Rubicon - for the third time!
Mark B
I travelled to H10 Rubicon Horizons Collection in September 2025 for my second visit, my first being in September 2024 whilst named H10 Rubicon Palace.
I genuinely loved staying ar Rubicon. From the moment I walked into the impressive forum, to check-in and finally getting a late check-out and everything in between. Ok, the weather on the final day was a bit disappointing - it rained - but I don't think I can blame the hotel or staff for that! :-)
The hotel is HUGE. The rooms are good, clean, modern. The grounds are well laid out, and easy to navigate. When I went there were not too many kids, which was also good. The a la cartes lived up to expectations, but the buffet restaurant really has everything you'd want, and the dessert selection is incredible. One visit for dessert is not enough! :-)
The staff are VERY friendly and helpful.
With all that in mind, I am returning for my third visit in September, but no longer as a solo traveller. And I can't wait to share the Rubicon.
New for 2026 is the "adults-only" area. This is in the area I stayed last year and I am hoping I can get to stay in this same section again this year. The location and pool were perfect.
Rubicon - I'll see you in 63 days!

This experience truly surpassed our expectationspure luxury and the kindest staff we've ever met. I visited with my mum for a week in the adults-only section, and as someone who works as a spa hotel bartender, waitress, and chef, I can honestly say the quality is outstanding.
Food lovers will never tire of the buffet restaurant. The variety is incredibleI've never seen so many options! From a massive salad bar, deli meats, cheeses, and fruit salads to stir fry, pasta, nuggets with chips, bread stations, and much more. That was just for one dinner. Lunch and breakfast also blew me away.
There's a range of la carte restaurants offering different cuisines, catering to every craving.
At the pool bar, you can grab take-away fruit, pastries, sandwiches, salads, nachos, and chicken from the fridge.
Drinks? Absolutely everything! Cocktails, coffees, milkshakes, frappés, smoothies, beers, cidersall availableand multiple filtered water stations sprinkled throughout the resort. Whatever you're in the mood for, you'll find it here.
Rooms are spotless and cozy, equipped with a coffee and tea station, a large wardrobe, a hairdryer, and a spacious shower. Each room features a balcony or an outdoor areacannot go wrong.
The pools are kept cleaner daily and are enormousperfect for fun with rubber rings and playing catch. Truly stunning.
Beach access is just a short, lovely walk along the coast, offering breathtaking views.
An unforgettable getaway that I highly recommend!

Lovely but not quite 5 star

We travelled as a couple in our 50s wanting an adult only, all inclusive relaxing holiday; and that was exactly what we got. Smooth checkin through the airport with the new fingerprint and facial recognition. Quick transfer of about half hour. Beautiful grand reception area with kind and clear staff. Taken via buggy to adult only room area. Room 5096 overlooked adult pool, huge balcony with sea view too. Room cleaned everyday. Fully stocked mini bar with beer, water, juices, sweets and crisps. Only filled once though, to pay for after that. Asked at reception for an iron, delivered immediately. Bathroom door lock handle broke, also fixed immediately. 2 pool towel cards given, no deposit needed.
Food, main reception was big and very busy. Always got a drink quickly and plenty of food. Not so much choice for a vegetarian other than salads though. Thankfully we were able to use the Adult only Blue Moon for breakfast from 7.30. Calm beautiful setting. Gluten free toast made to order. Unfortunately, the food was always luke warm. Are there once for dinner but was awful, cod mush in a pepper. Continued to eat there for breakfast though. Used 2 other restaurants, booked via a large touch screen in lobby; as part of all inclusive; the Italian where they made gluten free pizza. Rigatoni to die for. Amazing meal. Also ate at the Oriental which was perfect. Did find across the resort there were many cracked or chipped drinking glasses which we had to ask to be changed. The star was the Adult only Bistro where we ate lovely packed poke bowl salads with a choice of 3 toppings and different dressings. All drinks from there can also be taken down to the adult pool. Nice clean toilet there. Quite a lack of toilets across the resort. Most people went back to their rooms to use toilet. Mike's coffee shop was a refreshing break for juices or iced coffees. All part of all inclusive.
Nice snacks around main pool bar, the usual burger, chips etc but also nachos with guacamole and cheese.
Didn't use the show bar or sports bar. Went into the Piano Bar every evening for amazing cocktails. Maybe order double drinks as does get harder to get a waiters attention as table service only. Lovely comfortable area. Only 2 nights out of 7 was any music played though.
Amazing promenade walk out the back to the left onto the harbour area. Took about 30mins. Stopped for nice coffee at The Irish Anvil. Beautiful beach area, protected lagoon type feel. Also walked to the right to the lighthouse. Nothing down that eat just beautiful sea views. Same distance about 30mins.
The few down points; chipped glasses, lack of toilets, a few rude staff around main pool bar, Piano bar hardly a music place. Music only played twice in 7 days.. but lovely adult only pool, no rush for sunbeds; could get a bed anytime of day, Bistro food staff and area was so nice. Reception staff professional and helpful.
Watch this space for how the tier band system develops. There is a Privileged, Adult Only All Inclusive, All Inclusive, and half board status. We were able to use all except Privileged pool and privileged lunch restaurant but didn't prevent our stay being relaxing.
Another H10 hotel down the coast and a Tui Blue.
Overall was lovely.
