"La Cuina a Sils" at the H10 Casanova. Traditional Catalan cuisine dining events

This February, the H10 Casanova hotel, located in Barcelona city centre, will be featuring a series of dining events focusing on traditional Catalan cuisine organised together with "La Cuina a Sils", with the aim of demonstrating the culinary wisdom that has been passed down from generation to generation in Catalonia. For the first of these events, to be held on 12 February, the hotel will be organising a private lunch attended by members of local government and the renowned Catalan chef Carme Ruscalleda, who has a total of seven Michelin stars – the most of any female chef in the world. From 12 to 15 February, every evening from 8:30 pm to 11 pm, the most highly regarded female chefs from "La Cuina a Sils" will be treating diners to a buffet tasting menu consisting of 3 appetisers, 2 first courses, 3 main courses and 2 desserts served with DO Empordà wine and Perelada Brut cava, as well as coffee and petit fours.

All dishes will be served by the chefs from "La Cuina a Sils", who will provide a detailed explanation of the history of the dishes and how they are made. Diners can enjoy this evening for €35 (including VAT). The dining events will take place in the H10 Casanova's modern and stylish Mediterrani restaurant, where diners will discover the secrets of traditional recipes such as "fideus a la cassola" (noodle stew), "escudella de pagès" (country-style meat and vegtable soup), "croquetes de carn d'olla" (meat croquettes) and "bacallà amb panses i pinyons" (cod with raisins and pine nuts).
