Ocean Blue & Sand, Punta Cana

My daughter and I had a wonderful time here. The beach was lovely, the pool - and drinks! - were wonderful, the food was good (sometimes excellent), rooms were gorgeous, and all the staff was fantastic. Special shout out to Pokémon in the entertainment staff. He had so much energy and kept everyone engaged and entertained. We would love to return!

My kids asked me to write a review. Prior to going we would read all the reviews, so here is ours. We travelled as a family of 4. Kids aged 13 And 15. Overall is was a great a great experience. Ill break it down. GOOD Location! It is about 30 minutes from the airportwhich I love. We flew Sunwing, which included a transport to the hotel. We decided to pay for a private cab instead. $35 USD and well worth it. Lobby. This hotels lobby is the most beautiful lobby I have seen. We loved spending our evenings in there after dinner, listening to music and watching the light entertainment. Bar was great. Pools. The pools are huge and soooo clean. We spent a lot of time in the pools. Never felt gross afterwards. Loved the swim up bar. Temperature of the water was perfect. There are 2 pools. First one is the quiet pool. Second one is the party pool. Since they are close together you hear the music at both. Didnt bother us. Beach. Although the beach is still a little eroded it is very nice. Soft sand and gorgeous blue water. Very little seaweed. It was cleaned up regularly by a tractor. Food. Overall food was great. Buffet was the best resort buffet we have ever experienced. Breakfast was my favourite. The omelette station is worth the wait. Folks, please tip the omelette guy. Service. We experience great service. From check in, through restaurants and check out. Miguel at the buffet was awesome We got to know him and he would bring us our drinks at lunch without us even asking. Our last day was his day off, but he asked his coworkers to prepare a beautiful table for us. When we walked in for breakfast we felt like VIP guests. Our table was set with beautiful napkins and flowers. What a nice touch. Our room was cleaned daily and flowers were left to decorate the space. NOT AS GOOD We did not have privilege. There are two restaurants that need to prebook reservations To do this you have to line up. In order to get a spot and not wait in line forever we had to be there by 6:45am. We had to do that twice. A little annoying. Umbrellas and Chairs. All of the reviews are correct. If you want a chair with an umbrella you need to get up at 6:30or before to get a spot. My husband did it for us. Bathroom in our room. Reviews are not wrong when they say the rooms could use some TLC. It didnt ruin anything but, want to be honest. Just a personal item. Entertaining started too late! 9:30pm after a day in the sun was too late for us. We tried but never made it! Again. We had a great time. Everyone, please tip! These people work very hard. Long hours, many days in a row, for next to nothing. Dont be chesp. Tip!!!

Excellent service with the entire crew specially with the animation group yamburo. Shaggy and the other guys. Excellent drivers and restaurants.We need exactly great customer service like the team that you have right now.

The staff has been exceptional, especially Yamburo. He is a person with a big heart and very attentive. In our full stay he has dedicated his time to us making sure his greet is there and offering us all possible help. Another one that has being there for us are Rodolfo and Shaggy

Best experience ever. Every body was awesome. Yamburo, Shippy Hammer, Shaggy, Mini Cooper were very attentive from start to finish. Will definitely come back to soend time with them again. Thank you Ocean Blue.
