We had our son's tenth birthday party at the HIO Costa Teguise. It was a surprise party which the deputy manager, Ben was intricate in the planning. Being a first for us, we were unsure how the hotel will manage our request. However from request to delivery, the staffs were amazing and professional. Our son had a fabulous foam party organised and was a great memory for him. The animation team who played an important role also were very brilliant. Fiona, Matteo, Marco and Fredrico were superb. The DJ did a great job and we can't leave out the most exceptional staffs at the hotel - the bar staffs. Though they weren't present for the birthday party, they have always gone above and beyond in making our stay as comfortable as possible as far as our bar activities are concerned - Vicki, Jamilla, Roberto and Miguel. Our son's favourite, who works in Maxi club, Karen! a great and accommodating lady has always looked after our son and made him feel welcomed. I would recommend this hotel to any family wanting to try out Lanzarote for the first time being a regular on the Island and having tried a few other hotels, this is one not to miss. The kids activities/club, the meal varieties, pool and most important DAISY!!! We aren't one to write reviews but had to for this fabulous hotel.

Best family holiday spent here. We stayed a week. This hotel is absolutely perfect for little ones. As there are playgrounds on site.. football pitch.. zip line. Baby club and kids club ( all free included in the stay). Ans of course swimming pools. ( A baby pool, the big pool with slide and the deeper warmer pool). We went all inclusive and it did make a big difference;) We went breakfast first thing in the morning.. then pool time or kids club... Then a little lunch by the pool bar ( we only went buffet lunch in the restaurant twice, and used the pool bar for snack lunch the other times).. then again in the pool until evening.. then a lovely filling dinner and then mini disco and entertainment show after. Regarding the food : it was delicious and various. Buffet style. Changed every day. Regarding the room: we stayed in Tenerife block.. and loved it. Had a huge terrace on ground floor with 2 sun beds, clothes horse and a table with chairs. Room was perfect temperature but had air con if needed together with fridge and kettle, hairdryer, safe, 2 tv. Regarding the animation team: outstanding. We want to come back here just for them. So friendly. Full of smiles early in the morning. Knew names of the kids... Made my boy Danny's stay so fantastic. He loves going to the kids club so much that few times we had to cancel our plans to go to the beach early morning as he wanted to go to his *teachers ". He loved the minidisco and meeting Daisy the mascot of the hotel everyday ;) ... Entertainment after the minidisco was perfect for adults and kids. Mine were tired after the minidisco so often fell asleep at the chairs of the auditorium and us adults watched the show lol Definitely come back again. Thanks to all involved to make our stay superb as a first family holiday abroad ;)

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. If you're looking for a family friendly destination, this is definitely the right choice. There's entertainment for all age groups and our kids had a fantastic time at both the Mini Club and Junior Club, with plenty of activities to keep them engaged everyday. Our children were thrilled to receive certificates on stage, it really made them feel special. One of the highlights for the little ones was also Daisy, the hotels adorable mascot, who made appearances twice a day, once during the cocktail game and once at the mini disco. The evening shows were also a pleasant surprise, as Disney fans, we especially loved Dreams Come True and Hakuna Matata. In general, the staff was consistently kind, attentive, and always smiling, something we deeply appreciated throughout our stay. If theres one area that could be improved, its the food. The hotel offers a different themed dinner every night, and while some were excellent like spanish night (with a delicious paella and perfectly cooked entrecote) and canary night (a great chance to try local cuisine) others fell short. Mondays theme, for example, was unclear and featured mostly fast food, which didnt appeal to us. One particular fish, which we believe was called "moon fish," was unfortunately inedible and wed recommend leaving it off the menu in the future. As for the fruit, apart from the papaya and oranges, most were disappointingly bland. Overall, though, it was a wonderful family experience and we would gladly return, especially for the entertainment and the welcoming atmosphere.

Stayed here for a week in Easter with our 18 month old. We booked a bungalow which was a very good decision as the separate bedroom and 2 terraces made it very easy to still have an evening whilst the little one was asleep. The room was great, a comfy bed which was plenty big enough and not 2 singles pushed together which was a nice change to other European hotels. The aircon was 'ok' and kept the room cool but probably could have been a bit better as on hot days it wasn't quite enough. The food overall was very good. Whilst a little repetitive between lunch and dinner, there was still plenty of options, all looked fresh and tasted nice. Breakfast was good although didn't open until 7:15 which seemed a bit late, especially if you have children who wake up early! We tended to have lunch int he pool bar instead just to break up the lunch/dinner repeat Our son was a little young to enjoy the kids clubs but from what i saw, the animation team did a great job and there were plenty of activities through the day to keep them entertained. The activities for adults were also fun The staff were all brilliant, everyone was friendly and polite. The drinks were nice and cocktails being made fresh rather than out of a machine was a really nice addition The 3 pools gave a nice mix for kids and adults. The kids 'paddle pool' was a nice start to get our son into the water and then we could take him to the bigger pool with the slides which he enjoyed. The 'adult pool' was the warmest and was actually quite pleasant, the other 2 were a little chilly but but too bad Location was great, a few shops within a minutes walk and then 10 minutes walk from the waterfront area with plenty of bars and restaurants Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend
