H10 Lanzarote Princess, Lanzarote

This hotel to be fair is apparently in the process of being upgraded however please be warned if you are put into one of the family rooms as I was (room 45) then you are not going to be happy as o was met by a decrepit room that quite frankly should have not been n use not lest due to the black mould on the walls. I went straight to reception and I was reallocated to a different room (newly refurbished but stinking of solvent and missing a sofa until the penultimate day of our trip) better than we had but also basically told take it or leave it. The rest of our stay was good Restaurant a bit hit and miss food wise so we mostly ate out . Facilities were great and kept spotless by an army of staff always on the go. Plenty sunbeds and lots of space. Great location for the actual shops and restaurants on the beach front and above. I did email H10 on my return and they replied they were “sad” my experience had not been good and hoped I would return to try again? My translation goes something like this “ Yeah shame that but we have your money now go away you mad tourist you are annoying us “

H10 Lanzarote Princess Playa Blanca I did enjoy my holiday 943848931 Food not the best. It's like being in a war zone in the food drop area, I'm not joking. Good things all inclusive. If you like a drink, cleanliness, entertainment, great location. This is going to be your hotel. Conclusion. I think the hotel is trying to be something it is not. So why 4 points? Answer there is no 3 and half points.

Check in. Very easy, we were 30 minutes early but they took out bags for us and directed us to bar and restaurant for lunch until our room was ready. 5/5 Room. Lovely room, clean, light decor and airy. Bed was comfortable but was two singles which moved very easily. Bathroom was great, very clean and toiletries were fantasic. Balcony was a little small and very overlooked but view of montana roja was Amazing. 4/5 Food Mixed bag but i think it may be our culture. Very Mediterranean and mostly seemed to be meat on the bone or fish. Many nights there was rabbit and "meat" paella. Salads, pasta and vegetables were very good. Breakfast was good most days, especially the cava! Food at the pool bar was just typical cheap burgers and sandwiches which were nothing special yet not offensive. 3/5 Drinks We were all inclusive and the drinks were fantastic, great choice on menu and bonus that first round in the mini bar is free. 5/5 Hotel facilities Clean, modern and fresh. The hotel has been around for a long time but only thing that gave its age away was the very small slow lifts. Pool areas were spotless. Main pool was excellent and the heated pool was nice. Pool table and other arcade games were great for a cloudy day. Wifi was free and included and pretty quick all day. Live music in the main bar was very good. Loads of parking for hire cars. 5/5 Staff Every member of staff we encountered were lovely and helpful. 5/5 Location The location of this hotel is the best in playa blanca. Right behind playa dorada beach and a 5 minute walk to main shops or 15 minutes to rubicon marina. 5/5 Overall Excellent hotel with great staff, facilities and value for money. Stayed in many h10s and this was a excellent choice. The rubicon Palace is a better hotel overall but it is so far from main resort.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, all the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The gardens and public areas are beautiful and kept in pristine condition. However, although we were given a room with a walk in shower as requested, which was very helpful! We were so disappointed with the room itself! Considering the 4* status and cost it was very dreary and dark ! In fact depressing! The balcony was awful, it had the most enormous tree overshadowi it and blocking all light, The view was of the bin and recycling area. We were woken each morning at 6am by the sound of bottles being thrown into the bins ! There were 2 hard chairs but 1 was broken! There was a new TV which worked well. If we wanted to use the safe we would have had to pay extra ! We have stayed in hotels with better rooms and facilities costing less. The best thing about this hotel is its nearness to the beach and the centre.

Wonderful hotel with friendly hard working staff. Clean, modern rooms with daily housekeeping. The buffet was varied with lots on offer. No one should go hungry! There were three bars and entertainment on each night. There are also a few poolside bars and plenty of sun loungers. We spent a very pleasurable week here and would highly recommend the hotel.
