Berlin, a city full of culture, history and night life

Berlin is the capital city of the Federal Republic of Germany and one of the sixteen German federal States. It is located in the northeast of Germany, a mere 70 km away from the border with Poland. It is crossed by the rivers Spree and Havel. With a population of 3.4 million inhabitants, Berlin is the country's most populated city, as well as the fifth-largest conurbation of the European Union countries.


Berlin has a continental climate with warm and sunny summers and very cold and damp winters, with an annual average temperature of around 12ºC.

June, July and August are the hottest months, with maximum temperatures that can reach up to 30ºC. The coldest months are December, January and February with minimums that normally drop below zero. ​
