H10 Playa Meloneras Palace, Gran Canaria

We stayed from the 12th until 19th April all inclusive Privilege level so can only relate to our experience in privilege . Firstly like all hotels around the world , and we have stayed at many not one has been perfect there is always good and not so good . We found our experience to be in general very good . Like any hotel the staff are key and we found all the staff we interacted with were all warm friendly and helpful . We found the hotel quite difficult to navigate due to its unusual layout. Our room was very nice and kept very clean . The restaurants we used were the Gaudi, Naturalia /La Brasserie. Although they had daily specials the main menus never changed which we found a little disappointing. As we have said the staff in all restaurants were great we have to give Adrianna a big shout out she is a total credit to the hotel . We found the quality of the food in all restaurants in general is of a very good standard as we have said nothing is perfect and you can always find something to pick on or is not to your taste . Would we stay again most certainly. Thank you again all the hard working staff.

We stayed for a week in mid April, one of the best hotel where we have been. Staff very friendly and very knowledgeable, food amazing and a lot of activities for kids and adults. The hotel has 3 pool and 1 for kids, rooms are very clean and big. Our room had a patio with 2 seats and a table where you can chill/ have an apero. I will come back for sure!

Once again a great holiday with some of the best staff at any hotel that I have been to. Sergio and Brahim are fantastic. Very attentive, very polite and nothing is too much trouble. Privilege food is amazing. It's a shame some building works are going on, but the planned changes to restaurants sound great. Benjamin needs to be in a job we're he is not customer facing, or needs to be taught to be polite and work harder.

Absolutely loved this hotel. We are lucky enough to have travelled the world many times. We usually choose a hotel at least in the top 10 of TripAdvisor if not top 5. But we liked the look of this one and was mixed reviews here and on Google. We decided to go for it and try it for ourselves.....we have now popped it on our top 5 hotels ever! We decided to upgrade to the privilege level before we arrived and I'm so glad we did. We loved the privilege infinity pool, it was super peaceful. Brilliant you can help yourself to drinks. As Privilege you can eat all your meals in the Al La Carte restaurants.... I have to say this was some of the nicest food we have eaten (not far off cruise ship level food) We favoured La Brassiere on an evening and the service was great, the staff really do look after you. Lunch in the Naturalia was in a really nice setting and again the staff are brilliant. The Tropical chill out bar for sunset is very nice. We loved the walk to Meloneras and to the dunes in a morning for sunrise, it wasn't that far we probably reached the shops in around 10 minutes along the promenade. The staff all stop and say hello which is lovely. The privilege rooms are very nice we stayed on level 5 over looking the privilege pool with a beautiful sea view. My only criticism would be .... the floors don't get swept/hoovered and started to get a bit dusty/sandy towards the end of our stay. We were really sad to leave last night and can't wait to return.

We stayed 12 nights early/mid October and caught the last of the heatwave for our first few days (34degrees) but then it reverted back to the expected weather of a very pleasant 27/28 degrees. We went Privilege (and all inclusive) and as other reviewers had said the Privilege Level rooms have just been refurbished and we certainly had no complaints on the size or room condition. The aircon is not the greatest and a bit confusing with switches by the bed and a wall mounted control unit. It just about kept the room at a reasonable temperature but one evening we went to the entertainment and turned it off and it took at least two hours to bring the room back to a comfortable sleeping temperature on our return. As part of the Privilege benefit you could have all your meals at one of the two a la carte restaurants but after eating lunch at The Naturalia restaurant the first couple of days we found we were having too much food and so went to the buffet restaurant for lunch and had light salads there. The food offerings at La Brasserie and Gaudi restaurants for dinner were varied (with a special menu options every night) and all the meats we had were always of an excellent quality. We found the spa and gym to be very good and we really enjoyed our visits there pre-lunch time. Beware the tiles in the changing rooms as they are quite slippery if you have wet feet after a shower. The is also an exclusive pool area for Privilege guests which had plenty of sunbeds, beer on tap and a well stocked wine and spirits area. The buses were having several strike days when we were there and this put us of going on day trips to other parts of the island, however, we intend to re-visit the island in the near future and will get out and about more. We were advised the walk to the Maspalonas dunes is about 2 miles and this put us of doing that especially as it was extremely warm for the first few days we were there. The hotel is a bit on the edge of the built up area but as we largely stayed on-site this was not an issue. It is a large hotel and is spread out and was a bit confusing for the first couple of day but we soon got the hang of it. The evening entertainment on offer was generally average to poor, although some guests seemed to be enjoying the Saturday singing group which was held outside, no doubt fueled by the excellent staff who were constantly walking around taking drink orders! We really like H10 hotels and you could always find something to your taste to go to in the evening, the regular entertainment and piano music in The Lobby bar. There were two large swimming pools so I am sure if you enjoy lazing around the pool a walk around these early on in your visit you would find an area that would really suit you. We shall return to Gran Canaria but will find another hotel in a different location as, unusually for H10, they do not have any other hotel on the island.
