A week in paradise.

Pros:
Joneiry and Manuel were fantastic at the pool bar. Could not have asked for better service from the bartenders overall but those two were beyond great.
Food at the buffet and themed restaurants was fantastic and the trip was very affordable.
The coffee shop was very nice and every bar other than the pool bars seemed to have an espresso machine ready to dispense caffeine.
The room was enormous. Housekeeping ran daily and the minibar was restocked regularly as well. Our housekeeper Diana folded us a beautiful pair of towel swans that we admired every morning.
Beach access was close as was the dive shop if its your thing, we spent 90% of our time at one of the two large pools.
It was also crazy affordable. For both of us we paid less than 3k including airfare and miscellaneous travel expenses.
Cons:
I got eaten alive by mosquitos, but my wife seems to be untouched. If youre the type that attracts them make sure you bring and use strong mosquito repellant.
The photo of Mao Zedong on the wall of the American restaurant was a choice. Not a real con, but it definitely struck me as very odd to display a photo of a man known for killing hundreds of thousands as a tyrant and millions more as an incompetent dictator.
My tism was not a fan of the loud music that occasionally popped up, but it was easy enough to avoid. No one else seemed phased, so its probably a me thing.
