in early to get a seat. Our first time to Cambrils/Salou and I would return to this hotel!
